Does anyone remeber the particle benchmark from before Episode 2 came out. Did we ever figure out what the Main Menu background was a blurred image of? Was it a background map from Ep2?

It was "recently" discovered with the HL2 games being carried over Nvidia Shield.

I remember very well one stupid barnacle bug. In office complex, you know the part with the barnacles with their super tongue breaking the ceiling? well, they dont even break the ceiling to catch you, they magically trespass their tongue throught the ceiling and catch you. Its amusing when you let a scientist being catched by a barnacle in that part, it can happen two things: 1- The scientist get caught, and start going up but he touch the ceiling and the barnacle drop him (i didn't know this can happen), but as soon as the scientist touch the ground, the barnacle catch him again, and the same thing happens over and over and over.... 2- Same thing as the first, but now the scientist somehow can move before the barnacle catch him, so he's safe now, but you will notice that the barnacle's tongue (wich now you can see) is acting strange... if you break the ceiling by shooting it, you will see the barnacle doing the animation when he's getting the prey up, but he doens't have any prey and the tongue isn't going up, he's just stuck... poor fella...

its probably not hl3 mostly because that gui is just generic QT gui with a standard dark skin and nothing special and the map is nowhere near being source cause a. the missing texture is something placeholder we've never seen and b. the fov on that camera isn't like source 2's hammer view at all and c. because valve would never go outside their walls to work on something other than voice acting and has no use for recording in such a big place and d. these [QUOTE=Marlamin;48654052]Merle is at the Naughty Dog mo-cap lab. Random titbit of information (and probably extra late) but Dandridge did the voice for a main character in The Chinese Room's Everybody's Gone to the Rapture. I was surprised when I'd completed the game and saw her name in the credits, I hadn't recognised her.

A half-life made my pretty much any developer other than Valve would be pretty fucking terrible. Not because they're not as a good as Valve, I just don't think they would give the same respect to Half-Life relationship between its gameplay and story. [editline]13th September 2015[/editline] I mean like a proper Half-Life sequel, a spin off like they've done in the past would be fine with the right developer.
I just want a competent end to the story arc. I don't trust anyone but Valve/Laidlaw to have it.
