Well, at least it doesn't look as awful as NAM.
Appearances can be very, very decieving.
I can't wait for the MIDI renditions of DOOM 16's OST.
Still the best.
This is the weirdest soundtrack I've ever heard. Did they record at that speed?
Chances are they probably had the regular sounding "Dan 81" then fucked around with that. [editline]7th June 2016[/editline] 49:57 into the video.
i think it sounds like 'danny won' [sp]yeeaah[/sp]
And it does a damn good job of sounding creepy too.
I wonder if Aubrey did the same thing for any of Doom 64's tracks, especially seeing as it's actually using the hardware of the N64 to play the music with the sampled noises and such rather than the CD tracks of Playstation Doom.
I seriously think it's a promo for a small local radio station they had and it's "10.81"
also sounds like table tennis in the background

The idea is to fix bugs and glaring design flaws, ranging from sloppily done areas to issues concerning flow. E1M4 is included as a sample and the changes made are listed in the text file. Homes to be improved are: E1M4 E1M9 E2M3 E2M4 E2M9 Basically all of E3 Let me know if there's anything in particular you'd like to see. There is a map in Plutonia 2 where most of its paths arent blocked by pillars or key doors. Its essentially a giant complex and all of the main rooms are accessible through so many ways its ludicrous. There are so many ways to clear the map, its really entertaining. Remember the backtracking discussion? I think this is a prime example of making a map explorable. As long as you remember where the switches are because yesterday while playing I couldnt remember the location of the red key switch. Plutonia 2 has some interesting level design.
We should make a strawpoll on which is the absolute worst map in doom 2 and see what the results are for fun, just toss every map on the list and see which one gets the most votes for 'worst'

There was a lot strange pitching that seemed doable on the N64 and reminiscent of tracker music.

Just need a cowboy hat to go with it.
Can I vote entirety of "episode 2" of Doom 2?
It doesn't get worse than The Chasm. It seriously feels like a babby's first Doom map.
It doesn't get worse than The Chasm. It seriously feels like a babby's first Doom map.
I actually liked Chasm, expect for the inescapable death pit in the end, seriously, it's not that deep that it screams "don't fall or you'll die".
The Chasm's alright by me, it's pretty straightforward. The one I can't stand is Downtown, because it always ends in me wandering around for an hour looking for that one key I can never find.
I kind of wish more of Hell in DOOM '16 ended up looking like it did in the concept art. That Bloodkeep concept art with the black stone everywhere and blood and lava pouring from the massive skull tower is one of my favorite pieces. Don't get me wrong, I love this game's interpretation of Hell, and I think the levels that are there look perfect, but I feel like there was an overall lack of red, lava filled, mind-fuckery. I also kind of wish there were actual Castles too. Like, the big, ominous fortresses and castles you walk up on in DOOM 64. [sp]Argent D'nur[/sp] was probably my favorite Hell level visually. It just felt like balls to the wall classic hell. Giant skull doors, castle and cathedral like architecture, and it just had this overall grand feeling of "Holy fuck, This place is massive. And fucked up. And I'm really in some deep shit, aren't I?"
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/uN2phdA.png[/thumb] I can't stop.

I'm really surprised the new DOOM didn't have a single area that was like a Sandy Peterson equivalent. The closest it got was scaling the [sp]Argent Tower.[/sp]
I seriously think it's a promo for a small local radio station they had and it's "10.81"
i dont know why but i did some research into this and apparently the voice is a sound from another game according to the composer in an interview. Not mine, but boy I wish I had made this :v:
