Boy howdy is the multiplayer in this boring. The weapon designs (CHAINGUN) basically eliminate the fun jumping and mantling that could result of the nice map design and powerups.
Samuel Hayden did nothing wrong.
He's not the villain in this story. [sp]*slight wretch*[/sp]
I wonder what will happen to the [sp] backup of Vega Mr doomandgloom has[/SP]
I did this for gun contest
DEPRIVATOR What if you could stick that ganky blowtube of a monster arm back at his own mouth soo that he could shoot himself? UAC plasma grab tool comes in handy when you are dealing with demonic hordes rather than mining some argent minerals. Now whenever you see energy ball flying at your direction its time to play catch, with that ball. Capture the projectile with chunky scoops and let your gun digest the charge, then fire it back at bastard! If you are really hungry, suck on some additional charges before blasting faces, but be careful, mixing up various ingridients (like hellish plasma and toxic goop) might lead to a rather explosive result for your gun's stomack! Is it bad? Is it a feature? WHO CARES! At the end of a day if you're out of options just get intimatelly closer to enemy and chop away their bits'n' bites with Deprivator's maw - that's right, take their bullets AND bodyparts they use to shoot at you!!
That plum wine hits me hard on inspiration deck.
I just wrote about using the Cyberdemon's arm as a weapon. I'm not very original.
So where does Doom 4 fit in the overall timeline of the series? [sp]It's pretty obvious that the Doomguy we play as is the original one, considering the technology in the Praetor suit. But the original invasions are never mentioned. Is this just a different dimension from the original games?[/sp]
I went ahead and wrote my own weapon for the contest. I may have gone a bit overboard.
Damn, I don't even think I wanna enter the contest if shit like this is what I'm going up against. Mine is barely a description and is probably shitty. I don't even have a name for mine yet, just a short description. :v:
That's a good question. I decided to do both with mine; I should have added that falling from large heights creates a lot of momentum and would encourage wielders to climb up higher to kill tougher demons from down below. :v:
Soooo?
I still like how the BFG gave you a room to experience it after getting it.
I wandered into that room, started shooting with the Assault Rifle, then figured out they wanted me to use the BFG. I still didn't bother and just shot everything with the rifle anyway.
need help on late game mission. On [sp]I am Vega[/sp] I can't get past the arena where [sp]you destroy his 4 cooling systems.[/sp] I destroy all 4 and kill all the enemies but the music keeps playing and I cannot leave the room.
How the hell do I re-equip the BFG? Its not in the weapon wheel
How the hell do I re-equip the BFG? Its not in the weapon wheel
Press T.
an ai is either stuck inside of something like a wall or prop and cant get to you, or fell through the map and now you have to restart your checkpoint
already did that and sames result. ugh
I wandered into that room, started shooting with the Assault Rifle, then figured out they wanted me to use the BFG. I still didn't bother and just shot everything with the rifle anyway.
I actually didn't realize I was supposed to use it there. My shotgun grenades eviscerated the hordes like the explosive barrel fun in E1M8. Meant I could save my BFG for the Barons, though. :v:
I wish you could place corpses as props in snapmap. There's plenty from SP they could have given us. [editline]19th May 2016[/editline] And while we're at it, let us manually place decals too so we can bloody the place up.
where do i check out doomguys? i found the [sp]vault-boy[/sp] and want to inspect it at closer detail.
weapon commissions..?
SUPER CHAINSWORD A powerful sword with motorized teeth. Masterfully crafted sword, so it's speculated to may have been secretly developed on Mars, unbeknownst to UAC. The sword bears engravings of hatred towards all demons, and the devotion to their annihilation so extreme and fanatical, that the weapon and its wielder cannot be corrupted by the powers of Hell. In combat, the angry buzzing-sounds of the sword's resentful engine competes with the screams of demons.
:tried:
where do i check out doomguys? i found the [sp]vault-boy[/sp] and want to inspect it at closer detail.
Main campaign menu->collectibles
I adapted my E1M1 for deathmatch and added the outside armor area 44QY2JP2 if you want to try it, or search E1M1 deathmatch
Yeah, that song:
Don't forget the version made for the denizens of hell to listen to.
So I bought the retail version for PC but I'm going to guess there is still a 20GB download or something after installing from the disc.
So I bought the retail version for PC but I'm going to guess there is still a 20GB download or something after installing from the disc.
You get 6GB of the download. The rest of the 55GB has to be downloaded digitally. (though for my preload it was 43.8GB and when it finished it didn't unpack, so I guess it unpacked mid-install at launch and 43.8GB is the more accurate number)
So I submitted a weapon:
Argent Thermal Lance Construction tool on long shaft that uses Agent plasma to reach the ultra-high temperatures needed to weld some of the more exotic materials used in UAC facilities repurposed as a weapon. The basic attack holds the lance out in front of you doing very high damage, though leaving you somewhat vulnerable in it's limited range of effectiveness. The first weapon mod will temporarily overcharge the lance causing it to arc to up to 3 nearby targets, with upgrades increasing duration, increasing arc range, increasing damage, and finally causing targets killed by the arc to have a greater chance to drop health and ammo. The second mod will cause Doomguy to hurl the lance into an enemy doing both a large amount of initial damage as well as heavy damage over time. The lance could then either be recalled to your hand by using secondary fire again, or picked up manually for a reduced cooldown. The upgrades for this mod would increase throwing range and speed, increase burn damage, reduce cooldown, and lastly, cause any enemies killed by the thrown lance explode for massive damage and set nearby enemies alight.
I'm finding the huge leap you take towards enemies to do a simple melee attack is pretty baloney at times. Like, I literally have died twice on Ultra-Nightmare because I went directly past the enemy I wanted to hit, and their melee attack hits me before I can do anything.
Why not a rocket launcher that shoots out a fist on a spring?
CTD three times so far in the story. First was after a Mancubus killed me and crashed as I restarted the checkpoint. Second was in the middle of a fight when I shot a Gauss gun at a Baron of Hell. Third was shooting the BFG at a Cacodemon. Also got stuck three times, the first two I was able to escape by shooting with the gauss rifle to get a boost, last one was at VEGA Processing where I got jammed under the lift at the end as it was docking, couldn't gauss jump out of it, had to restart the checkpoint. Gauss jumping is pretty neat though, managed to skip past a bunch of stuff and enter areas the wrong way sometimes, or getting to high up areas. Honestly playing the game there were a lot of side areas you could get to with careful jumping that looked perfect for a secret to be at but ended up being barren, like walking up those huge chains.
Gave it a shot:
Union Aerospace engineering is proud to present the all-new Helionizer. This prototype weapon harnesses the power of nanomachines to provide the ultimate in unarmored destruction. With its patented Vonneumann drive, this weapon launches a swarm of nanomachines that, when in contact with organic material, converts flesh to hydrogen rapidly. Roughly 300 nanoseconds after conversion the nanites detonate the hydrogen. This triggers an immense explosion from within the body. Armor, weapons, implants, and any other inorganic material is flung forth as shrapnel - spreading the nanomachines to all nearby foes. The integrated IFF system has a 76.8% chance of preventing the nanomachines from consuming the user.
