Oh what the hell, why am I suddenly only get amped weapon burn cards, I haven't received a single one that wasn't a gun in a really long time.
Done some amazing things tonight. I got two auto-titan kills with 1 titanfall, as in, my titan dropped right on them while they were in their bubble. Also got a double titan + one pilot kill by kamikazing as a titan with unstable core against cornered enemies. My brother instead sent someone in orbit by punching him in midair as a titan.
I love having my auto-titan follow me around, it's strangely adorable.
And right after I made that post I got like 4 new burn cards of new stuff that I haven't even had before and none are guns after a single round.
i just noticed fracture is actually a moving level on tectonic plates. like look at the buildings in the back ground.
Christ, is there any way to play as the IMC? I want to see what they're like for a change, not to mention they look way cooler than the militia guys. FINALLY after 40+ games, get into a match where it's actually balanced and my team isn't stomping the other team. Have 2 matches where both games end within 10-20 attrition points of each other, no one left everyone was level 14 having an awesome time.. and then i crash.

If you're having a pilot vs pilot battle where you're both sprinting and double jumping and wall running constantly while trying to shoot each other, only to find you got killed by them because they kept you within the giant scope of their screen rather than on their actual crosshair for a total of what i believe is 1.5-2 seconds? maybe even less? It takes the skill out of those fights. I could have incredible aim, but in a close quarters battle like that it's incredibly difficult to hit someone with all of your bullets and take them out, while they can just jump around and have it auto lock and kill you in one go. you can't get more casual and silly than that [editline]18th February 2014[/editline] Imagine the fast paced gameplay of quake 3 arena (which is very similar to the double jumps and wall jumps etc. of titan fall), and then give some players a gun which just auto locks on instead. it diminishes that gameplay entirely

Close quarters is actually the hardest place to fight with the smart pistol because if the enemy jumps you lose your lock and they can kill you with their weapon in less than a second, especially since the aimed rounds of the smart pistol are weaker.

That's all you have to do, hold them in the MASSIVE space that is your screen for 2 seconds and they're dead. Do you seriously think 2 seconds is enough time for anyone to react? I could have incredible aim, but in a close quarters battle like that it's incredibly difficult to hit someone with all of your bullets and take them out, while they can just jump around and have it auto lock and kill you in one go. you can't get more casual and silly than that [editline]18th February 2014[/editline] Imagine the fast paced gameplay of quake 3 arena, and then give some players a gun which just auto locks on instead. it diminishes that gameplay entirely[/QUOTE] well, not exactly this game is nowhere near as fast as q3, and even with the parkour and shit like that movement is very predictable and it's very easy to take someone down rapidly with the smg, shotgun or carbine close quarters is like 2 guys in a room, in which case no one is doing parkour shit unless they want to die instantly, either way you kind of suck if you can't kill someone in 2 seconds with this game's ttk now the smart pistol is pretty potent as just a regular hipfire cqb weapon, but so is the shotgun (one-shot kill) and the smg (especially with scatterfire) so it's hardly like this super gun that can't be beaten (admittedly the carbine isn't as good since it sucks with hipfire, but it makes up for it by having long range viability the smart pistol lacks) there are certainly situations where the gun is 'cheap' but it's not like it's op or anything

It's fast paced, lots of wall jumping, double jumps, mid air dekes, etc. etc. You have to try hard to NOT see similarities in the movement and combat of that with the medium and closed ranged pilot fights in Titanfall

Also, in that video he killed a guy that didn't know he was there, he could have done the exact same thing with a fucking rifle. It's also a fucking primary weapon, why do you seem to expect it to do the same damage as the Hammond?
Will the smart pistol be removed its stupid and breaks the flow of the game kthx

Smart Pistol sucks, it's useless, it's only purpose is PvE. It's outclassed by all primary weapons and auto pistol itself. I don't know who would even consider using it, unless having a terrible aim and relaying on 1 kill per 30 seconds. With a carbine, I'm capable of killing around 3 or 4 people each minute, consistently on all sort of ranges, be it CQB or even long ranges, where DMRs shine. Smart pistol is overhyped by 0,5 K/D players, who tend to whore it like crazy.
