Is there a way to change the resolution in Devil Daggers? My laptop's native resolution is 1440p but it struggles with any game running above 1080p
Sadly I'm pretty sure there's no way The closest think I'd say is forcing 640x480 through the .exe properties Or maybe changing your native resolution before booting DD

For some weird ass reason, I get better FPS on Devil Daggers on energy saver mode... ..Than on High Performance (until at around 190 seconds, then the framerate magically goes over 100)
Full soundtrack is out on Spotify, http://mick-gordon.com/doom/
Nice, hope it goes up for purchase soon. Also, is there a reason none of it will play?
I don't think it is actually out yet. Might have been an early release by accident.
Just knowing it's finally coming makes me happy.
Overpriced vinyl picture disc release when
AAAAAGH FUCK THIS IS REALLY KILLING ME ______________ IT'S FUCKING OUT
I fucking love how the whole soundtrack is bookended by the demonic lore voice.
I fucking love how the soundtrack exists and shit
I hope we get to have a physical release of the soundtrack soon. It's fucking incredible.
The sountrack on spotify works now. At least in Canada https://play.spotify.com/album/0KQyC28P9808r0oKKNgHvp
Man, playing Doom '16 with M&KB at a consistent 60 FPS now is ridiculous thanks to a far better rig than before. Once I get in the zone everything's getting shotgun grenades in the face, and it's way smoother than playing with a controller. I just got past the Argent Tower and while I can find the secret levels, now I've got one missed secret bothering me, combined with two uncompleted challenges so far (get the falling glory kill on two Hell Knights, and kill 15 enemies with Quad Damage). I just seem to fuck up opportunities for them, especially with how finicky glory kills can be.
Not in Canada :(
I really don't understand restrictions like this. Why should people who happen to live in a different part of the world simply get cockblocked like this. It's just like other digital media and things where certain people just get fucked by not making it available for them. Why not just make it available for everyone in the first place?

Just another dinosaur that hasn't yet realised a meteor hit it.
There was some talk about some kind of Arcade mode for Doom? Was that something official?
There was some talk about some kind of Arcade mode for Doom? Was that something official?
It's an official thing that'll be coming for free, I believe, at the same time as the next non-free Multiplayer DLC. They showed off the Arcade Mode version of Foundry during the recent Xbox livestream. To loosely summarise: You pick a level from the campaign, select a loadout from any weapon you'd normally have by that point in the game and all of the runes, and aim to complete the map with as high a score as possible using a limited number of lives. There's a medal system for certain things (barrel kills, triple shot kills, headshots...) and a combo system that lets you rack up a score multiplier by getting kills and medals in quick succession. Each map is also reconfigured to add things like extra life pickups and floating barrel things to promote environmental kills. Speedrun tricks/glitches won't be fixed, because frankly you won't get a very high score using them.
Sounds awesome. That will get me to play the game again.
I have to say, when I first heard 'Arcade Mode' I was a bit.. befuzzled. But it's nice to see that it's a specially-tweaked mode rather than just the same game but with a timer and score counter.
Has anyone tried Gunscape? It sort of seems like it is a Mario Maker in a retro-inspired FPS package. Quake era styled graphics for your weapons and enemies but everything is sort of consists of blocks (think Wolfenstein but allowing vertical block layering) for easy and quick level creation.
The official OST versions of the tracks are fucking amazing dear lord. I can see why Mick said he didn't like that one guy trying to re-construct the songs from just the in-game files. There's so many neat little parts to each song that you don't hear in-game. Wonder why they couldn't fit those in? Especially stuff like that little drum transition in BFG Division. It's a little touch but it adds a lot.

I think it would be nice if the map editor had an advanced mode that's closer to Hammer where you can place editable brushes with various possible shapes/dimensions and be able to change textures on individual faces, but otherwise, the game does look pretty neat.

Movement always felt off, just something not quite right about it. Graphics and designs feel so heavily uninspired it's insane. If anything they're too inspired though, because half of them are direct rips of weapons from other games. Not to mention, all of the maps look really ugly and square, with absolutely no details to round out edges or add little extra touches, but I guess that's the price you pay when you make a game of that style, where levels are made by everyone, and you need to have an editor that's so simple anyone can use it.
Looking further into it, they really need to give the game an identity of it's own. I like the idea of an easy accessible map maker with retro FPS gameplay. I can totally see the large blocks not being many people's tea either. Props such as pillars, tables, doors, etc do break up the visuals a bit though. Unfortunately it seems like it only gives you something like 2-3 enemies that fit into one specific theme, said themes are aped from other games. You got the Turok, you got the Bioshock, you got the Wolfenstein and DOOM, etc.
It's funny how so many retro inspired games go so god damn blocky when even Quake 1 had rounded geometry from time to time, and plenty of rooms that weren't just squares or made out of squares. Hell doom had round rooms too, this block-only minecraft-type look really doesn't sit well with me. It's like ignoring a huge part of the jump from wolf3d to doom just to be "retro"

A game that is essentially a super fleshed out snapmap, it just needs a lot of love and support to really work.
goddammit, completed the first hell level and I missed a rune and a couple secrets and yet another glory kill-related challenge (the leg snap on the hell razers) it kills my soul a little on the inside when that tally at the end of the level shows up and I didn't 100% it
