I've killed more titans with the smart pistol than I have the sidewinder, rocket launcher, or my own titan.
So easy to just rodeo up on them, blast them with my first pistol, blast them & reload once, swap to my second pistol and empty the mag.
You can hear people when they jump on you.
First it's just metal noise, like something is on the roof.
Then you finally get a warning about enemy doing rodeo on your Titan, this happen when your CPU armor is broken.
I've got habit now, whenever I hear something on the roof, I immediately exit my titan and shot pesky bug out of my precious cabin. They won't even make any damage when you do that, due to how long it needs to remove that CPU shielding.
Right now, rodeo is very easy to counter, it's deadly though whenever You are in middle of fight with other titans...
Enemy grunts will cry out "We got a pilot here!" or something similar when you are nearby. Hearing that and then dropping a squad with a single smart pistol shot is great.

GG
stryder is absolutely funny because the charge core for the stryder is unlimited dash boosts.
This game is really fun and all but I don't think it'll be worth the price.
Yeah rodeo'ing a lone titan is a bad idea. Rodeo'ing a titan that's in a fight with another titan though is a lot more devastating. If they don't eject to deal with you, you rodeo him to death. If they do eject, the other titan wipes the pilot out as soon as he leaves.

Rodeoing a solo titan is easy enough if they're really stupid. I just spam the fire button and only get off when I'm absolutely sure they get out of the titan. If they're in an urban area I usually jump backwards onto a building and finish off their unmanned titan with my 3.

(sorry about the image it fucked up somehow)
Use [ t] [ /t] to put images.
There are 13 map lobby textures here (14 if you include the training map)

Probably gonna be 13 maps at launch I guess
This game is really fun and all but I don't think it'll be worth the price.
That's what I've been thinking, too.
It's fun as hell so far but I don't think it's 60 dollars fun. Hopefully I'll get it as a birthday gift so I won't have to spend any of my own money on it :V

sounds like a pretty good number to me

Titanfall feels like a really fun multiplayer game that should be sold at a discount price, a la a Multiplayer only title on Steam or something. I can't see myself dropping more than $30 on it.
I'm still stuck at "retrieving matchmaking list / attempting connection"
I thought they had this fixed last night?

it can stay on that for a pretty long time, but usually even when it does it will eventually connect, how long do you wait?
Very very fun game, want to get back to it right now.
Only sad thing is that my framerate isn't that great at the moment, hoping for Nvdia drivers on release.
Would I spend 60 bucks on it normally? Nah probably not. But My birthday's at the end of the month, I'll probably put aside some gift funds for it.
I put texture resolution on high but i still get textures like it's on low... anyone with this problem?
also is there anyway to enable console?
same here, i put textures n stuff on high but it still looks low-poly
then again the game tried telling me it was in fullscreen when it was windowed
you might just need to manually lower the settings, then re-raise them.

If you're being rodeo'd while in a fight you can hit X and then mash E to eject out of the titan, taking the enemy pilot with you.
I want to know - how many weapons, attachements, gamemodes will we have at launch and will there be camos/colours. If the answer is around BF4's scale, then I'm totally in. If not, then maybe on a big discount or a website with cheaper prices than usual.
Battlefield 4 has got loads of weapons, attachements and camos, and if Titanfall will have nearly as many as BF4 has, then it will be a great experience. But if not, then I expect it to get boring quite soon.
It's been a fun ride thus far, but unless some site does an insane discout on it, I think I'll wait after guys have checked how much content there is on launch, then determine how much I'm willing to pay for it.
While the mechanics are easy to learn, there doesn't seem to be much depth involved, which is something that lets other games get away with less quantity.
I got rodeo'd, and when I ejected, I was flying in the air and I saw the guy that did it flying up beside me.
At the top of the launch waaaay up in the air, I gave him a swift kick in the jaw and took him out.
GOTY.
Tell me you've shadowplayed that or something.
Rodeo'd someone, they bailed out then I jumped off and kicked said pilot in the face.

I wonder if the devs knew how much jumpkicks would add to the experience.

this reminds me, I heard the robo announcer say once that a friendly pilot was on my titan. Didn't know you could do that

It's nifty, a titan with a rider can't be boarded. It's kinda hard to shoot while riding though. Even if its friendly, its the same camera as when you're rodeo'ing, so most of your screen is taken up by the core.

I ride friendly titans all the time. You can get to objectives much faster if you have to cross open spaces.
Also, incase anyone hasn't noticed yet, you travel extremely quickly if you jump off a wallrun, using it at the start of Hardpoint matches can let you cap B early.
Titanfall seems to have a ingame screenshot function, does anyone know where they are saved?
EDIT: found it at C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Titanfall-Beta\r1\screenshots
