I remember seeing that intro in Portal 2... seeing the man move really scared the piss out of me.
It was added to Portal 2 in a follow-up patch after the PTI update iirc.

They're not going to say/do anything because they hate everyone.

Valve cant hear you over the piles of money dota 2, CS:GO and TF2 are making

What good is money when you can't even fulfill the one thing the community that got you where you are have been begging for for years.

For making more money from Dota 2, CS:GO, and TF2.

They haven't yet found a way to monetize Half-Life the same way they did for TF2, CS:GO and DOTA2. :v:

F2P Half-Life 2 Deathmatch with in-app purchase Gravity Gun skins :v:
I think I heard somewhere the reason they haven't said anything is because they don't want everything to get leaked and ruined like in HL2.

Their logic is how can it be leaked if everyone who leaked hl2 is died of age.
in app purchase of alyx customization
like fakefactory with DLC
I... can't think of anything worse than that
I really don't mind the wait. It's not like they owe me anything. I doubt that they're not working on it with the new source engine going on and everything. Probably going to involve a facilitety like in the first one, that or another planet.
Still pretty exicted to see what they came up with.

Fakefactory is worse than Fakefactory.

Don't get my hopes up.
Not again
I checked it and it's actually there

it kinda feels left there on purpose
here comes another wagon of people overhyping themselves over something so minimal
This isn't worth hyping over, it's definitely worth mentioning though. It being used at all in Source 2 development even for something as minimal as a physics testbed makes me slightly hopeful.
Probably just a developer in-joke at this point.

Usually I'd agree with you but In this context I don't think that makes sense.
you must be dumb if you think they arent working on hl3.
plus the person that posted it on neogaf is the same person that leaked source 2 presentation.
edit: actually lemme tell you how he got access to the slides and prove that leaked directory image is real because people have been doubting since it leaked.
this ekim guy tried to get onto companys internal vpn. turns out it was open to everyone without any security. same with their p4 which you could login as a guest with no password. literally everything valve has done was there and open to everyone. he had access to the p4 for few days and constantly teased stuff (like l4d3 npcs and such). he probably knows lots of stuff but cant talk because valve.
here is the raw, uncut version of the image i posted here

you cant access the vpn anymore so dont try.
habbenbing
this reminds me of that cave johnson update in hl2
God damnit valve it's like seeing someone who looks like your dead wife or something walk by and you just have a mini heart attack.

Can confirm this, I'm not sure about his name because my memory is terrible but the rest of that post is true. We confirmed the issue as well when it happened. The P4 screenshot was legit at the time (Jan 2014) and was also publicly proven as legit in August last year when it turned out the appid mentioned in the screenshot belongs to the Dota 2 Source 2 UGC/SDK app.
I think hl3 relates to how every game on Source 2007 (TF2, CSS, HL2,HL2EP2) runs with hl2.exe, with hl3 being for Source 2

Crazy Buttocks on a Train, aka CBOAT was the one to leak the slides.
That's... All the input I have. :p

I'm realitivly positive this is the case. Anyone who has ever dealt with any sort of digital project, weather it be a program or a game or a series of excel sheets, knows that often times what you name your files isn't actually what the files really are. This isn't being lazy, this is just something like a 'Telephone effect' where by the reuse and abandonment of individual aspects combined with a fluctuating scope of the project can lead to "dumbCode.h" being the file that all of your other code references, making it impractical to rename it.
Also: Yall need to chill when it comes to Half Life 3. Like I'm cool with any single player Valve game getting made, but I'm getting the vibe that if you guys don't get your arbitrarily sequel next this thread is going filled with butthurt.

modern IDEs can refactor filenames

He was the one who made the thread, but he got the slides from ekim.
