Throughout my play though, i only got killed once by the smart pistol. I dont think its that big of a deal as everyone makes it. But now that everyone is complaining about it, more people are going to use it.

Personally I like my mechs like walking tanks... none of this "dash around like a hyperactive ninja on redbull cocaine" stuff.
In titanfall at least the dashes seem to be more like a large jump left or right so it;s kinda ok... still.
Also why would a Mech need a sword when you have a bigger gun?

I'm surprised people can't agree that a lock-on, anti-infantry weapon isn't really good in any MP FPS. I think regardless they're probably going to tweak the way the pistol works simply because of how contentious a topic it is.

Lock-on time on smart pistol vs players is way too long to make it competitive, it can be annoying on consoles maybe... but on PC, seriously smart pistol is a good PvE weapon, that is as good as Hammond pistol in PvP.

I actually like Titans for the exact opposite reason - instead of clunky slow walking tanks, they are actually pretty agile for their size. Piloting one feels like being fucking Michael Jordan. It's actually goddamn awesome.

What I don't get is that some people like execution animations in their games, stuff like that just breaks down when you introduce netcode and servers and shit. Keep it SP only plz.
I was gonna suggest chest rockets, but then I realized the pilot is in the chest so that's not gonna work well...
The mechs need to figure out what they are on their own. A bunch of people telling them what they should be isn't going to help build them a positive self-image.

way too close to kawaii desu mecha anime for me, it makes little sense when big fuck-off guns are even more efficient even at that range
