I almost feel like I'm missing out as well when it comes to the Crash Party (which sounds like a local-multiplayer console title, or some sort of garage band). And yet I don't think my machine has crashed one time in Doom 4, and what's more it loads astonishingly quickly off of my old clunky, occasionally rattling hard disk.
...say... Just out of interest, which of you guys have the game stored on a hard disk, and which of you run it off an SSD? Maybe that's a factor we haven't considered yet? (though it's still possible that it doesn't matter)

I'm running it off my SSD, and I have only crashed about twice, but I've been consistently having bizarre framerate issues.
How very interesting. Curiouser and curiouser...
My game started crashing more often since the latest update
Mine stopped crashing after I learned to close Firefox before starting it up.
Also, I really wish firing the plasma gun and chaingun didn't slow your look speed. It makes me not want to use them.

According to Speccy, i'm running DOOM off of a 1863GB Western Digital WDC WD20EARX-00PASB0 ATA Device (SATA)
derp, forgot to say that it can take a few minutes to load a single campaign map, and i haven't really tried getting into non-snapmap multiplayer shit yet because of it
It's almost impossible to go back to MP after finishing the campaign, it just feels so stripped.
According to Speccy, i'm running DOOM off of a 1863GB Western Digital WDC WD20EARX-00PASB0 ATA Device (SATA)
Mine's an "ST1000DM 003-9YN162" Seagate Desktop HDD 1 TB Internal hard drive SATA 6Gb/, whatever that is. But apparently it's got a good cache, is 3.5 inches on the inside, and whizzes by at 7200 rpm.
Some of these things probably contribute to the fact that I have yet to crash in Doom 4, and that the larger maps load within 10-20 seconds. Although I think my hard drive might be narcoleptic, since it doesn't stay spun up when it's not actively being used (is that normal, or should I take it to see a spin doctor?), and takes 5 or so seconds to activate when I decide to access something on it. Sometimes it sleeps in on occasion when I boot my machine up, meaning I have to restart to make it wake up properly.
I'm on a below-minimum-spec computer and can barely keep 30FPS on borderless windowed with all low settings since they refused to actually let you tone down the effects and graphics fully. And the only CTD I've gotten was in Lazarus Labs, during a real intense battle with enemies on all sides as I super shotgun'd a Shotgunner into kibbles and bits.
Well, besides one other time on a loading screen as I was moving to quit the game anyway.
Jesus how far below minspec are you?
I'm below minspec (apparently) and I'm getting 90FPS average on Ultra.

Excellent stuff, as expected of Skillsaw. And unfortunately, rather mod-unfriendly.
The custom palettes don't do well with many mods...
Just discovered this mod from your post and I'm already at the end of the first episode.
Damn good mod. Great mapping, great music, and the gameplay is pretty good too. Some parts are a bit trial-and-error-ish but you could probably get through them quicker on the second playthrough.
wasn't the bfg supposed to get ammo from killing enemies with other weapons?
and what about the whole thing about 3 fire modes + elemental effects?
also hologram pairs pretty well with siege railgun
I never thought I'd feel this way, but I feel like it'd actually be pretty cool if id patched in more glory kill anims for the most common attack angles as time went on. It could be an interesting way to keep the more common ones just as entertaining on replays.

their minimum is an i5-2400 or an AMD FX-8320, 8 GB of RAM, and a GTX 670 2GB or Radeon HD 7870 2GB
i'm sitting on a GTX 560, intel core 2 quad Q9400, and 4 GB of RAM

some things seem to of been cut or not made it to the final product, which unfortunately includes bots that someone got working on the alpha
Be aware that on PC, at least for me, it just CTDs randomly after only an hour of gameplay.
Oh I wouldn't mind.
Anything's better than FPS games on consoles to me.
Not that it was awful or anything, but PC just takes the whole cake in that regard.
There's an FOV slider in the Video options... Are you patched up to date? I think it might've been an option added in one of those
That explains a lot.
Sadly, it wasn't my ps4 or my game, it was from a Media Markt store with a PS4 on display. The store probably doesn't update the game at all.
[editline]3rd June 2016[/editline]
The FOV Slider only affects your actual view. It doesn't change the big fucking guns.
Yes, but it at least makes it so that I see a bit more than a doorway's length of stuff and not feel like everything is literaly a step away from me :v:

Alright what the fuck, my space hulk map is broken in coop.
The host gets stuck at 99%, then everybody gets stuck at 91% and drops.
So basically, the whole reason i made the map in the first place is wasted since you can't do coop.

New Wolfenstein games instantly CTD
I wish they would do something about the 700 series cards issue. Have they even said anything about it?

Currently i'm making maps for world 4, every world has 4-5 levels, i want to make 8 worlds.
It'll take a while but it'll be worth it i swear, currently there's like 3 hours of gameplay with 17 maps

Can 2 or more ppl give this a shot?
Space Hulk coop test
C7EEU4AW
I can't test it ATM, anybody who has some time and a few friends to test with give this modified version a shot just to see if it'll even load with 2 or more players and let me know.
Keep in mind I broke one of the alternative objectives so if it works, if you loose player 2 you can't complete the mission, I want to see if it was my logic breaking the map.
I tried playing DoomOne with Project Brutality.
I'm about halfway through and my framerate has slowed to a crawl. Is there a way to clear all decals in a level with a console command or something.
I need to continue my murderous rampage
Edit:
Game has almost completely stopped.
2 much murder confirmed
Look in Project Brutality options, there's a janitor setting that will remove gibs and blood after a while.
I decided to pick this up finally after seeing so many positive reactions and reviews about it. I only played to the end of the second level, but fuck me this game is doing it right.
I picked it up on PS4, and the performance is amazing, and you can change the level of motion blur, and the FOV, which should be an option for most games to be honest.

What kind of weapons are there this time around, I kind of feel there were quite a few underpowered ones in the first one.
