[QUOTE=WolfeClaw;43938749]I know what you mean. The game itself is great and really promising, but taking into consideration the devs and publisher, chances are a lot of the stuff we really want (eg. dedicated servers, no over-priced DLC, autobalance) isn't gonna come into play anytime soon.[/QUOTE]
Whether or not its a good thing aside, EA's probably going to slip Titanfall into its planned shooter rotation (if its successful).
As in every year you get a new Battlefield, Battlefront, or Titanfall, taking turns each time.
So if that does end up being the case, I'd imagine they want to use this game to nail down the concept, and the next game to expand upon it.
Titanfall 2: Fall Harder

TITANFALL 2: SHIT GOES DOWN
Depends on how the arrangement between EA and Respawn pans out. Right now Respawn can release a sequel any damn time they want.

If that's the case, then I dunno.
I don't really know how much control EA has with Respawn.
All I know is that EA mentioned it as an official [I]plan[/I]

How far that plan goes is beyond me.
[QUOTE=LuaChobo;43938965]i like how most of the cod team moved to EA/Microsoft
and bungie went from Microsoft to Sony/Activision[/QUOTE]
I wish/hope Destiny comes to PC.
I don't know if the beta has opened yet but here's a PC code:
H7EE-ECXA-3KNQ-QY77-WAX6
i find it amusing titanfall has the steamapp id 620, which is the id for portal 2.

So then that means each game gets roughly two years of development time?
As in; battlefield->battlefront->titanfall->battlefield->etc ?
[QUOTE=LuaChobo;43938998]didn't bungie say its outright not going to happen for a long time[/QUOTE]
As far as I recall, they've been as close to saying "It's not happening" as they can without outright saying "It's not happening"
It's a shame, that game looks fucking great. But I'll play it on PS4 if need be.

If it ends up going that way, yeah.
That hour was worth it. I now have the Beta.
Anil's a cool guy.
[QUOTE=LuaChobo;43939027]il probs play it on ps3, it's defo not a system seller
neither is titanfall imo, but im perfectly happy to play this on my now 1 year old pc[/QUOTE]
I can respect that, but It's a system seller to me :v:
I guess its because I'm admittedly a huge Bungie fanboy, and I wanna play the game the best way I can. I have it pre-ordered and [I]I don't even own a PS4 yet! [/I] Should be getting one by the end of the month.
[QUOTE=Skyward;43939017]

Oh, well there's nothing wrong with that I guess.

Thank you so much! Got it <3
[QUOTE=Makol;43939048]Oh, well there's nothing wrong with that I guess.[/QUOTE]
Yeah, I'd like a little more time myself, but it's better than the one-year-long Activision rotation.
You know...
COD by Infinity Ward > COD by Treyarch > COD by Sledgehammer
Given that Respawn is a small company, I hope they can make the most out of the time without sacrificing a lot.
Am I doing this right?
[img]http://puu.sh/6YZ34.jpg[/img]
[QUOTE=LuaChobo;43939056]This is actually a good amount of time for respawn, DICE on the other hand will shit themselves due to having split between battlefield and battlefront[/QUOTE]
I think given the way DICE works, they might as well be two different companies. It's like Bioware. Nearly every Bioware game is pretty much made by a different company, just [I]named [/I]Bioware. There's Bioware Edmonton, Bioware Montreal, Bioware Austin etc.

CoD by Infinity Ward (only those from 4 and under) > CoD by Treyarch > CoD by Infinity Ward (all the current ones) > CoD by Sledgehammer.
Came into the PC beta extremely skeptical.. came out having a blast. My Feb/March/April just got REALLY crowded on PC:
* Thief/Lords of Shadow 2 - Feb 25
* Titanfall - Mar 11
* Elder Scrolls Online - Apr 1
Wasn't the open beta supposed to be out today? Or am I missing something that rhymes with wee.
[QUOTE=LuaChobo;43939056]This is actually a good amount of time for respawn, DICE on the other hand will shit themselves due to having split between battlefield and battlefront
i expect titanfall to be the general favorite from EA for a while, battlefield will continue to sell as it always does but yeah
i really have no idea how people will take battlefront, because no matter how you look at it its basically battlefield with starwars (unless DICE do something amazing with it)[/QUOTE]
Of the three I think I'll only be buying Titanfall to be honest. I bought both BF3 and BF4 to only lose interest in them after the first map packs. Battlefront on the other hand I have no idea but DICE is really going to have to do it justice to get me to buy it.
The only reason I'm sold on Titanfall is that despite just two maps and three game modes it managed to get me to play it for 6~7 hours straight and that hasn't happened since CoD4.
[QUOTE=LuaChobo;43939106]from what i remember, a lot of the non highlight DICE games were made by tiny sub-studios, but the "big dice" is the battlefield dice
i know they will make a battlefront i will enjoy but I doubt it will be spectacular
hell i actually think they could actually make a good singleplayer though, because its fucking starwars, they can do dumb shit and itl be awesome[/QUOTE]
I hope so. I know people are skeptical after BF4, and I can't really blame them. But BF4 was actually really damn fun when it works properly, and the reason for the horrible launch is because they rushed it to be CoD out the door.
I don't think Battlefront will have to compete with CoD, so I imagine it'll have a smoother launch and still be just as fun.
Or maybe I'm just being optimisic, who knows.
So, I checked my email inbox on the 14th and found no beta key. Just checked again an hour ago, and found two beta keys sitting in my spam folder.
Now waiting 9 hours to download the beta :v:

Everyone is praising smart pistol while for me it's 'meh'. A cool weapon but not as great as you jump kick other players in face in cloack or shoot them randomly with AR.
Decided to give a try to Electric Smoke instead of vortex shield...
I think I will stick with it, not only it damages infantry, it also drains Titan's health like crazy, as long as they stay in it!
Premature nuclear ejections are also my secondary favourite things to do! They never expect you to blow up with 25% of remaining health up in their face, as most people eject only when in doomed state.
Even made a video showcasing my true love of electric smoke + nuclear ejection ^^

Just played a few rounds on the PC beta, and was pleasantly surprised. It was a lot of fun, and definitely had me at the edge of my seat.
Anyone still after a Origin Key?
Got a spare one in my spam email so
[QUOTE=LuaChobo;43939167]i never bought bf4 and doubt i will ever buy a battlefield game again
but thats not because i think they are bad, i just really enjoy playing FPS casually, so titanfall is a perfect fit for me
i hate it when people get overly serious about games, which is why i absolutely hate games like cs:go, because its impossible to just have ~fun~ without playing with friends only[/QUOTE]
I don't think I'll be following Battlefield much longer myself. Not because its bad, but because I always loved the smaller matches, and BF's thing is BIG BIG BIIIIG!
I haven't been able to sit down an play a multiplayer game for hours straight since Halo: Reach, and I never really played the Big Team Battle playlist. But since Halo 4 turned out shit, I turned to Battlefield 4 hoping it'd be my new FPS of choice, and I kinda remembered my problem with that series. It's just [I]too big.[/I] You can't coordinate 32 people you meet online, and you feel very insignificant knowing you're just one of 32 dudes. Titanfall's lower player count is just what I like, small enough you can cooperate, and feel like you're playing a role, but not too small. And the grunts make it feel as big as any Battlefield game without sacrificing that.
