If you saw high-res photos of more areas, it looks a lot more like actual HL2 mapping.

Seems like the area from the top right prototype Glados fight made it into the final game as the tall chamber with multiple turrets and 4 pillars.
Does anyone here remember Excite mod? Would be really cool if they made a new Portal game with that style of gameplay. shooting rockets through portals at people was really really fun to say the least.

I will always have faith that HL3 will come out. Fuck if Valve said "We will never make HL3" I would say the odds are high that someone else will.
Watch, 10 years from now Microsoft is going to buy Valve just like Valve bought out Sierra and they will make HL3 and everyone will shit themselves in hatejoy.

Decided to play an old ver of HL2VR since i own the hydra.
After an hour of configurating and random fixing, i managed to play it, its damn fun but my wrists hurt.
I may replay the entire game with it.

All I'm seeing here is them looking at [I]an actual upper employee's[/I] response and going "Nah, let's stick with our unconfirmed anonymous source".
(And i say upper because I feel Marc probably keeps a bit more tabs on the current workings at Valve than most other employees)

Every video from the Know and also Funhaus has a clickbait title. Most of the time there is liberal use of CAPS LOCK and much more clickbaity wording. I don't blame them for doing what gets views.

Last time I checked Smod, at least the non tactical one worked by doing the gameinfo fix on it, as for the Tactical one, gameinfo fix and I think extracting the CS:S Models and Texutres makes it playable again without any/much errors

Or install SMOD Standalone and make it work within it, problem solved.
I applied the gameinfo fix that you can find at the [URL="http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1289845"]steam forums[/URL] to Smod Tactical, and it functions perfectly, I even made a short video on the motel map, theres a couple errors due to not extracting the CSS content. Normal Smod should work straight out of the box when you apply the gameinfo patch to it, and if theres some weird stuff with npcs where scripted sequences dont play, extracting the "scenes" folder usually fixes it.
Does anyone have a fix for Smod 2? It's a lackluster version of Smod for Episode Two that wasn't fully developed. Of course steampipe broke it and I couldn't find a fix anywhere, editing gameinfo helped but it only runs the mod without any new features, a la default EP2.
