So there's sprites from Blood and Strife, as well as assets from Doom, Quake, Duke 3D, Half-Life, Left 4 Dead and Rise of The Triad. Good god it'll be a race between 3D Realms, Gearbox, Night Dive, Valve, Zenimax and Atari to see who revs up their lawyers first [editline]26th November 2016[/editline] There's one positive review. This is my rig:
Same video card here, were you using Vulkan?

Why is Marphy giving so many Late ratings lately, jesus.
Why is Marphy giving so many Late ratings lately, jesus.
Lately? He's been doing that for a long time
Marphy is from the distant future, so we're all perpetually late, forever.
Finally got around to finish Ancient Aliens map pack with Trailblazer mod. [t]http://i.imgur.com/W5ITWQc.jpg[/t] What a trip it was. No amount of aliens can't stop you when you have the power of FREEDOM.
The Space Trucker situation has already been brought to the attention of the appropriate parties. The best course of action at the moment is to deny the infringing title any more attention. We have top men working on it right now. Also, these games are obviously just elaborate fronts for the authors to add their furry personas, or "furrysonas" as I believe they're called, officially to Steam in the form of profile backgrounds and emoticons: Exhibit A, Exhibit B, Exhibit 3, Exhibit D.
Oh boy, Of all the things to make a game on steam for, that has to be the stupidest. Even as a Furfag myself I cant even fathom that though process, If you really wanted some fluffy bullshit on steam, there are many other games that will give you it, like the blatantly furry Major/Minor, weather or not its yours doesn't really mater when you own content look like garbage anyway.
like the blatantly furry Major/Minor
Which was another game which was published on Steam specifically so the author can get their THEIR fucking fursona shit on steam. What the shit?
I mean I kinda get it to a degree, A lot of the people in the fandom are really proud of there characters, Including myself, but the idea that you would go out and making a shit product to get you character on steam is just crazy, You have a fucking icon picture and your own personality, That should be more then enough for anyone
i wanted my 666th post to be in the doom thread
Been a while since I've done anything Quake I ported the breakable code from arcane dimensions, the candle models, and the thrower traps, so there's some partial compatibility/overlap since SMC uses some of the same monster_ classnames too I also ported the rotating entities from hipnotic, the enemies from rogue, and the buzzsaw and pendulum traps from rogue. My code is now a clusterfuck of 4 code bases. I mostly kept them in separate named files though.
So I recently got DOOM on sale and boy is SnapMap cool. The amount of stuff ya can do and shi-, didn't really expected it to have this much. For a simplified Map Editor, I say it's pretty impressive. I made this 15-20 minutes long map with simple puzzles, simple "story", easter eggs, secrets and plenty of action. 3X3J6LMV Screenshots are from starting area. I haven't tried Snapmap for a while, did they put a higher limit of monsters and objects?
I haven't tried Snapmap for a while, did they put a higher limit of monsters and objects?
I think that if you make object have no physics, you can use much more of them.
I mean I kinda get it to a degree, A lot of the people in the fandom are really proud of there characters, Including myself, but the idea that you would go out and making a shit product to get you character on steam is just crazy, You have a fucking icon picture and your own personality, That should be more then enough for anyone
I imagine you have to EARN the privilege of having your works be recognized and respected. If what you put out is actually good, actually worth playing and experiencing, then it will have truly earned the potential to be respected. For instance, games like Dust: An Elysian Tail and Freedom Planet are good, and they involve characters of a "furrish" nature, though only really in appearance (it mgiht come as a surprise, but there is nothing specifically sexualised in those games, they're actually quite tame). And I imagine the motive there was not to shove some sort of persona into the faces of the gaming public, but to actually make a good game.
Context is king. If you're having to warp the context to force your fetish, you've already done fucked up.

Fair enough, though I've heard a lot of people level criticisms at the character designs in Dust for being a little "DeviantArt-esque". Though that's probably just people being people. And Dust is still a pretty decent Metroidvania, even though Axiom Verge still holds the crown for me. Though this is neither here nor there in regards to shooter discussion.
No fucking way. Looks like Sonic Mayhem is going to be one of the bands performing the DOOM OST with Mick Gordon.
I've never played Freedom Planet but Dust is intended to be styled after things like Looney Tunes or Disney's Robin Hood movie and not furry stuff.
Now really isn't the time or place to get into it, but from what I've seen furries don't really have a specific art style aside from animal characters, so Im like legit interested in what you consider furry art?

I'm addressing what Dust is. The developer has outright stated it's not a furry game and that his intention was to style it after movies and shows such as the ones I mentioned.

I thought for a moment there was something I never knew about and thats why no one likes furries, But no People Just don't like us because we're fuckin' weird :v:
I'm not sure if I should keep the disabled attack, that might mess with some maps
what you consider furry art?
I don't know much about this "forrees" artwork, but I did play this Doom 2 WAD back in the late 90s: [t]http://i.imgur.com/Hwxnqh2.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/iS3sj6u.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/mj2JPf1.png[/t] I have since assumed this is wholly representative of the lifestyle.

In all seriousness its nice to be able to express some opinions that I don't usual get to talk about, even though I sure most of you don't really care, So thanks for not shooting me down before I could even say anything, it means a lot to me, especially after a bad day.
Sucks, I can run DOOM 4 just fine but can't run Wolfenstein: The Old Blood (or The New Order presumably) smoothly at all, even on the lowest settings.
I haven't tried Snapmap for a while, did they put a higher limit of monsters and objects?
You can set a prop or blocking volume to be "static", which means you can't do stuff to it with logic chains but it doesn't count towards the limits, making building new geometry more viable. Check out Bloodshot's stuff in this thread for some great examples.
Oh, well that makes sense. I thought for a moment there was something I never knew about and thats why no one likes furries, But no People Just don't like us because we're fuckin' weird :v:
Yeah. And because they're people. People will be people, in the long run. Though usually they get like that because it ends up affecting them. If it gets up in their grill, they tend to get a little pushed back by something they don't understand. And thing is, while I can respect when someone simply CAN'T understand, as in being genuinely unable to comprehend something, I have no sympathy when someone simply WON'T understand, as in being fully able to comprehend something but passionately refusing to try and figure out why. The best solution is for one side to avoid pushing things in other people's faces, and for the other side to not be an absolute dick about it if they stumble upon something. Seems reasonable enough.
