That's the hit marker when you're getting shot at dummy.
It's telling you where you're getting shot from.
It was up at other points as well, even when there was no damage.

i want to play so fucking bad, been in a game slump for a long ass time and this has been the only game lately that was actually addicting and fun to play.
[QUOTE=codemaster85;44061321]imho, Americanized mechs (aka big and clunky) are much cooler to me than sleekish looking ones. thats why i love titanfall and games like chromehounds.[/QUOTE]
I agree. The ones in Titanfall just seem more, for the lack of a better term, practical. As in they'd be something a military would manufacture if they were into bipedal robots capable of being piloted by human beings.
eh, in my book, any mech with human style hands and weapons isn't very 'realistic' and the ones in titanfall are pretty impractical, given how little ordinance they carry for their size
and realistically there's no way they could be as agile as they are

It's also a videogame but never mind that.

I've had one for years and it's still perfectly intact.
As much as I love this game and I'm sure the guys at respawn will do an amazing job... not so sure about the not game aspect, what with DLC and EA's track record...
I'm on the wall about a pre-order, I don't want this potential gem to end up sullied and ruined it coud be such a beautiful thing.
Well guys.
12 days.

It's graphene spiked with stem cells super scientifically accurate what do u kno
[editline]27th February 2014[/editline]
jokes aside you might have a point there, also I wonder why they always give mechs human hands but no human feet, just imagine a barefeet titan for fucks sake :v:
I just cancelled my pre-order of the CE. The statue doesn't seem all that impressive and all after I watched the unboxing video.
Going to buy this digitally now, does anyone have a link to one of these online key sellers?
When it comes to aesthetic design of mechs, I really do prefer big and bulky tank/turret styled mechs.
Something like these walkers from Battlefield 2142:

Or Star Wars Imperial AT-ST walker:

Even REX from Metal Gear Solid :

The slow moving mechs are my favourite!
It makes them look like super powerful weapons of destruction, as high weight of ordnance is slowing them down.
However, I really despise generic japanese designs, especially from animes, that looks like more square-edged humanoids.

When they zip around a battle, it makes them look just silly and really weak.
But that may be just my vision, as I said, the slower mech is, the much more deadly it is, in terms of weaponry and overall fear it provides on the battlefield.
Ofcourse that's my opinion.
Titanfall mechs are a bit from both sides.
They are bulky and tanky enough to make up for my vision, however they are also crossing a fine line of "generic anime" mech design, which I hate ;( .
But because they still use tons of typical heavy platings, that makes them look really heavy... they redeem themselves with that ;) .
I would love to save money through mexico Origin but.. I've gotten every EA game as a physical copy and I would love to keep that up so I can smell that new game smell and plus I like to keep it all on a shelf nice to look at.
LESS THEN 2 WEEKS OH GAWD
Honestly I'm not part of the mech cult- but as far as I've seen Titanfall's are the most appealing to me. They do not look sword and shield silly-helmets anime-ish and they don't look stupidly top-heavy like they can be toppled by wind either.
The thing about Japanese mechs is they are meant to represent the character's power. They are an extension of the person so they are designed to look and move like people. Western mechs are seen as weapons and tools and have no bearing on a character's power. That's why in Japanese mecha shows the mechs get bigger as the main character developers, but in Western mech series it's about utilising what you have.
Japanese mecha are supposed to be symbolic, where Western mechs are supposed to appear to be practical. That's also why western mechs look more like walking tanks than giant robo-men.

Power Rangers is still going, and it's as campy and awesome as ever.
I wish my paycheque would arrive soon so I can preorder this for day one.
Not long after watching Pacific Rim I watched Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and I was like 'wow these guys are just zipping about this is not nearly as satisfying as the stompiness of Jaegers'

watch the big O, same stuff (as in big stomping mechs) with piston fist. also crime noire setting, pretty much batman with mechas.
I think what I like about the Titans the most is their movement animations.
I really like the blend of stompy and speed titanfall mechs have - a good blend of both worlds.

Big O is fucking great. Always watch it whenever it comes on.

(eng dub I know how much people hate them)
[editline]28th February 2014[/editline]
The eng dub does get a LOT better as the episodes go on though. The first few episodes are pretty lacking.

gundam is hit or miss depending on which series you watch, most of them are pretty good
also do as others told you, watch big o right the fuck now.
I wish the game would come out so I can decide if it's worth the dosh.
