Did someone rip all of the new Doom OST? I found a 12-track FLAC rip somewhere but, the link's gone.
People are petitioning to convince id Software to mod support to Doom 4. Sign it now!
Because petitions have worked so well in the past.
No offense to the people holding this petition, but I really don't think id Software could add true mod support even if they wanted to. There are a lot of reasons that developers don't do true mod support these days and many of them are a lot more logical than just "we hate modders," or "we're too lazy to do it," some of these reasons even including legal stipulation like the contracts regarding the usage of middleware, so I don't think it's the kind of thing id Software can just... will into the air, like they could back in 1993.
I dunno man, they made idtech 5 moddable under Bethesda and there was something called idstudio mentioned in the leaks which is apparently a modding suite.
Is Blood getting any love in terms of modding/remakes? It was my favorite Build-engine FPS with really solid gameplay and maps. Each gun had an alternative fire mode, which essentially doubled your arsenal. Skip the horrid CGI intro and jump straight into gameplay. Sadly the game doesn't seem to have a cult following as Doom or Duke Nukem
lol what? Blood is widely considered by many to be the best Build engine FPS. The fanbase is small, but it's definitely has a cult following. It's just hard to get behind a game that has been so neglected by the publishers and the only way to play it is through DOSbox which is hard for some people to set up. Maybe one day years from now we'll get a glorious source port on par with Duke and Shadow Warrior.

It could happen, and I'm sure id Software wants to do it, but I think it's going to take a lot more than just fan feedback to make that happen.
as far as i'm aware middleware is all available free to use but all require a license if you wish to sell your product for commercial gain.
Yeah, it could happen later down the line. I'm just sayin that they of all people are probably keenly aware that Doom's fans want true modding for Doom 4, but I don't think the reason that isn't happening right around launch is just because they never thought fans wanted it. I'm sure it's much more complicated than that.
id practically invented modding. hopefully they realize this and put more focus on it with the success they've had with doom

I felt this game needed a Matrix Lobby map to complete the nostalgia. Several secrets including an Agent Smith fight, "Thanks for playing" disco spark room, and a BFG.
I dunno man, they made idtech 5 moddable under Bethesda and there was something called idstudio mentioned in the leaks which is apparently a modding suite.
Id Studio is the internal editor suite, ala UnrealEd. It can be turned into a modding SDK, but don't expect to actually accomplish anything with it if it's anything like Rage's.

It lacked documentation, it lacked tutorials, it lacked an AI compiler (so your AI was dumb as shit, I'm dead fucking serious). Its like insult to injury, so close but so far away. Oh it also took a long time to compile and its like 20+ million gigs. lol!

Still trying to get to the bottom of this dropped frames issue. It seems like a memory leak issue, but a few people have claimed it's an audio issue. Something about it switching to the onboard drivers instead of Realtek? Doesn't make much sense to me. Hope it gets patched soon.
technically there is a female doom marine: [t]http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/quake/images/9/93/P_crash.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20110517010455[/t]

I think I've managed to figure out the possible culprits of my FPS drops. I have 8.00GB of RAM, which is what the game really needs to run smoothly, but only 7.89GB of that RAM is actually usable. Would such a small difference in amount really effect the game that much? If it's not that, then there's some memory leak I'm still not aware of, or my CPU is just shit.

DOOM 4 perhaps has the best boss battles I have ever seen in a FPS.
Well shit. Snapmap crashes every time now when I try to edit a map I've been working on.
DOOM 4 perhaps has the best boss battles I have ever seen in a FPS.
I second this, at least in comparison to Wolfenstein: The New Order's final boss that relied on increasingly annoying level hazards as time went on. Pissed me off a fair bit.

Doom 3 campaign snapmap when? :v: Also, Dark Interval is awesome.

So, I finally had a CTD last night. On the PS4.
Spent an hour trying different things to fix the FPS drops again, and still literally no improvements. This is so damn frustrating. Just about ready to just nuke my computer with the ol' factory reset and start fresh.
