Managed to get outside the map in the last part of the Argent facility (destroyed) thanks to a helpful Cacodemon who I glory killed over the fence (with the extra glory kill range rune).

The Revenant didn't know what to do so it just stood still. The Mancubus kept trying to shoot me.

Found a spot near here to jump back in over the last fence post.

Is Blood getting any love in terms of modding/remakes? It was my favorite Build-engine FPS with really solid gameplay and maps.
Each gun had an alternative fire mode, which essentially doubled your arsenal.
Skip the horrid CGI intro and jump straight into gameplay.

Sadly the game doesn't seem to have a cult following as Doom or Duke Nukem

It's mostly because the sequel wasn't good and the attempts at a source port have been blockaded by years due to Atari sitting on the license. The game has its cult following, no puns intended, but legal bullshit has really kept it out of attention in the community beyond recreations and buying the originals for DOSBOX on GoG.

That sucks, seems it's a similar "license limbo" as No One Lives Forever

A damn shame, specially since Shadow Warrior is relevant nowadays.
We can only hope...

If you like Blood, you absolutely must check out the Death Wish map pack for it. It's an incredible set of maps that has some of the best level design and atmosphere I've ever seen and that's not just talking about old FPSes.

Call it "Man and a Half" mode.
so there are no backpacks in the new one?
ammo capacity is upped by player upgrades then?
so there are no backpacks in the new one?

It's a system borrowed from Bioshock Infinite. You find generic upgrades you can dispatch in either max health, max armor or max ammo cap.
faster glory kills / farther glory kills / run faster after glory kills + berserk powerup is retarded silly
Honestly, why do people not use cmd anymore?
Just open it, go to your ZDoom folder and write "Zdoom -file X.wad Y.wad ..."
It's completely unnecessary to use a launcher, do clunky drag-and-dropping, or even edit your ini files (seriously?). If you want to repeatedly launch the same wads, make a shortcut using the same parameters.
Right clicking, opening command prompt, typing in three or four .wad file names, and checking spelling is less clunky than just dragging and dropping or having a simple, organized launcher handle it for you? Especially when I have folder trees for organizing all my mods.
Or just write a .bat-file to it for you.
There's nothing wrong with drag&drop. But .bats are another good way to do it, since you can set different setups for games. Recording demos for example.

For all 50 of my mods, including combinations and permutations such as gameplay mod + megawad + ketchup?
I don't care what you do but my system works for me.

This shit is seriously trippy in game.

Launchers don't really bother me that much to be honest, although there are those shit ones that don't allow you to set certain launch options or even load certain types of files.
Drag and Drop is just terrible practice and extremely inconvenient if you have lots of files in a single folder (which will eventually be the case if you use something like GetWad). You also can't set any other launch parameters, or even determine the launch ordering which might be important when using gameplay mods with certain levels.
Edit: Everything's wrong with drag&drop
It's almost jarring in game, and the level it's used in has some seriously psychotic platforming.
I think because the music is dynamic, the volume isn't the exact same as you'd hear ingame, like that music playing ingame can be loud as fuck when fighting Demons.
So what do people think of the two new weapons now that they've played around with them?
The HAR is a bit "conventional" although they needed a gun that had the functionality of the old chaingun (micro missiles are cool though). Gauss Cannon is nice too.
That sucks, seems it's a similar "license limbo" as No One Lives Forever
It's not that it's in limbo like NOLF (IIRC between three companies), it's just that modern Atari is absolute shit.
HAR mini missiles are the best hing ever. I love spamming them to clear out larger groups. I used that and the combat shotgun's explosive round far more than I ever used the Rocket launcher. The rocket launcher just felt weak in this Doom with it's slower rate of fire, all the other weapons felt more satisfying to use.
Only time I used the Rocket launcher was with bigger enemies and bosses.
And that's only after getting the lock on mod.
Too right. And once you get the Mastery Upgrade for the Micro Missiles, you can basically turn your HAR into a fully-automatic Fourth-of-July cannon. It's just so good.
It's not that it's in limbo like NOLF (IIRC between three companies), it's just that modern Atari is absolute shit.
In-fucking-deed. Atari just needs to DIE so the IPs can go to more sane and heartful devs.
Hell, I wouldn't object to seeing Nightdive pick up the Blood license once they're done breathing life back into the System Shock franchise.
what's that track called with the high pitched metal screaming/whistle? I love when it climaxes into that while fighting a demon horde.
Did anyone else notice the Summoner being missing from SnapMap? I had almost entirely forgot about that thing since it appears so scarcely in the campaign.

Shotgun Cluster Grenades. Even the Shielders and Hell Razers can't survive an onslaught of the damn things, it just clears out an entire group in a second flat if they're close enough.
