Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel did flop. Also Battleborn (though not Borderlands) was also a massive flop. Yet Gearbox moved into a bigger studio that was built specifically for them [I]and[/I] they've opened a second studio in Quebec. I don't think flops are going to cut it.

Well anyways, with it releasing on October 11th (for whatever reason) I'd say go get Shadow Warrior 2 instead, which releases on the 13th.

I haven't seen a game get threatened with anything regarding the red cross since, well, the 90's.
I've seen plenty of games from the past 10 years using red crosses with no problemo.
So basically, they removed an already existing, perfectly serviceable cheap version of Duke Nukem 3D from the stores, just to put a new "remastered" version with massive audio discrepancies and an additional campaign they could have just patched into Megaton Edition.
Well they can go fuck themselves. I'm glad I bought the Megaton Edition when it was still available.

The Wolf3D and Doom 1 and 2 re-releases in the 2000s censored them as well.
GTA4 uses Green Crosses. Don't recall what GTA5 uses if anything.

I don't recall if it its a trademark/Copyright issue, but the Red Cross has asked developers of violent games not to use the red cross in their games.
So Gearbox spent all this fucking time making a single new episode for Duke 3D, just so they could re-release it with lifeless VA and what's seemingly a far worse port?
