Can you just copy and paste the models/textures from HL2?
They use different formats.

-noassert -retail -vrperftest -autofidelity +map vr_aperture_main -novr -fullscreen -height xxxx -width xxxx
Put this into your 'set launch options...' box, replace xxxx with your screen's height and width respectively.

It's in the Tools section, you can find it under the Library menu.
Thank you very much. It seems the demo doesn't have sound and you can't change the graphical options for it right?

So all those videos were made in source? [editline]22nd February 2016[/editline]
They use different formats.
Ah ok

Did you noclip? Als the only working controls are walking and jumping, no crouching. Is there a command to zoom on such details? [editline]22nd February 2016[/editline]
huh that somehow doesnt surprise me much glad to see vertex lighting still hasnt changed since source 1

Holy shit.. It actually kind of works. I may just be one of the first Source 2 mappers, for FPS that is. :v: I tested colors, shapes, buttons, rotating doors, and rotating brushes. I can't seem to get lighting to work however, so I had to use "mat_fullbright 1"
It is Source Engine 2.0 right? How did you get in that editor?
How did you get such screens? Did you noclip? Als the only working controls are walking and jumping, no crouching. Is there a command to zoom on such details?
one can access the developer console with the tilde key (on English QWERTY keyboard layouts) and the commands you need to enable noclipping are the same as in Source 1 ("sv_cheats" and "noclip")
So one of the QR codes links to a site that's hosting malware, GG Volvo.
Maybe the QR codes did nothing and someone snapped up the image link or something. i dunno how QR codes work.
I get an invalid link when trying to install the portal 2 demo. Oh firefox fixed the link.
I get an invalid link when trying to install the portal 2 demo.
Paste this steam://install/323910 in your browsers navigation. You can also launch Steam with the -dev option, go to the console and type install 323910.

How did he try such maps : https://steamdb.info/blog/mining-the-aperture-robot-repair-vr-demo/ ?

We however managed to get our hands on an older version of the demo and shared these files with our friends over at ValveTime, so be sure to check out their coverage too."
i got a question, does the demo comes with hammer or you need to use CYKA 2 SDK to tinker with this
[t]http://i.imgur.com/hJAL9Du.png[/t] This was found in the files of the demo. Oh lord.
Wait, really? I don't see it on the SteamDB / ValveTime posts. Wasn't there controversy about this image some time ago? edit: Yup it's there on the steamdb post
Wait, really? I don't see it on the SteamDB / ValveTime posts.
Wait, really? I don't see it on the SteamDB / ValveTime posts
The image no, but they say they found the model in the files and its the same as the old one, where i got the picture from. [editline]22nd February 2016[/editline] What he said.

I did ctrl+f for "Dog", forgot how it's stylized. Cool that it's legit
The image no, but they say they found the model in the files and its the same as the old one, where i got the picture from. [editline]22nd February 2016[/editline] What he said.
Yeah, turns out we don't know enough about the S2 Reborn SDK to get the model working. We tried but failed pretty hard. [thumb]http://marlamin.com/u/dogemodel.png[/thumb] This is as far as I ever got. Old model on the left, new one on the right. You can see the texture in this image which is clearly the same as the one on the "leaked" image.
So, that means we've seen the first official model from Half-Life 3 then? Cool. [editline]22nd February 2016[/editline]
i wonder how it's even possible valve accidentally releases all of that content from their other projects alongside this
Nobody bothers to remove shit. [editline]22nd February 2016[/editline] This happens all the time with their games. They leave SO MUCH in their files, its ridiculous. Not that anyone minds of course.
i wonder how it's even possible valve accidentally releases all of that content from their other projects alongside this do they not bother or something to check what's left in there when they package it and put it on steam?
I think this was used as a testing/development place for their VR experiments/content. Some of the stuff is very clearly VR oriented. At the time this was pushed to Steam the demo was only available to select developers that had a Vive DK1. They took this content out a few months ago before shipping it to the masses.
So, that means we've seen the first official model from Half-Life 3 then? Cool.
Not exactly, nowhere is HL3 mentioned in the model, it's just some work by one of the artists. During the original leak it was mentioned that there was D0g figurine in the workings which this might be the inspiration/base model for.

(seeing as you got as far as it loading inside the model editor)
You can't drop the mesh into a map and export as fbx from the Reborn SDK? Needless to say I gave up pretty quickly. People that know their shit are now working on this and there will probably be an image floating around soonish.
Goddamn it. It would've been cool if Dog made a cameo in that robot repair demo.
Nobody bothers to remove shit. [editline]22nd February 2016[/editline] This happens all the time with their games. They leave SO MUCH in their files, its ridiculous. Not that anyone minds of course.
No need to vent your anger about Valve here, every single developer leaves some old data in their games. You wouldn't believe how much Rockstar Games left in GTA San Andreas and their recent GTA's. I would know, I was one of the biggest data miners of that time. Overkill does it too with Payday 2, huge amount of beta stuff, removed or to be released. It happens to everyone.
an update just occured for it
