You can't unless Valve says it's OK.
I spot dude Chell, does Valve say it's okay for us to have that at least?
Chet's EGX Presentation Dude asked "Is HL3 is gonna be in VR?" and Chet said "No"
Guy asked the question again as above, and chet confirmed "no".
/r/halflife is going to have a field day over this
called it. luckily it has only 5 upvotes. goddamnit this is a perfect summary of /r/halflife's reaction to anything. just because he answered a question related to half life 3 does not mean it is in development. he probably answered that question with a no because they might know for sure that half life 3 on vr would be blasphemous no matter what and no matter when.

Seriously though, of course Half-Life 3 isn't going to be a VR game. It's Half-Life. It's a first person shooter where you're constantly moving forward through a huge world, but all VR does is track your movements in a small room. There are only a couple ways you could control a game like that in VR, and none of them are any good: 1: You interact with things using your hands, but walking around in-game is still done via movement keys/a thumbstick instead of walking around in real life, which has its own set of problems that Chet touched on in the video. 2: You spend the whole game in a vehicle of some kind, like that hovercraft game someone made, so that indirectly moving yourself around the world without physically walking anywhere actually makes sense. It's alright, but it isn't really a Half-Life game at that point. 3: The whole game takes place in a single 5 by 5 foot room. Gordon's latest adventure is a whole lot less interesting than everyone thought it would be. Striders are cut from the game entirely because they can't fit in the room.

Fast, Quake-like movement is however an integral part of Half-Life, and default HL2 movement is so fast that it's supposedly nauseating in VR. Combat would have to be overhauled or come with alternating movement types to support both VR and normal play.

I just want everyone to know that Kelly Bailey has made a Music Kit for CS:GO and it sounds wonderful. Half Life vibes for sure.
I just want everyone to know that Kelly Bailey has made a Music Kit for CS:GO and it sounds wonderful. Half Life vibes for sure.
any links to it?
You can't unless Valve says it's OK.
No really how'd you get it
Wow, this is just upsetting. On almost every one of the new music kits you can click on the image of it and get a preview of it EXCEPT BAILEY'S!
http://csgostash.com/music/19/Hazardous-Kelly-Bailey Sounds good!
It actually made me both smile and kinda sad. Sad because its the kind of music I'd expect in HL3 and for the first time in a while I actually want the next Half Life game
http://csgostash.com/music/19/Hazardous-Kelly-Bailey Sounds good!
Glad Kelly Bailey came back to Valve, the games wouldn't be what they are without his awesome soundtracks
http://csgostash.com/music/19/Hazardous-Kelly-Bailey Sounds good!
i need this now
Good god, that music kit is so great. I really missed Bailey's artwork, hearing something new from him revives all those old memories of playing HL for the first time. [editline]25th September 2015[/editline] And this music just reminded me how much I want another HL game. God fucking dammit, Valve, please...!
http://csgostash.com/music/19/Hazardous-Kelly-Bailey Sounds good!
Shit now I want CS:GO just so I can have a game to play to this amazing music
I'm just going to pretend that these are unused tracks from Episode 3. I love Morasky's work on Portal, but Bailey's composition couldn't be any better within the Half Life universe. In addition to the story, I think Bailey's music is the other thing I miss most about Half Life. And thank you to the poster for providing the link!
Cruising in GTA:Online across coast in first person, listening to complete HL2 OST while driving this [t]http://puu.sh/knjV7/ea4152ad94.png[/t] The feels, man ;_;
