goddammit, completed the first hell level and I missed a rune and a couple secrets and yet another glory kill-related challenge (the leg snap on the hell razers)
it kills my soul a little on the inside when that tally at the end of the level shows up and I didn't 100% it
The same exact thing happened to me. I went into the final arena figuring I could get everything done after I finished it but I didnt realize that the door closes behind you and you cant go back after that point.
Just got around to starting up Kingpin: Life of Crime, and it crashes at startup.
Worst part is that the fix is on a dead link.

GOG version or Steam version?
It's funny how so many retro inspired games go so god damn blocky when even Quake 1 had rounded geometry from time to time, and plenty of rooms that weren't just squares or made out of squares.
Hell doom had round rooms too, this block-only minecraft-type look really doesn't sit well with me. It's like ignoring a huge part of the jump from wolf3d to doom just to be "retro"
Same here. For me it's like they're barely grasping at what we used to like about those games.

Full official soundtrack, on YouTube.
I'm gonna give it a good listen, even though I haven't got the chance to play the game.
Speaking of kickass soundtracks, KF2 has a damn good soundtrack too.

^ I kinda like KF2's a bit more (sometimes) because it's not djenty as Doom '16's is.

GOG. Picked it up from the sale going on right now
To be entirely honest KF2's OST got old for me after the first couple of matches. DOOM's kicks ass though.
I rather listen to KF1's. Even the event pieces.
I enjoy KF2's music, but I think DOOM's music is generally a better OST for being hand crafted as opposed to randomly picked.
GOG. Picked it up from the sale going on right now
I purchased it as well... are you on Win10? What about compatibility mode? :/
I rather listen to KF1's. Even the event pieces.
UT2004's KF music will always have a special place in my heart. I'm not really fond of KF2's music, and KF1's was OK, but back in the early versions of the mod the old 6 or so grungy metal tracks were all I needed to hear. I honestly wish the game kept a dark and gritty tone like the mod instead of evolving into a more comedic atmosphere when it became a full game.
As much as I absolutely love DOOM's OST, I mean, it's one of my top soundtracks in a long time, I feel like it could've used a little more variation.
I would've loved to hear some music a little closer to stuff like this:

Just maybe a few songs here and there where the guitar isn't blown out as hard as it is in every song.
Doom's $30 on Steam! Get it
Trent Reznor should come back and do a video game soundtrack sometime. The guy just gets it.

Remember how the track "Cyberdemon" had the 666 and pentragram hidden in it? The soundtrack version has another set of 666 and one extra goodie at the end:

Or is it? We may never know the answer...

I mean to be fair, No Rest for the Living is better than Doom 2 in its entirety.
