Go fuck yourself, Randy.
It doesn't even have the fucking expansions.
but making a shitty version of eDuke is hard guys dont think about that "no effort" port on PS3/Vita.
Meanwhile Doom Classic Complete gives you Doom 1/2/Final as well as Master Levels and NRFTL for $15 on PS3.
fuck off randy

Basically the same on PC except you can't get NRFTL without buying Doom 3: BFG edition. Plus with the fact that there are a ton of Doom source ports out there and you can still use your old versions of Doom, it is pretty awful what Randy and co are doing with Duke.
I'm curious actually, is it worth getting Doom 3: BFG edition... just for NRFTL? I've beaten Doom 1 and have nearly beaten Doom 2, I'm going to do Final Doom but I want moar.

Was Randy Pitchford selling cars before becoming a game developer?
In his early days, Pitchford was a professional magician in Hollywood occasionally performing at the famous Magic Castle between classes at UCLA.
I guess his power was turning things into shit
If we ever happen to send another message into space, like the Pioneer plaque, we should make sure to include the message "Randy Pitchford is a fuckface" engraved in a plate of gold.
How can one person be so utterly unlikeable?

While NRFTL is in the DBFG files, it isn't actually hooked up, you need to take it out and run it like a wad file, it also doesn't include the file that tells what levels what music to play.
I guess the only way this could get any worse would be if they didn't include any multiplayer at all, and if they replaced the original GRP files with different data storage types, making it impossible to play the game using eDuke32.
Considering how things have went so far, expect at least one of the two predictions to come true.

Megaton had no new content and "no real technical work"
Ohhh so i guess we are paying for the ability to play duke with no less than 2 gigs of ram and a fucking DX11 graphics card.
What a fucking joke
Duke doesn't deserve this. I'd rather have Activision own the rights instead. Anyone else but Gearbox.

As such, it's very useful to add it to your Autoload! Open your zdoom-mywindowsusername.ini (or gzdoom-mywindowsusername.ini depending on what you use), find the line "[doom.doom2.commercial.Autoload]" and add this line under it:
Path=C:\My\Folder\Path\To\nerve.wad
Some of the key points:
- Multiplayer present and "rewrote from the ground up", with Dukematch, co-op and bot support. The dev claims the bots were unused and not hooked up. They were pretty obscure to enable, so maybe he just wasn't aware.
- The other expansion packs aren't included because they wanted to keep the focus on the original 1996 content. They might add them after release.
- There is developer commentary that goes into the level designers trying to remember how they did things with the old tools. :v:
Also, via both Randy and TerminX: You'll probably be able to switch to the old voice recordings.
Jesus Christ... I can't believe how terrible the "New" Duke Nukem is.
Let him die ALREADY!

Sounds like a good back up plan for them.
Guess I'll hold back my despair till the first reviews.
After seeing gameplay and the instant switching between polymost and true3d, I wouldn't be surprised if Gearbox pulled a Halo Anniversary by having them running at the same time considering how instant they seemed to be
which, alongside true3d probably not being well made, would also explain the awful requirements
I think I'll just stick with my Megaton edition, with mods and steam workshop support?
What's the point of true 3D anyway?
That's what the devs were hoping to find out.

Looking up and down for the first time without knowing made me want to die.
Managed to pick up the Collector's Edition of Doom for 40 quid, pretty fucking happy with that find. Would've preferred PC but it was sold out and I wanted that statue, it's fuckn sick.

So I'm having a really strange problem with GZDoom skyboxes. In the visual mode editor in GZDoom builder, I see this:

But when I'm in-game, it looks like this:

Anyone know what's going on? If it helps, the image dimensions for the skybox parts are 256x256.
the instant switching between polymost and true3d
The Polymost renderer is already in true 3D. The toggling in the 20th Anniversary World Tour videos shows it switching between the original 8-bit software renderer (which exhibits the y-shearing) and their (Gearbox's) new 3D renderer.
Does anyone have anymore information/videos of that Dusk game? The only thing I've seen is that one video that was already posted. I really wanna know more about it.

Holy shit nice. I have been looking a while at Ebay for the statue but most prices are at 60-70 €, with no other content than the statue.
Anyone here know if the Demon models were fully extracted yet from the game? I'm looking for the Cyberdemon's for a pretty big project I have in mind, and the raw model would be suuuper helpful for it!

They can extract models at the moment, but not the textures.

Don't need those anyway! Just looking to 3D Print the Cyberdemon's cannon arm

Can somebody identify the soundtrack used in this map? It sounds very familiar to me but I can't for the life of me place it
