An animation that takes a second, the smoke doesn't even hurt for a couple of seconds and it takes time to kill so you have plenty of time to get away.

And the animation actually lasts close to three seconds.
Played my first game this morning. It's not terrible but it's certainly not GOTY material. Might pick it up if it goes on sale or something.
Hows everyone's performance? I have a AMD FX-8300, Geforce GTX 660 and 8GB ram but the performance isn't really great, even on medium settings

It takes like 5 or 6 hitmarkers to kill a healthy pilot.
That's around 3 seconds worth of sitting in a smoke.
I had plenty of rodeoing pilots get away after I pull my smoke.

Geforce 9600 GT, 2GB RAM, lowest settings, 20FPS.

GTX 670, 2500k, 8gb of RAM.
Game stutters a bit at insane textures an all high.
Sometimes it even does at lowest, dunno what's up with that.
I'm currently playing at lowest textures and mix of high/medium other stuff.
It's weird really, it shouldn't do that.
This game runs at rough 40 fps on Fracture with 4xMSAA. But when I turn it off and on again it runs at 60 fps all the time. I mean, what.

The textures seem to be eating up tons of VRAM, it really really really should run on medium on GTX 560 but it just doesn't. Or obv it does, but it stutters a lot. Pretty smooth on low texture resolution.

You can put bigger gifs on gfycat, it compresses them into html5 video without losing any bit of quality

On an AMD R9 280X, i5 4670K, and 8GB RAM here, getting 60fps constantly on high, textures on insane, and AA at 4x MSAA

I just had a great finish to a mission, even though we technically lost. I saved my Titan until the end, so when the evac started, I dropped it and went to defend to dropship. I killed four pilots who went to assault it on foot, took out another Titan, then with two seconds left walked up to the drop and got out, hopping out of the Titan and directly in to the dropship with literally zero time left and made it out with three others.

I think the best I've done is 20 pilot kills, 7 titans and a single death in Attrition.
So satisfying.
Okay, I must admit this game is a bit more fun that I was expecting it to be. Don't know if it's worth the launch price though. I'll wait for the price to drop a bit before considering it.

Don't know if it's been mentioned but any Geforce 2xx cards, you need to disable AA for the textures to load.
