I like how she holds the replica correctly, most people hold those wrong. [sp]Im still bothered by the portalgun shooting orange portals, its the Coop version but oh well, that was the only replica they got i guess.[/sp]
wut the orange portal is the regular gun, the co-op gun is the yellow/red portals.
wut the orange portal is the regular gun, the co-op gun is the yellow/red portals.
No, there's 2 Coop portalguns, the Atlas one (used in the video, shoots 2 blue portals) and the Pbody one (yellow/red) The normal PortalGun has no stripes (that means, no coop version). Oh, i see where i screwed up, wrote that just after i woke up, not a good idea i guess.
I've been working on a small map where you have a top down view of Combine Soldiers and you can use buttons to tell them what to do. (for example you have a door, you can choose for them to open it and sneak in, open it and throw a grenade inside, or blow the door open and storm inside) The current map is still just a proof of concept, and I'd like to get some feedback on the idea of such a map first before I go any further.

Can somebody link me to the expected/confirmed Source 2 features list? It was made by an FPer. [editline]16th July 2015[/editline] Also have there been any news since the dota part 2 update?
Well would you look at what ValveTime uploaded: cool videos
I wish Valve would release this to the public in one form or another, I feel like the video doesn't do the amount of detail justice (I like glados's eye effect)
I still can't understand why GlaDOS "eye" is offset to the left.
I wish Valve would release this to the public in one form or another, I feel like the video doesn't do the amount of detail justice (I like glados's eye effect)
they will, come december
I still can't understand why GlaDOS "eye" is offset to the left.
Maybe she did something to her face? Do you like it? I do.
I always found the absence of bodies to be much more creepy then any amount of bodies could be
Well would you look at what ValveTime uploaded:
Something about the way ATLAS moves and how he gets shut down and taken apart makes the robots seem a bit more creepy than they were in Portal 2.
i dont get that design either, but the asymmetry is nice i suppose [t]http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/video-game-championship-wrestling/images/0/0c/Glados_promo.png/revision/latest?cb=20150107004701[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/hkg6ems.jpg[/t] [editline]18th July 2015[/editline] also i fuckin knew it all those offices in aperture are just as modular as the test chambers how else could she have hid the bodies unless literally all aperture tech and materials somehow can last up to 4k degrees kelvin
Either that, or she deliberately crafted the room you're in. :v: Mind you that the bts sections are mostly in actual structures when you see them yourself.
I still can't understand why GlaDOS "eye" is offset to the left.
I think her eye is built to resemble a security camera, which are typically portrayed similarly with a blinking red light, given her perverse authority and monitoring over the facility Come to think of it, a rogue all-powerful security camera is a pretty great way to describe glados
Also, is that Unity ico?
Also, is that Unity ico?
It's for the other demos from a 36-hour game contest. It's there because the Vive uses something called a Playlist, which displays various demos in sequence.
Also, is that Unity ico?
Probably. The config tool is using Unity. A lot of other demos are too. Like, the majority of the GDC demos are using Unity. Only Aperture is running on Source 2.
After some source modding pause, I've tried to recreate VR GlaDOS. I guess for frist version it looks ok (a bit fast animation + gif made it even faster).

Actually Portal 1 bts stuff was more interesting than Portal 2's bts stuff to me. It felt very cramped up and more unreachable to evil AI trying to kill you and in Portal 2 you have catwalks over the abyss and space on top of you with walls molding to whatever the AI needs.

Like you're just out of her reach. Portal 2 kinda makes up for that with the old Aperture areas, but it's not nearly the same.

One felt like playing hide and seek with a monster, her voice echoing from a test chamber "Hello? I know you're there." The next felt like running down the hallway from the Hulk, where no matter where you turned, they were able to just come through and get you (less brutish and more "I control the facility" type deal).
I wonder if Valve will add full vr + motion tracking support to their older games
I wonder if Valve will add full vr + motion tracking support to their older games
And break them even further in the process.
Imagine Sven-Coop with VR
Imagine Sven-Coop with VR
I don't think GoldSource will support VR...
Imagine Sven-Coop with VR
I don't think GoldSource will support VR...
They actually got the code or some shit for GS the SC team.
Remember that HL2 mod called ICE that someone posted about a year ago? Well it got updated recently. Somehow the creator made it looks worse. :suicide:
