I wonder if the A.I. will actually contribute to anything. Maybe this will become a MOBA-Lite and you need to protect your bots to cap objectives. Of course it won't happen, but it's fun to imagine MOBA mechanics being seamlessly integrated into an actual multiplayer storyline instead of being completely arbitrary.
So the quality of their AI isn't really as important since they're mostly used to create a more intense athmosphere and give players that aren't as good something to get score from or distract enemies from the Pilots who are the real threat.
Plus, killing the minions will give your Titan quicker, which is fair enough. I have a feeling there will be"classic" gamemode and smaller maps somewhere down the line that are just classic Pilot vs Pilot, without any minions or titans.
This game looks cool but not 60€ cool. Also since it's an EA game it's probably a bad idea to buy it on release.

The game is only 49.99 there, compare that to the 100 USD I have to pay if I buy it through origin... The only major downside with living in Sweden :suicide: [editline]19th January 2014[/editline]
You need to correct the OP to include Xbox 360.
I seriously did not know that this game was coming out for current game, I hope that this does not impact the visual side too much. Also, for anyone looking at the leaked alpha footage and thinking about the low res textures, remember the devs themselves said that the alpha is running at 1/4 of the intended texture size because they wanted file size to be as low as possible for easy download.

Basically they'll be doing the exact opposite here, but they do know how to treat oldgen HW.

See, I'm debating to myself if i want to get the 360 version first while i try to save up the money for the Xbox One when it comes to the summer. I'm on the fence here.
Get the PC version instead, best looking version and you won't have to think about buying it twice.
Touché I might consider that, actually.
Touché I might consider that, actually.
get the PC version and we'll all be able to play together as FP pals even though the engine's heavily modified, i'm hoping it'll still be well-optimised like other Source games
I doubt the AI will be anywhere near the threat level of the human players though. I wonder if there'll be any way to easily distinguish between them?
You can easily distinguish AI from players. The AI characters are bulkier, move in groups, and don't have jetpacks.
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x19x61p_tf_videogames Some domination gameplay!
I can handle source games fine on my PC but I'm a bit worried I won't be able to play this since it can hardly be called source anymore
I'm so pumped for this game. I've wanted something similar to Mech Warrior on the Xbox for quite some time. I loved being able to get out on foot and such and always wanted an FPS with Mechs. Definitely getting this if it gets off to a good start. I'm not too bothered about the player limits, the Titans make up for it and it's nice not to have a constant clusterfuck like BF4.
I should had mentioned that i prefer the smaller player limits to higher player limits, i actually had more fun playing 4 vs 4's on Team Fortress 2 on Xbox than the 32+ clusterfucks on PC, so the whole 6 vs 6 "problem" really doesnt faze me that much.
I'm really hoping there's a game mode devoid of these minions and just pits players and titans vs players and titans I feel like that'll be the sweet spot of the game for me
I don't really see any downsides with origin, except that my game collection is pretty scattered between services right now.
Well yeah, but how would everyone feel if Valve had a monopoly for digital distribution? :v: I know most of this forum is in love with Steam but this wouldn't be ideal.
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x19x61p_tf_videogames Some domination gameplay!
That dude released two other gameplay videos, tf2 and tf3. watching some gameplay has hyped me for this, it looks great fun

TF2 video sports some sniper rifle footage. I hope they will include some powerful bolt-action (laser) snipers, cuz I wasn't impressed with the automatic one.
These new gameplays seem quite... not professional compared to the old angel city footage. Looks like the person doesn't play FPS' with a controller a lot. Better than nothing I guess.
one thing i've noticed in this gameplay footage is that it looks like it runs on a limited magazine system rather than an ammo pool perhaps this means that reloading while ammo is still in the magazine will result in lost ammo?
with 15 magazines though that wouldn't exactly be much of a problem
I wonder how shotguns behave in this? The movement looks perfect for some shotgun brutality.
I've played the alpha this game is phenomenal. Controls are so fluid. Wall running is so well done. This game is pure fun.
gg breaking your nda m8 just kidding, i'm jealous, i'm really excited for this game
So pretty much a CQC tribes game?
This game looks pretty fun. Though I wish they had larger maps, the AI doesn't seem to be that good at killing either.

After watching these, my interest in Titanfall has gone from "Meh, looks ok I guess" to "URGE TO PREORDER RISING". The only thing that has me on the fence is whether or not the PC version will have dedicated servers.
