SGT mark IV is still trying to stay relevent, it looks like.
"I added limited Chex Quest compatibility for Brutal Doom v20b as an easter egg, and didn't made any big deal of it, because I wanted people to find it for themselves." Trust Mark to make that statement on a video that directly contradicts it.
Hahah
0/10 doesn't even have 15 second long glory kills of Chex viscerally scooping up flemoids with his spoon.

I'm in love with this song, tho BFG Division and the VEGA theme are also godlike
what's your other specs?
Intel Core i5-3330 CPU @ 3.00GHz 8.00 GB of RAM (7.89 GB usable) Windows 10 GTX 970
Fucking hell, I really wish this fucking checkpoint would stop placing me inside a rune trial that I already fucking completed. I have to exit this, and fucking go through two loading screens and through 3 minutes worth of pre-battle enemy clearing just to get to the point where I keep fucking dying.

The loading is so much faster for them independently and they still unlock for your save file.
Intel Core i5-3330 CPU @ 3.00GHz 8.00 GB of RAM (7.89 GB usable) Windows 10 GTX 970
huh i got same CPU and RAM, but my GPU is much much worse been playing it on low settings with stable 50-60 fps (except for when i got into big location like foundry) the problem i have is that game is constantly closing itself after playing for an hour or two due to GPU overheat
DOOM 4 perhaps has the best boss battles I have ever seen in a FPS.
I am shocked at how good the boss fights are, even if they aren't that difficult. I want more.
Goddamn I love the Mastermind's design in this game. Really hope the expansion or sequel gets Arachnotrons, because god damn did they perfectly tackle the "Brain Spider but also a Demon" aesthetic. It'd also be neat if the sequel makes use of the Cybers and Masterminds as more common minibosses, kind of like DOOM 2.

Did anyone else run through the first time on Ultra-Violence and never hardly use the chainsaw? I almost always had full ammo or no difficulty killing big demons.
Did anyone else run through the first time on Ultra-Violence and never hardly use the chainsaw? I almost always had full ammo or difficulty killing big demons.
Barely ever used BFG and chainsaw, really only used the BFG when I knew spare ammo was around and it was essentially a free shot. I ran out of ammo a lot but I just switched to a different gun and never ran out of more than one ammo pool at a time. Playing the old Resident Evil games has turned me into someone who absolutely hordes everything I get thinking that maybe I will need it one day then just beating the game :v:
If they have a legitimate reason that the mod tools aren't yet/wont be released that's fine, its up to ID and I think we should respect that decision, but I just wish they would tell us straight up, or at the very least show acknowledgement that there is a demand for mod support so we have an assemblance of an idea on what happening with the future of doom Doom, because right now I think a lot of people are worried that Snapmap and Multiplayer won't keep the game alive for very long.
Did anyone else run through the first time on Ultra-Violence and never hardly use the chainsaw? I almost always had full ammo or difficulty killing big demons.
I only pull out the chainsaw when I need more Shotgun or Gauss Cannon ammo. The Shotgun Cluster Grenade for weak mobs grouped up, the Super Shotgun for the tougher enemies, and the Gauss Cannon Siege Mode or Precision Bolt for when I need to make something really, really dead. Occasionally interspersed with Rocket Launcher crowd control and just going ham with the Chaingun.
I'm really confused at how I get through parts of the map where the map shows a clear passage but the actual game has a solid wall there. Sometimes there are even rewards behind the wall.

In some cases there's a vent over in a room back or ahead, so be wary of points of no return as you look for them. In the Lazarus Labs there's at least one secret route where you have to open a vent shaft on the floor by looking at it and activating it, so it's a little tricky some times.

The map indicates a wide pathway or a stairs down or something. Most of them are in the very late parts of the game. I've spent 15 minutes just running around smacking every part of the wall, looking at the ceiling and floor and I just can't see how to open them.

For anyone crashing with random CTD. I duly recommend you enable Vsync. Also, in the advanced setting, there's a virtual page memory option. I recommend putting that to medium or low. Solved all my crashing, I'm on GTX 970 8 G Ram Windows 10 I5-4670k

Solved all my crashing, I'm on GTX 970 8 G Ram Windows 10 I5-4670k
I have the exact same build but 16gb of ram and I've only had two or three crashes total with the virtual page memory option set to the highest it can be for the 970. This is with vsync set to adaptive too. I don't really see why vsync would really affect the crashes anyways though. and the page memory option shouldn't really affect things either as far as I can tell since even at 1440p at max settings the game doesn't ever use more than 2200-2300mb of vram.

I'm doing the Argent Tower for secrets now. Right at the very start, when you cross the bridge, you can go upwards and go through 2 tall tower things. My compass is beeping like crazy on the second one but I can't see anywhere a secret would be. I've gotten all the collectable items, my map shows nothing there, and it's the only secret I'm missing. Where is it?
