This game is unbelievable.[/QUOTE] That one fight the stream footage from Lazarus Labs showed, was one of the few times I didn't have severe stutters or framedrops the whole game. What resulted was getting into the zone so hard that almost none of my movements were wasted as I jumped about, zoomed forth, eviscerated Imps from across the room with Seek & Destroy II, and delivered a precision bolt payload into a Mancubus' skull. If I could have a 60 FPS consistency, this campaign's fights would be a fucking bliss. I don't even mind the arena-esque setup

This game is unbelievable.[/QUOTE] I have to agree, I've never had this kind of intense adrenaline rush during a singleplayer fps. It's absolutely intense and really a joy to play.

It's something you absolutely should not need to do either.
DOOM made me actually laugh manically during my first few chainsaw kills, like I'm probably a serial killer in the making right now

But seriously, unless you're given a reason to otherwise, Doom as a whole expects you to be aggressive and kill everything, even the mooks inbetween major fights. I had to fall back to a Plasma Gun secret on Bloodshot's E1M1 because he put two Hellknights at the end yet not enough ammo to keep up the fighting pace with them, but otherwise it shouldn't be unexpected to kill all the demons even in Snapmap unless there's a gimmick attached.

Soooo does Zdoom detect wads automatic if you have Ultimate doom, final doom, and doom 2 on steam, because I don't even have those wads in the folder and its still finding them... Also holding shift doesn't bring up the wads I want to use if I load a pk3 file... And it also turned the Doom data file I had in there into a Half-Life 1 Texture Package... What in the fuck is going on?
I'd recommend you use [url=http://zdoom.org/wiki/ZDL]ZDL[/url] so you can manually edit your IWAD files and launch mods easily.
Holy shit i just found a cool glitch, if you let go of the alt fire while locking with the rocket launcher and rapid click primary it'll launch 3 regular size missiles in rapid succession

Just beat doom 4 on nightmare, what a fucking game. Also the UAC mission skybox reminds me so much of the end of level map/you are here screen from doom 1

So I'm stuck on the Player Volume Blocker Snapmap Puzzle thingy. I know how to get the green flag by changing race to Demon but I can't get the door to open. The lockdown ends when the player spends currency at the panel but I can't [I]get[/I] to the panel because the door's blocked. The only things they give you are a player proxy and a player blocking volume, which I assumed was to use as a platform to grab the currency, but I can't do that because I'm stuck behind a door. Any ideas?
Trying to play a fan named wad/expansion pack? but i also want to play brutel doom at the same time on gzdoom but i can only drag one or the other how do i fix this?

Alternatively use ZDL as many people recommend.

also, no one has been able to get the doomguys helmet off have they? we all know they modeled his face under the helmet, but does anyone know what he looks like?
I know it would've been impossible to do but I think it would've been really cool if there was a throwback easter egg to finding Wolfenstein in DOOM 2 where you'd warp into a brief shootout from The New Order and have Doomguy glorkilling nazis
Well, if current trends have it, the next Doom game is gonna come out two gens after this one and there's gonna be no reason to continue from any cliffhanger that people forgot and it's gonna be called DOOM again god fucking damn it

Just open it, go to your ZDoom folder and write "Zdoom -file X.wad Y.wad ..." It's completely unnecessary to use a launcher, do clunky drag-and-dropping, or even edit your ini files (seriously?). If you want to repeatedly launch the same wads, make a shortcut using the same parameters.
