Too bad this game is just a cod with something more. It was really fun at the beginning but after 5-6 hours you realize how limited it really is. I tried to discover new ways to play or new strategies but it really is limited. For someone like me that like extremely dynamic and complex games like quake it's not worth 50 euros (maybe 5 euros would make the deal). I was really hoping for something really good! Oh and for sure the game does not suggest team play:v:
Apart from the fact that there will be more equipment/weapons in the game (providing new tactics), the beta is missing a giant part of it that is Campaign Multiplayer. [t]http://cdn.dualshockers.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Titanfall_Normal_07.png[/t] When I went to EB Expo last year, they had Titanfall, and they made us play Campaign Multiplayer. The objective as the Milita was to protect the guy in the wanted poster above, and we won doing that. So, you don't have to worry about teamwork in the non-teamwork focused multiplayer modes because there is one designed just for it.
If there's someone here that prefers "hold" over "toggle" for ironsights, I made a little AutoHotkey script for download here (standalone .exe here, but idk how that interacts with anti-cheat).
No need for that stuff, check the key bindings. There's unassigned "aim" which is the hold aim and "toggle aim" which is the default one. No idea why anyone would want to use toggle aim in a game like this but w/e.
So the beta is open on PC now.
For crouch maybe have it hold down the button and repeat the downpress after every movement imput type thing.
Really what I meant by "I made a script" was "I almost never use ahk, so I stole someone's script for Bioshock Infinite and swapped the variables, but nobody cares so I'll make it short" So err maybe that's possible, but I wouldn't know about it.
I can't help but feel like quad launcher is utterly useless compared to 40mm The rockets are slow, which is cool for prediction shots, but their damage isn't worth it. And you have only 4 in clip. Even with clip upgrade it is just inferior.
I'm sure there will be more content, but the basic mechanics of the game won't change, cheap gameplay!
Cheap, fast action paced gameplay, with new features that leader of the market, Call of Duty, didn't manage to provide for last couple of years. I'm totally fine with that. I don't need every game that I bought to be ARMA. Sometimes I want to run like crazy chicken without head, shot at people flying around me and have some mindless fun.
I'm sure there will be more content, but the basic mechanics of the game won't change, cheap gameplay!
What were you expecting the game to be like? There's nothing wrong with the basic mechanics. It's a fun game, it doesn't matter if it's slightly similar to CoD. Saying the game is only worth 5 Euros because it isn't completely revolutionary despite it being a fun game is stupid. I don't even see how they could make it so it isn't similar to CoD or even what that really means, other than just being a fast paced game. I just see games get compared to CoD a lot and no one says why that's a bad thing. Can someone explain?

It doesn't matter how good you are, if you have a shit team, you still lose and have your evac ship destroyed. There's also more to it, but I don't feel like writing an essay. But Titanfall definitely relies on teamwork.
I'm sure plenty of people have done it before, but I did something about an hour ago on Angel City that made me so feel so bad ass. I was jumping across the roof tops when I saw a pilot below trying to climb up between two (The two just left of the IMC Spawn/A in Hardpoint with the really thin gap between them). I jumped over to the roof of one of the towers and dropped down just as they started a wall run and slid right behind them and kicked them off the wall, while on the wall, and in to the street. Also, I know the Titans (obviously) are a big part of the gameplay, but I use them so rarely. They're fun, but Pilot gameplay is just so frantic and fast paced and dexterous and I just love it.
So I'm gonna try get one of these Beta codes. Right now I'm waiting on chat.
for someone who just came back of holiday how does one into titanfall

I don't think it's a rare event, even if the victory is close.
for someone who just came back of holiday how does one into titanfall
If you've already applied for a beta key then boot up Origin and you'll find it in your game list. If didn't apply before they turned off the application form then you'll probably have to get it added to your account through EA support.
Yeah, just get into EA support chat. I waited about half an hour before I got an adviser but the guy got me into Beta in about 10 seconds after I said friends recommended me the game.
Yeah, just get into EA support chat. I waited about half an hour before I got an adviser but the guy got me into Beta in about 10 seconds after I said friends recommended me the game.
Well, they are currently flooded with requests for Titanfall beta. They most likely know what you are going to ask, as by looking at live chat wait time, you have to wait for 30 - 60 minutes to get into one, where is when there was no Titanfall Beta, the wait time was ~5 minutes. Probably even if you don't ask for it and instead go to them with legit problem, they will add it anyway. You - Hello, I've got a problem, my account has been hacked, can you help me? Him - Sure, gimme details of your account. You - Details. Him - Done, here are new Details and also, because you are such a valuable customer, I've also added Titanfall beta your account! Have fun FRIEND!
So I got it last night, and against my better interests I played through the training before going to bed at ~4 AM. Can't wait to get home. I'm gonna rock me out some stompy mechs. The training was so... satisfying. The controls were easy to learn, but the capabilities are just... endless.
i'm honestly surprised how many rodeo pilots i can kill with the electrical smoke the smoke's not hard to see, i always manage to jump off a titan smokes while i'm rodeoing
i'm honestly surprised how many rodeo pilots i can kill with the electrical smoke the smoke's not hard to see, i always manage to jump off a titan smokes while i'm rodeoing
Best to use it the second you hear them impact the hull. They have to wait for the animation to stop playing to jump off and by then they're already near death from the smoke.

Titanfall have just appeared in my game list, that's cool I guess :)
We lost, a friendly Titan is duelling another while an enemy is whaling on him via rodeo, the two Titans both get low as fuck both doomed, then our Titan dashes to the enemy's. Next thing I know he has the nuclearjection while ripping out the enemy pilot from his flaming carcass and it detonates, killing everyone. Metal as fuck.

They have to wait for the animation to stop playing to jump off and by then they're already near death from the smoke.
I can see them changing that before the game actually comes out though simply because its a bit unreasonable. I mean, most people who are aware of the smoke would jump off the moment they saw it, even if they had just got on and not gotten a chance to even open the core.

You risked jumping onto the titan. Otherwise you could've used an anti-titan weapon.
The execution of doomed titans with the stryder is amazing, you grip them sideways and then your titan squeezes down hard and gibs the pilot.
Hardly. You risked jumping onto the titan. Otherwise you could've used an anti-titan weapon.
Getting killed because you're stuck in an unavoidable animation part of a feature that is heavily advertised and recommended and key to most engagements isn't good design. Maybe if they made it so you don't automatically open up the titan but just jump on and can ride around and open it at will.

Having an unavoidable animation isn't bad game design just because you don't like it.
I don't know why, but everytime the dropship warps away I think of this

Not being locked in to an animation.
This has probably been asked a hundred times in this thread, but does anyone know how to score a beta key?
