When is the beta again?
feb 14th is the rumoured release date iirc
It's not Source really, the engine has been modified way too much to be considered Source anymore, according to them. Also the fact that they're OK with 8800GT and yet require 4GB RAM is still ridiculous.
Yes, I know it's a modified source engine, but it's still officially the source engine. How is that ridiculous? It's the minimum requirements, it's still the source engine you don't need a powerful GPU to run it, and perhaps the modifications they did to the engine required more memory. It's not ridiculous at all. Who doesn't have at least 4GB of ram these days?
Wait, so it's going to be 64 bit only?
Waiy, so it's going to be 62 bit only?
No, 34bit only. [editline]5th February 2014[/editline]
Yes, I know it's a modified source engine, but it's still officially the source engine. How is that ridiculous?
Waiy, so it's going to be 62 bit only?
It's 64 bit only. 32 bit gaming is dead.
Do computers still exist that use 32bit processors and or OSes? I haven't seen one for years now. Especially gaming PCs.
The gameplay videos look awesome. The levels looks pretty big too. Have they talked about the tech at all? Does it still use BSP based levels?
Do computers still exist that use 32bit processors and or OSes? I haven't seen one for years now. Especially gaming PCs.
Any tablets that use Atoms still need 32-bit.
Any tablets that use Atoms still need 32-bit.
That was the case up until last year.
Lots of people still use 32 bit. They usually can't afford to upgrade, or they have no reason to.
Not if they aren't a gamer
64-bit? Oh well, maybe in a few years then if it's any good.
Then it shouldn't bother them as much if they don't want to upgrade.
It can if you're a casual player. I know people with like 5 steam games who play them like once every three weeks, and they all have a 32-bit OS.
Lots of people still use 32 bit. They usually can't afford to upgrade, or they have no reason to.
Weren't the last 32bit processors Pentium IVs (apart from Atoms apparently)?
My PC is 5-odd years old and is kept alive mainly by a graphics card. On this baby I've scored over 2000 hours on Gmod, over 800 on TF2, and I've played a bit on other games. It's also 32 bit. I want titanfall but I know I won't be getting such a thing for a whiles, not until I can afford a whole new computer. Upgrading this one would be like polishing a turd.
Oh fuck. I still have 32bit. :(
Not for long now! Haha!
Not for long now! Haha!
Alternatively he could switch to a console or not buy the game at all :v:
Alternatively he could switch to a console or not buy the game at all :v:
I replied to myself. :v: I'M not going to be on 32bit for much longer.
http://www.shacknews.com/article/83004/titanfall-on-xbox-360-arriving-on-march-25 not sure if this was already confirmed, but the xbox 360 version will be arriving a couple weeks later than the PC and xbone
I replied to myself. :v:
Whoops! Not used to that, my bad.
If you're getting this on Xbox One or 360, you can preorder it through your console for $59.99, you get a $10 Xbox gift card and you can add $39.99 for a year of Xbox Live (normally $59.99). Thought this would be useful especially for people in Australia because the prices are the same (as far as I know I saw the preorder on my 360).
Last night I had a dream about titanfall where it was humans vs aliens and the humans had all the titan mechs and stuff and after a while of me battlin' in a titan I saw a giant fuckin' alien in the distance and before I know it a pacific rim Jaeger just smashed in the ground and I ended up piloting it in my titan so I was piloting a mech piloting a mech it was sweet pls titanfall be awesome
Phuck yeah. I wonder if it will be first come first serve kind of thing?
I doubt it, but I'm still sure as hell gonna be there when the site goes down at 18:01 due to heavy traffic.
Sign ups at 6PM for me then. Time to go run some errands

signed up, I wonder what the odds are of getting into the beta
Man I hope I get into the beta. I was in the CoD4 beta and even had one of the devs address one of my concerns when I reported it. In the CoD4 beta the M4 was incredibly overpowered, and possibly bugged allowing it to kill people beyond walls with no noticeable damage reduction. Sadly I doubt the beta for Titanfall will be anything more than a network stress test.
