I've never played more than 10 hours of a CoD game
I've put in 160+ into Titanfall
There's something different but I can't put my finger on it (except the parkour, double jump, no bullshit noobtubes or quickscoping, and giant robots that are awesome).
It's the massive increase in mobility. If you are walking around on the ground neglecting to use wall running or double jumps then yeah it's gonna feel like CoD but those are massive parts of the game. When you get good at combining the two you can traverse across maps in seconds.
If you play this game like cod then you are playing it wrong.

Yeah which is nice but I've already played 6 games worth of CoD. The little idiosyncrasies are all still there, so it's a bit stale for me. Glad I didn't buy it at least, even if it's potentially fun.

Aww I don't like that they are nerfing the mag size of the carbine to 24 and 30. The added recoil probably would have been enough imo.
I love that they are giving huge buffs to the hemlok and G2 though.
The Plasma Railgun and Arc Cannon kinda deserved more buffs but didn't get them.

R101 is probably getting hugely nerfed because it was ridiculously powerful all the time, when it shouldn't be.
I can see the r97 being the new go to weapon. Sounds really good now but idk if I can switch off shotty since it's just too damn fun.

Yeah I realize it deserved to be nerfed but I was just thinking it should have been +recoil and -ranged damage.
Also I have no idea why I do so well at this game, I suck major ass at COD, BF, CSS, and most other online PC shooters.

I think it's because even the few gameplay differences completely changed how the game is played in comparison to the listed games, so if you try to play Titanfall like one of those you're going to get wrecked. That's the only explanation for why I'm so damn good at it.
My Titanfall is updating, is that patch already rolling out?

Gen 8 almost entirely sucked the fun out of this game for me. "All I do is Win" was such an awful, boring, tedious challenge. My first match as a Gen 9 was so much fun though, it feels great to level up and not have to care which team wins.
Getting 50 MVP's is probably gonna be more enjoyable.

It makes you hate whoever gets just 1 more point than you. It wasn't the most enjoyable thing. G10 is where the fun is at.
so did the patch mess up the game a bit for anyone else? none of the new sounds were working and just giving me static, so i tried the fix posted on respawn forums which was to delete certain vpk files out of the game files and repair the game and kill that direct x process. after i restarted, the game was just greyed out on origin. I uninstalled it and restarted origin, and i'm reinstalling it now. hopefully will work after this. I just wanted to play some titanfall before bed and now i've been trying to fix it for the last 3 hours :(
Origin pretty much never let's me log on now, if it even logs on I get stuck in offline mode and going into online mode causes it to go back to the log in screen.
Not sure about this cock blocking of burn cards now. So far I burn 2-3 cards in a match but earn 4-5. That 60 seconds I should be trying to sort out my kit/new unlocks I'm too busy trying to decide which cards I can afford to discard so I can actually equip the others, then trying to figure out what cards I actually want.
Maybe it will ease off once I get closer to the end of my 2nd prestige thingy but for now it's kind of irritating. SO MANY BURN CARDS D:

So when does this game get better? I recently picked it up and all it does is feel like Call of Duty with NPCs. The Titan's don't feel like mechs they feel like I just got a bigger gun and the wall running feels floaty and not like I'm actually running on a wall. So far all the players I've met are unskilled and the NPCs just stand around and let me shoot them.

The titans don't feel like mechs... really, Call of duty with NPC's, glad to know you've played CoD a lot then to know this, I don't even know how, the only thing similar is the fast pace and maybe the ranks/level up system but most games have that.... anyways
About to played again after a week or so of not playing, bought the DLC, wish me luck
