I too, started replaying HL2 because of the Update. This has probably been discussed in the past, but in Route Kanal when you drop into the container with BoxCar Joe and the Vortigaunt who charges your suit, at the precise moment you enter the container, the GMan is briefly visible on the TV screen. [t]http://i.imgur.com/1dCWFRw.jpg[/t] Here's something we haven't had in a long time: A GMan theory. Before you leave, the Vort tells you "We serve the same mystery." Now I don't remember if this is one of the canned lines a Vort might say to you (The All Knowing Vort says this too, I think), but it got a few gears rolling in my head. It forever boggled my mind that no one in HL2's supporting cast is like "Holy balls Gordon motherfucking Freeman is still alive after going to fucking Xen! How did you even get here in City 17 holy shit you haven't even aged how is this possible" but they're more like "Oh look who I found at the trainstation today! Sup Gordon let's go to Eli's Lab and shoot the shit" I know that "yadda yadda it's a videogame" but hear me out. Everyone knows that in the Dark Energy chapter Breen tells Gordon that his "contract" is "open to the highest bidder"? We now know from the Episodes that both Eli and the Vorts know about the GMan's existence and abilities. It seems like it's possible that they contracted Gordon through the GMan to demolish the Combine. Perhaps, after seeing what Gordon did to the Combine, they decided "fuck it we're keeping him" and tried to cross the GMan in Ep1, which resulted in Eli's death in Ep2.
This scene that you drop in on is definitely the Vortigaunts finalizing their deal with G-Man for Gordon's services, the reason almost everybody never caught on to this the first time is simply because the TV screen is pointing towards the player when it should be pointing towards the Vort, and this wasn't fixed until HL2 Update.
People like this don't deserve to have an internet connection.
you can't blame him though. even though it's Chet's personal account and just him tweeting stuff, people who want Half-Life 3 are getting frustrated with Valve pretending Half-Life ended with Episode Two ( we haven't heard ANYTHING about Half-Life 3, and you can't even ask them about Half-Life 3 ). so instead of being rude to Valve employees online, we should go harass them in their HQ at Seattle :v:

All they got was to meet Gabe and play Dota.

Not sure if this is an oversight or not. AR2 does the same damage in NPC hands as SMG1. Player allies have the same accuracy with AR2 as with SMG1. AR2 has slower rate of fire and smaller clip size. This means that rebels are effectively gimping themselves by picking up AR2. :v:
that was pretty fucking good dude i wanna see what else you could do with hl2-themed stuff
Thanks man, I appreciate it! :) Trust me, I intend to do a lot more with Half-Life. Got a bunch of ideas floating around. Imho, there's not enough HL2 SFM content out there when there really should be.
Source 2 and Half-Life... Is this the time when Gabe N says those great 4 words? Do you think Half-Life 3 will be announced at E3 this year? Well in my opinon they HAVE to. They always use a great Half-Life game for there AMAZING new engine! GoldSrc had Half-Life, Source had Half-Life 2, Source 2 will have Half-Life 3? Tell me what you think!

Perhaps, after seeing what Gordon did to the Combine, they decided "fuck it we're keeping him" and tried to cross the GMan in Ep1, which resulted in Eli's death in Ep2. -- As an afterthought, when the Episodes were originally announced Valve said that the GMan would play a pivotal role in the development of the plot. Marc Laidlaw said in one of his mail replies some time ago that they had started writing a draft for the episodes in very early 2005. This means that whatever they intended to do with the story, it was well decided before Ep1 went gold. Which pretty much verifies that they didn't write themselves into a corner with Ep3, but decided to go a little larger instead.
I've got this theory where G-MAN is apart of the combine, one thing that supports this theory is that the Combine are a DIMENSIONAL EMPIRE and that Earth is a mear grain of there empire. And that Gordon and Alyx will be converted to Combine Soldiers. G-MAN is proabely a member of a sub-council which watches over a dimenson, looking for beings that are worthy of joining the Combine. And all these sub-councils are apart of a bigger council called "The Overwatchers.". THE END
Hey guys. Dunno if you all would care, but I made an HL2 themed SFM video if you wanna take a look. It uses a lot of dialogue that was cut from Episode One's Stalker Train scene. I found it interesting that some of these were cut - but then again I can understand it. Alyx was supposed to be a very, very strong character and these lines were a bit too emotional for her. Keeping her as stern as possible made her break down at the end of Episode Two much, much more heartbreaking. Anyway, enjoy maybe. :3
Well done! I love it! :)

It even was in the same studio as the breencasts. [editline]8th April 2015[/editline]
Hey guys. I have a personal problem with that model of Gordon (I'm a fan of this [1] and this [2], they're not HD but definitely not looking like a 45 yo man) but you did good in animating/lighting/lipsyncing.
Then again, it might have been a commercial for fancy blue suits. It even was in the same studio as the breencasts.
The citizen outfits are actually mass produced G-Man suits.

L4D3 seems like an obvious choice. L4D games have gameplay that is both solid and has room for improvements, story isn't that important, you really need 4 characters with funny lines and finally you can easily stick cosmetics and microtransactions in. But we know jack shit. It wouldn't surprise me if they just released Source 2 for use. Everyone expects game coming out with the engine. Source 2 is big news in itself in context of Valve, don't get your hopes up.

That's why they scream at you.

(edit:whoops lol) The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world. Basically, they chose to release Gordon on the Red Letter Day, when Kliener was ready to use his teleport.
I finally got NPC-driven APCs to work, not sure why I was struggling with them in the first place. Is it just me, or do APCs only damage the player? I've had one shoot rockets nonstop at a single citizen, and the citizen just seems to shrug them off as if he's Superman.
by adding 100% more realism and next gen 4096k res textures
no seriosly, like, how is this possible technically to pull off even if you use a wrong shader in VMT file, as long as it have $compilewater this shouldn't happen the only way I can think of straight off my head is if he put bullet decals with hammer there, but I guess OfficerLamarr made those himself with a gun

Speaking of the toxic water, I made a new texture animation for it a while back based off of files I found in Portal 1, so now it looks alot more like actual water contaminated with disgusting material. I remember there being something bugged with the custom folder for Update, would I need to fix something so I can use this with it?
