Pretty crazy how dead this game/thread got. Horde mode is pretty fun though, as are titan OS voices. Wish there was a male German though.
Just got 195 in attrition, and am a Platinum 1 rank woohoo. Ogre with core accelerator is really strong. An outsource burncard would make you borderline invincible if you're good in a titan.
The last update turned nine tenths of the sounds in the game in loud garbled audio farts. I hope the repair function solves the problem.
Arc cannon is great in the new gamemode btw.

Try deleting the following files in Titanfall\vpk\
client_mp_common.bsp.pak000_034.vpk

client_mp_common.bsp.pak000_038.vpk

I'm using 40mm with extended mag on my Atlas(because I've only unlocked the smaller one, Ogre is still locked). I'm really glad that devs were generous enough to make all challenges work with Frontier Defense. I have gotten multiple level ups so far in every round, and this makes this gamemode even more enjoyable to me. Needless to say, I'm quite a fan of 'horde modes' provided there is on-site upgrade/new items system or player ranks with new unlockable items.
Frontier defense is so damn fun. I'm gonna grab the season pass so i can play it on those maps too.
Anyone else getting really long as shit load times? I usually get in at the end of the first wave and its goddamn annoying

Why does 2nd and 3rd games allways lose connection? 3 of my other buds got the same issue. I'm on gametime so I haven't bought it, so I'm wondering if there's a fix?

The community manager has said that it's not going away
Figured out my crashing and lag. Was Origin's in-game overlay.
But now maps won't load. Just returns me to the menu.

They need to advertise Frontier Defense now, because I suspect it can boost game sales well as it's a good co-op mode

FPS lag or lag lag? Game still doesn't run great for me.
edit: sooo...we need to be able to place barricades or something. Airbase is fucking [I]hard[/I]. Shitload of nuke titans just rushing the harvester, no way of slowing them down.
Mortar + nuke titans is worst wave. Though it makes me feel like a hero hen I'm alone 'yolo-ing' 8 titans at same time and manage blow all of them up. oh and constant noise of completed challenge is amusing

There's also a 2 wave event of which the first one contains two spectre snipers. That's it, just the two of them. It's not a bug though, as the commanders on the radio were just as surpised as we were.
The second wave is wave 2+3+4+5+6 crammed together in one big clusterfuck. 13 mortar titans, 11 nuke titans, 20+ regular titans, hundreds of spectres and grunts, and a few dozen suicide spectres.
Yeah, even after two retries we couldn't finish it. v:v:v
I level up so fast.
I love running a railgun ogre with slaved warheads. Pop a particle wall, charge your railgun, and destroy nuke titans quickly and painlessly.

Active enough. Several hundred playing Frontier Defense in my US East zone where you only need 4 people. Other modes are significantly less active, but honestly FD is probably all I'll be playing.
The most popular modes are frontier defence (coop) and attrition (team deathmatch.)
And they are most popular by a huge landslide, pretty much 90% of the player base.
is the dlc worth getting?
I think all the dlc maps are well made. You'll be able to play them every now and then in attrition or variety lobbies and you can play on them with the new horde mode.
In EU all DLC maps seem to be almost dead with 1-8 players max

Titanfail is a bust, they're trying to make it viable, but masses moved on to better games or simply don't care.
