Well, considering that there is clear direction for gravity, there should be some kind of planet deep below, maybe a gas giant, which would explain why it's so cloudy.
I'm less baffled by the gravity, which could just be caused by high speed, & am more impressed by the perfectly breathable atmosphere.
Edit: Ah shit, I just noticed RikohZX's post.
But if Xen has directional gravity, why aren't the islands bound by it? Are they constantly being propelled upwards?
i dont think xen is actually meant to have a gravitational pull down to the bottom of the skybox, i have a feeling that was a concession made for gameplay reasons, and that the implication is physics work wonky in that dimension.
Just imagining Xen with something like zero gravity is both hilarious and awful.
It's literally a place between dimensions and your trying to make sense of it. It's not meant to make any sense
I like how Ross Scott describes it

I can visualize Gordon trying to jump off that first platform and just floating away. :v:

Making sense of senseless things is fun.
I just got the Steam Controller and wanted to replay Portal 2 with it, but the camera doesn't work?
I'm able to navigate through menues with the right trackpad but I can't move the camera.

Try to reconnect it while in the game.

Thanks, it worked! But I still can't seem to use custom profiles. I wanted to try out the highest rated one that pops up but when I choose it, nothing works anymore. Not even navigating through the ingame menu (big picture nav still works)
MrBrightside is streaming while animating at the moment.

holy shit those are loud as hell
Any idea on why he has to reanimate these weapons every other week?

They sound really generic too. They're too similar to each other.
EDIT:
In my opinion.

I don't know if some people remember the mod Residual Life (from korean team Radiation studio) in 2012, but v1.4 was released a few days ago, but this was not announced on the tracker.
Anyway, the mod is now 99% complete, 1.0 finished with an anticlimax (abrupt ending while walking into a tunnel), now it has changed and it became really huge, you have 2 ways/routes to finish the mod, not unlike Sweet HL. The new map's are cool (you'll see some HUGE tanks where you can easily lose yourself) and with some beautiful designs.
1.5 will be the final version.
When I played Sweet Half life I got a boring ending. Isnt there one where you go on that alien ship or something?

Yes, there is. You have to find a way to open up the smaller alien ship in the area right before the first Gonarch fight.
A word of warning, the Alien Ship route's final boss is fucking bullshit with its attack patterns, health, and arena design.

Yep. After the fight with Gonarch in the outside portion of the hangar area with flying saucers, go back inside the hangar instead of through the sewer/drainage pipe. Go to the third saucer and look for a cube with squiggly textures on it sitting on a pedestal type thing. Use it and the cube should fly to the saucer. Now go back to the place where the grey alien specimens broke out (where you activated the ghost cube to active the first saucer. This area is literally right next to the 3rd saucer so you cannot miss it). There should be a new ghost cube suspended where the previous one used to be. Use it or otherwise interact with it (apparently if you're using a steam patch with SHL you might encounter an issue where explosives are needed to activate the new ghost cube). The new ghost cube will float to the 3rd saucer, which then opens up the saucer, you go inside and some spiffy scripted sequences play out. Then its time to kick grey alien ass.
Actually managed to find a video of this in case my alcohol fulled description did not explain it properly enough. Although the guy spends like 2 minutes wandering around after activating the squiggly cube (jump to the 5:20 mark if the video doesn't automatically).

Fair warning, as eatdembeanz stated the final boss on the alien ship is all manner of bullshit. Words could never hope to describe the level of bullshit that boss manages to reach. The Greys are already annoying enough (being one of the only GldSrc enemies that can shoot AND move at the same time) but that boss... indescribable bullshit. Even the bizarre, insta-kill, scenery destroying, Xen boss is better.
Well, aleast that boss doesn't spam edgy telekinetic messages like the Xen boss does.

I remember that mod. I loved the map designs so much I tried to recreate it in Garry's Mod using blocks and props from Black Mesa. I'd love to see what that would look like remade in the source engine. Just the maps themselves, let alone the entire mod.
Thinking back, How and why did the Black Mesa Warehouse Manager get into that kinda shit?

Wrong place at the wrong time for the most part.
I used to love that mod as a kid, but when you're young you don't really care much about the actual assets (like the anime and stuff). It all looked normal to me.
Today when I look back, that mod is a cesspool of cringe. Fortunately the gameplay is good enough to overcome all that stuff.
Don't get me started on "friends like us" though. Same thing except x10.
Point of View was awesome. I played a few interesting multiplayer mods, but I never played them online, so I just ran around exploring the maps and shooting the different weapons.

Don't you mean Peaces Like Us?
it's done by a japanese guy, what did you expect about the anime stuff?

Point of View and Azure Sheep are pretty sweet mods, I also love how they cross over into each other.

what a stupid stereotype
I expect a half-life game, not a TV series.
