appearently the centered shotgun has a pumping animation similar to the classic shotgun going by this, the SSG will most likely have a classic anim too [editline]29th June 2016[/editline]
I abused that infinite ammo rune and killed him in a couple minutes, since I dodged all his attacks and never lost armor.
i never found that rune i was planning on getting it, starting a new game plus, and going W+M1 with the mobile turret chaingun
i want too see all the centered models before release so excited
I hope they don't remove the techno music entirely, honestly. It's cheesy as fuck and kind of out of place, but it's still very much a part of the game. Maybe it shouldn't play as much, but it should still exist in some form.
It kind of gives the game character. System Shock 2 isn't really a straight-up horror game. It's like the Aliens to SS1's Alien.
The weird part too is that I think it's relatively quiet and creepy before the combat music starts playing and then you get weird techno.
When that initially happened to me i was really confused. I thought some youtube video had autoplayed in the background or something
It kind of gives the game character. System Shock 2 isn't really a straight-up horror game. It's like the Aliens to SS1's Alien.
SS2 is still fucking terrifying, though. Midwives are probably the worst.
Apparently System Shock's OST is actually made up of lots of remixes of classic songs. Kind of Mick Gordon style where you can find points in the song here and there and go, "Hey, I remember that!". https://twitter.com/jonathanperos/status/747644558184452096 Really need to download that demo. Looks amazing.
SS: Remastered's demo is pretty good. I'm liking the music so far and the visuals are great. Feels a little clunky but what do you expect, it's pre-alpha. I might actually pledge to this, my first Kickstarter ever. Let's hope we don't get burned on this one :v:
I seriously doubt they can fuck up as much as Mighty No. 9 did. This game already looks better in it's alpha stage than Inafune's train wreck of a game.
So I bought the game. I probably shouldn't be surprised by that considering I dealt with it once already with Fallout 4 but I still hate the fact that even if you buy a retail version, you still have to download 45GB. It's such a bullshit, they might as well give me the box with no disc and Steam key on a piece of paper inside. Now I have to wait 8 hours before I can even play the damn thing. I am not blaming the game or iD, because I know this is just Bethesda and their retarded approach to pretty much everything but stuff like this will never stop annoying me, especially considering this is supposed to be the SOLUTION for people with slow/limited internet access. /rant Either way, can't wait till I play this thing, it seems really good from what I saw so yay!

What you've heard so far in the demo is really just the atmospheric expository part; later on the new soundtrack will incorporate more electronic elements, and maybe even some throwbacks to the leitmotifs from the old songs [editline]29th June 2016[/editline]
It kind of gives the game character.
I don't understand people's issues with hell guard, I beat him first try and had no issues at all. It's just a really basic pattern.
It's not that I had trouble beating him it's just for a game that had fast paced fights, I didn't really think a boss fight about waiting and kiting was all that good, then following it up with another pair of bosses was just bullshit especially when they were not nearly as hard to kill as the 1st and the last boss fight was again not really fitting with the combat of the game They just all didn't feel particularly good. The cyberdaemon boss fight was what a boss fight should have been, fastish pace, somewhat challenging, and not based around a bullshit gimic move like the shield With the platforming and glory kills they should have done something more like shadow of collosius where you would have had to blow off portions of the armor, rip them off glory kill then their damage intake gets much greater.
https://bethesda.net/#en/events/game/doom-update-1-coming-june-30th/2016/06/28/152 Centered viewmodels like in the original DOOM!
Wait, when is the game going to get the new MP modes and snapmap updates? It isn't listed in the changelog.
Wait, when is the game going to get the new MP modes and snapmap updates? It isn't listed in the changelog.
"Later this summer". This is just the first major patch, adding a few toys alongside cleaning up the issues from release.
I don't understand people's issues with hell guard, I beat him first try and had no issues at all. It's just a really basic pattern.
The only thing that annoys me about the Hell Guard is watching people fight it cause they never shoot it's charge up.

I know with some games, like New Vegas, you can force it to install from the Disc, I don't remember how
Is there anything on the Disc at all? I know with some games, like New Vegas, you can force it to install from the Disc, I don't remember how
If memory serves right the disc has like 5 gigs on it and then you'll need to download the rest. Which is dumb as all hell and defeats the purpose of buying physical copies of PC games
The purpose is that, at least here, it's cheaper than digital. I just bought DOOM for 22 euro yesterday, it's the standard price at Media Markt. 27 for an UAC edition with some silly tat attached.
The purpose of buying a physical copy is to have a physical copy, it looks nice.
I seriously doubt they can fuck up as much as Mighty No. 9 did. This game already looks better in it's alpha stage than Inafune's train wreck of a game.
Well, Mighty Number 9's prototype looked billion times better than the final result.
Well, Mighty Number 9's prototype looked billion times better than the final result.
That one promotional shot where everything is hand-drawn still hurts to look at now. That was so damn good looking.
Well, Mighty Number 9's prototype looked billion times better than the final result.
I don't think many games are comparable to MN9, tbh. This doesn't have the huge hype, big-name developer, or millions of dollars of budget (and an enormous amount of stretch goals) that MN9 had, plus they're launching the kickstarter with something playable instead of saying "We'll make the game once we have the money" like MN9.
That one promotional shot where everything is hand-drawn still hurts to look at now. That was so damn good looking.
Even the like three seconds of footage from that Unreal Engine version looked better than the final product.
Holy fuck centered weapons look great. They've even re-created the original Shotgun cocking animation.

To be honest that looks more satisfying an animation than the vanilla setup. I'll definitely give it a try when it comes out tomorrow.
can't wait for the chaingun's turret mode in centered form!
I don't understand people's issues with hell guard, I beat him first try and had no issues at all. It's just a really basic pattern.
I can see how some people struggle with it but it's like you said, it's a pattern. As soon as one figures it out it becomes very much doable!
Holy fuck centered weapons look great. I mean granted, the original shotgun sprite was basically a pipe with sights and a hand but still
I mean granted, the original shotgun sprite was basically a pipe with sights and a hand but still
AFAIK it was a image of a plastic toy shotgun.
And the plasma rifle is the back of some other toy gun. The chainsaw is (AFAIK) romero's leaky chainsaw. They had to put it into a bucket to stop it from leaking gas all over the floor
The plasma gun was the handguard to a plastic toy M60 flipturned around.
