Since Calhoun is in HL2, I'd say at least Blue Shift is canon
His name isn't given in Blue shift though, it just says "B. Calhoun" and none of the NPCs call you Barney. though HL2 does make mention of the relay you fix/setup in Blue Shift.

He's Barney. Laidlaw was also the one to originally name him, so they knew from the beginning that they were carrying over Barney Calhoun from Blue Shift to Half-Life 2.
Marc personally doesn't consider Blue Shift Barney to be HL2 Barney. But if everyone else is going with it that is fine. http://combineoverwiki.net/wiki/References:Marc_Laidlaw_emails#On_Barney_Calhoun.2C_Half-Life:_Blue_Shift_and_expansion_involvement "It was a deliberate decision to have Gearbox never call him Barney in Blue Shift" I guess someone at Valve changed their mind afterwords. Or someone goofed [editline]12th January 2016[/editline] I'm just saying, it sounds like the original intent was not to have them as the same character, but that changed and they are now.
Blue Shift is canon and by extension so is Decay (neither of these have issues fitting into the canon, and are linked together by Rosenberg - even if the Calhoun is different the games themselves are perfectly suitable as entries to the series). Opposing Force is on the same boat as Portal 2. I remember jack shit about Xen Attacks (the Decay bonus mission) so I can't speak for that.

Portal 2 is Canon.
What do you mean by "Same boat as portal 2"? Portal 2 is Canon.
Portal 2 is far and away 'divorced' from everything that happened in Half-Life to the point that beyond Black Mesa and the Borealis gag, it might as well be its own thing. Not to mention that I remember Laidlaw once saying that they don't use the term of canon, not properly anyway. Since there's only Portal and the expansions, it's not like there's some giant EU or other stuff to the continuity and if Valve wants to use things or make things up as they go they'll just do as they please.
I think it's obvious that while they'd like them set in the same universe they don't want to deal with those inter-game implications, at least for Portal. In fact it actually feels like they regret the decision of them being in the same universe but it's too late to back out now. Meanwhile Op4 was just developed by a third-party and took a bunch of liberties. Op4 and P2 aren't even kind of in the same boat.

That was the reason they set portal 2 hundreds of years later, so no matter what happens in the next half-life game, it won't be affected by Portal 2 and vice versa. The backstory and things featured in the game are still relevant and it all takes place in the same universe, though. It's not clear if the Borealis dock in Portal 2 is actually just an easter egg or if it's canon, anyway. It's Aperture Science, an underground dry-dock for a teleporting ship doesn't seem that implausible.
It's been said countless times, OP4 and Blue Shift are canon unless contradicted by the main series' plot. End of story.
has half life not thought you anything??
At least Sven Co-op is beating compared to HL
So, is there a list somewhere what they have added new?
What do you mean by "Same boat as portal 2"? Portal 2 is Canon.
Bortal.

Guess what? Yep, Wilson Chronicles is available on Steam now. Upd: It's pretty ugly though.
God I hope they fixed all the issues I had with it. When FDA asked me to play the Beta I was sourly disappointed by so much. It was also missing an ending, which is usually not the case in a Beta, and that leaves me worried because I do see any "Early Access" banners or anything here, but I feel like the game will still be largely unfinished. Edit: Nevermind, I just saw the ModDB post, it's EA, of course.
Looks like Prospekt is also gonna be releasing soon. http://store.steampowered.com/app/399120

So, we took the music for Genetic Variation I showed earlier and improved it drastically. I can assure you it doesn't sound portal anymore. This is version 14, so we're nearly done with it. Tell us how it sounds.

Short version is that it could do with softer and larger sections.
Looks like Prospekt is also gonna be releasing soon. http://store.steampowered.com/app/399120
Looks unbelievably mediocre, honestly.
Wilson Chronicles is hilariously bad at the start of the mod, the mapping is horrible and the events are awful, but as the mod progresses you can see the mappers start to get better at their job, and the mapping becomes semi-interesting (although you still get lost every 5 seconds and there are jumpscares and glitches around every corner). There is so much stolen content, I mean you can't walk 5 metres without seeing a bin from Black Mesa or a prop from some random Source mod. Also all the weapon animations are stolen (They're the ones used in the HL2 Cinematic mod) and the sound design is awful, I swear they play a single sound byte of computers beeping (which again, I recognise from somewhere else) throughout the entire mod. Overall, I'd suggest trying it, although don't blame me when you see Littlebigplanet's Sackboy sitting in a bath. (I didn't mean for this to turn into a review, whoops)
Are they still using that AC/DC song? I last played a year ago but I doubt it's been changed.
It crashed on me a good 5 minutes in. [sp] after getting in the car [/sp]
