The death animations are neat, not just thrown away or gored
I admit I fall into the same routine sometimes. Horde of enemies in the room? I jump around a little if there's a gap or something nearby, but usually i'll just dodge, bob and weave between the enemies like it's oldschool Doom and tear them apart in one big gore circle. If I was playing Ultra-Violence or Nightmare I probably couldn't pull this off due to the enemies leading their shots, though.
i'm still wondering what do people use to record doom footage, obs made the game crash, raptr is not functioning
Shadowplay is good.
Shadowplay is good.
But i got amd card
What's the best way to play the original doom in co-op? I've tried doomseeker, but it never felt intuitive and it doesn't support GZdoom.
Skulltag/zandronum, though youre still forced to use DS Speaking of exploration et all, I start looking and analyzing the room and the entire level once I cleared out a section. If more enemies start spawning I'll just kill them first, but after that it's back to secrets and routes. It's not even hard to grasp it lol :v
But i got amd card
Oh well then I have no clue, sorry.
I cant seem to find any secrets in plutonia 2 though. I dont know what clever shit they used but its as if all of their secrets go directly against the doom secret mentality - differing textures, indents in walls, tiny switches etc
I saw it in recommended so I decided to give it a look since I haven't watched anything Game Grumps in a year or two at this point. They try to hit buttons to open up the door the shotgun's at, see it glowing yet look past it, backtrack when they can't progress, go up to the door to mash again, then back up and see the shotgun and realize they're supposed to grab it. I couldn't watch anymore after that.
Oh come on, I think that would be a great incentive to watch it. I think bad gameplay is great. I mean, as long as they weren't saying the game was badly designed or something for it, that's fine - but even, at least they aren't claiming to be gaming experts.
I like how the ledges in this game are marked with green lights, it's just convenient
The way the ledges are sort of remind me of Far Cry 3.

It's by far the best netcode out of all the sourceports I've tested.
Decided to replay Wolfenstein: The New Order on PS3. Managed to break the game twice in the first level alone on accident. If you unplug your controller while charging, TNO just stop taking inputs. I can open and navigate the XMB just fine, but Wolfesntein just sits there.
Goddamn the [sp]Spider Mastermind[/sp]is such a pain, took me 3 times to finally defeat it.
I wish I could say I had more trouble with the bosses, but on replays, I noticed myself going easy on them to savor the experience. They're just too easy to cheese out with the most powerful stuff you have.
Goddamn the [sp]Spider Mastermind[/sp]is such a pain, took me 3 times to finally defeat it.
Only reason I had trouble with it was because I was a fucking idiot and kept using the Gauss cannon (in Siege mode, naturally) while standing on those pillars that rose from the ground. If you've done that, you know what happens. :v:
I don't think I died once to the [sp]Cyberdemon[/sp] or the [sp]Hell Guardians[/sp], funnily enough. Then again I'm only playing on Hurt Me Plenty like the scrub-a-dub-dub-three-men-in-a-tub that I am.
Shadowplay is good.
Does it work for Doom yet? As of launch and like a week ago, it didn't for me. [editline]30th May 2016[/editline]
somehow ironic how they continuously get confused with seemingly obvious shit like the glowing corpse under the door, while arin complains about modern games being too hand-holding in his other videos :v: can you imagine how long they'd flail around trying to figure out some of the more labyrinthine d1/d2 maps?
Yeah like the Act 2 Desert level. You had to find out which tomb is the right one, by first clearing them, then literally going to space, and then finding it out, whoever had the quest active. But with my all-inclusive map-hack and lightning speed wizard character, I could get to the right tomb doorway faster than the newbie could read his quest log.
i'm still wondering what do people use to record doom footage, obs made the game crash, raptr is not functioning
Try Plays.TV, which is the standalone recording component of raptr. Failing that, Dxtory.
Does it work for Doom yet? As of launch and like a week ago, it didn't for me.
It works if you set Doom to Borderless Windowed Mode and allow Shadowplay to record your Desktop.
Does it work for Doom yet? As of launch and like a week ago, it didn't for me. [editline]30th May 2016[/editline]
Yeah its because Doom doesn't run directx
Yeah its because Doom doesn't run directx
But wait, it runs on Xbox. Surely there's a DirectX mode buried somewhere in there, right?
Speaking of the [sp]spiderdemon[/sp], I think he's the best boss I've ever fought in an fps game. He's everything I wanted a boss to be. Sick as fuck design, tons of abilities, and something you want to fucking destroy.
I loved the bosses in this game, there's something about the old fashioned gamey feel of it that I missed, they have different attack, here's how you dodge them, the patterns really.
Try Plays.TV, which is the standalone recording component of raptr. Failing that, Dxtory.
Plays.TV doesn't seem to work at all for me, weird.
I loved the bosses in this game, there's something about the old fashioned gamey feel of it that I missed, they have different attack, here's how you dodge them, the patterns really.
I really wish there were more, and that they were a regular part of the game's pacing, rather than all being in the last third of the game.

I finished DOOM RPG. Not going to lie, it was surprisingly fun and very impressive when you remember that the game runs on old mobile devices.
when I played the new DOOM and shot the BFG for the first time, my game crashed instantly. That was also the only issue I encountered in the whole game.
It seems to crash on things you witness for the first time, sometimes.
I liked how the final boss actually made you use duck
I liked how the final boss actually made you use duck
I don't remember having to duck in that fight [editline]30th May 2016[/editline]
when I played the new DOOM and shot the BFG for the first time, my game crashed instantly.
