So today I learned if you find a snapmap that promises to give you a ton of snap points in 3 seconds, it actually works. I figured I'd share this information because I seriously wasn't actually expecting it to be that easy.

First attempt at a weapon (or rather, modding at all) in DOOM. Next weapon will hopefully have more bells and whistles like smoke and shells, more animation frames and an overall cooler concept. Fun project for the past few days though.

Reminder of the differences between GOG and Steam:
-Quake 1 and 2 on GOG includes a soundtrack. Although due to the copyright issues for Quake 1 soundtrack you are required to burn the disk image or put it into the virtual disk and there are 3 disk images available. CUE files for main game and Mission Pack 2 have a bad sheet but can be [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/quake_series/quake_the_offering_incorrect_cue_sheets/post15]easily fixed[/url]. In case of Quake 2 it works but it won't loop. Just apply the [url=http://www.markshan.com/knightmare/downloads/quake2-3.24-win32.zip]Unofficial 3.24 patch[/url] from Knightmare and follow it's readme file to know which OGG track ya should copy for main game and mission packs.
-GOG version of Final Doom has the "No yellow key in MAP31" bug fixed
-GOG version of Quake 2 includes a customizeable launcher created by GOG Team themselves. Just don't forget to include it's game ID and Q2Launcher.ini in command prompt if you want to add it as a Non-Steam game.
EDIT: All of them have their expansions included with the exception of ROTCW since it's a separate game.

so has anyone else noticed in doom 2016 multiplayer you can fire the plasma gun 2-3 times faster with a mouse macro? its damn near game breaking as long as you have ammo :v:

if you slow the video down to 0.25 you can see the huge difference between using a macro and just holding the fire button.
EDIT:
since razer synapse heavily relies on high framerates for consistent macro execution, i bet if i turn down my video settings to low i can get an even higher fire rate :excited:

lowering the delay between presses and increased framerate seem to remove the effect, 0.009 seconds seems like the sweet spot between mouse presses, which comes out to about 6.6K RPM, assuming each shot does ~6 damage if you hit all your shots you can do 666 dps
You know the first thing that's gonna happen once we get the server browser and the custom/private match modes, is that someone's gonna make a server where they just crank every possible variable up to a million.

Like I will literally only start replaying it once they either remove that, or nerf it so hard nobody would touch it with a 10 foot pole.

So, i've given DOOM a fair try I have a feeling. I haven't touched SnapMap⢠yet, I just don't really have the creative spark for it. So, DOOM's singleplayer I had a ton of fun with. And am currently redoing on Ultra-Violence. Hoo boy, those fucking Security guys are a pain in the ass with their shields that absorb fifty AR rounds. But then you just saw the fuckers in half with a Chainsaw. The Brutal Doom esque takedowns don't seem to take away that much from the flow of the game. They last like two seconds at absolute most, except for bosses. Which bosses IMO should be these brutal, drawn out death animations.
Now, the multiplayer. Holy shit the multiplayer. I don't know if i'm just bad, or i'm too stupid to comprehend the fundimentals, but what the fuck.
The Lightning Gun is ridiculously OP. I try to run away from it because electricity, but it has a FUCKING REACH GREATER THEN A SHOTGUN. A REACH THAT OF WHICH THE PLASMA RIFLE COULD ADMIRE. IT HAS PROBABLY THE SECOND HIGHEST REACH RIGHT NEXT TO THE FUCKING VORTEX RIFLE. AND IT KILLS YOU IN TWO SECONDS. THIS IS THE SHOCK+CROSSBOW FROM BIOSHOCK 2 LEVELS OF BULLSHIT. WHAT THE FUCK.
The Vortex Rifle as well. Now that i've collected myself, the Vortex Rifle feels extremely out of place, and extremely cheap. You can literally run full speed ahead while fully charged, and instantly nuke someone, or get into a position where you can nuke them when they're at 20 HP with the fucking Zeus Cannon. Bordering on levels of an Atom Bomb in terms of how OP it is if used correctly, and assuming your opponent doesn't pull a BFG out of his ass, or you have two enemies gang bang you with Combat Shotguns from behind two seconds after they spawn in.
That's another thing. It genuinely seems like the enemies spawn behind you. One second they're there, the next after you barely escape with a teleporter they're somehow magically right in front of you, sometimes you'll even spawn directly in an enemies sightline. I have observed this myself, having someone legitimately spawn in front of me, without already looking at me.
Although this is more me being a dumbshit then the game itself, but it always seems like those damned Super Weapons are nowhere to be found except in the hands of the enemy. I haven't seen a Chainsaw yet, but when I do i'm going to re-enact this video.

Alright, this map is kinda done.
I just need to do some more decorating, plus getting new song since the one I initially picked got old and was bit too short.
I also gotta check the enemy positioning, it is bit annoying, but I think there is fun in the openness of it.
