You can't be serious. :suicide:
I'm actually surprised at the number of things that actually kinda put me off (Which are me just being nostalgic), The rerecording of Rebecca's lines, the power conduit animation is so flashy and will get old really quickly, the clunkiness of combat with the pipe, it looks like I can out maneuver mutants with ease, the Sparq Beam doesn't have any apparent adjustable power, and right now it looks to powerful for the number of shots it took to kill the enemies. The keypads and circuit panels being within the gameworld than a pop up interface also bugs me too. I miss the techno music, and while I'll accept a new soundtrack, I'd appreciate it still feeling like music rather than just tense background strings. The text popup for every interaction felt so unnecessary, no shit I just opened a door. And where are my audio logs? I know it's a demo but at least the implication would be nice.
It's just a demo yes I know, but some things really kinda irked me. I really like the faithful designs everything has, and while the graphics aren't groundbreaking it still looks good. Hopefully we'll get some mod tools, even if it's just level creation.
Hello! I talked about some of those concerns in the video forum thread: https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1524732&p=50608447&viewfull=1#post50608447
Polygon managed to make Doom look bad, so I'm not surprised they didn't do a good job presenting System Shock. I'm okay with no techno music, to be honest I ended up turning the music off in both SS games because it pulled me right out of the tense atmosphere. I'd rather have dark ambient or creepy noises in the background.

The SS games had a seriously bizarre sense of what music to use. I'm not sure why they decided to go with this creepy sci-fi horror atmosphere with malfunctioning robots and cyborgs and ghosts and then have this as the background music

Thank god, we finally have a launch date for the patch.

Hm, could be a little lower, but I'm guessing they're lining them up with the crosshair.

Yeah, I thought that too. They were lower in the original games because vertical aiming obviously wasn't that prevalent yet, so it didn't really matter how high the sprite was. It would be nice if we had more options for the viewmodel, but I assume that would take quite a bit of scripting and coding to move it around the screen.
Hey, at least we got this. It's a cool feature.
I thought it looked kinda weird too, but in the distance you can see an imp dying.
Maybe they took the photo in the end of the firing animation?

Soundtrack was a major factor in making System shock 2 as good as it is. Med Sci 1 is such a tense track that fits the almost constant chases and alerts inexperienced players will get into.

[sp]Computing with Style
Sitting Duck
Marked for Death
Tenderizing the Crops
Motion in the Explosion[/sp]
Are there descriptions for them?

Tried it, backed it. Definitely worth the investment.
I would back if I could. The demo has atmosphere that is just oozing and pouring out of every which way.
I bought Doom while its on sale and tried some multiplayer today. Didn't find any matches in TDM, only managed to get one in one of the mode rotations. Is mp already dead or something?

Highly unlikely since there's 7'500 players active at the moment. They can't all be playing Singleplayer or Snapmap.
It's probably just the usual case of the matchmaking system fucking up.

Buddy of mine made a guide that might be able to help you resolve the issue.

Another one. Bit tysony, be warned. Still bit unbalanced, especially last encounter might be unbalanced.
It didn't turn out as well as I hoped. Oh well...

It looks so similar to the classic pistol from that angle, I love it.
I finished the game yesterday, other than the hell guard being a completely bullshit boss fight it sort of was good.
The game just kind of fell apart in the last few levels which didn't have any real narrative and we're just repeatedly massive ambushes
I don't understand people's issues with hell guard, I beat him first try and had no issues at all. It's just a really basic pattern.
SS: Remastered's demo is pretty good. I'm liking the music so far and the visuals are great. Feels a little clunky but what do you expect, it's pre-alpha.
I might actually pledge to this, my first Kickstarter ever. Let's hope we don't get burned on this one :v:
It looks so similar to the classic pistol from that angle, I love it.
It has a pretty similar look even without the angle. It seems to basically be a futuristic Beretta M9, which is what the original pistol was based on.
the System Shock demo was really really cool. At this stage it's already showing a huge huge amount of promise, I hope it turns out well.

The weird part too is that I think it's relatively quiet and creepy before the combat music starts playing and then you get weird techno.
I hope they don't remove the techno music entirely, honestly. It's cheesy as fuck and kind of out of place, but it's still very much a part of the game. Maybe it shouldn't play as much, but it should still exist in some form.

I abused that infinite ammo rune and killed him in a couple minutes, since I dodged all his attacks and never lost armor.
