3A is working on a sixth-scale Doom 4 Marine. It was announced back in May, and there hasn't been any news since the 20th of that same month, but I'm still sure it's coming. Hell, Sideshow Toys got the Evil Dead 2 license a few years ago, and they just unveiled their Ash figure a couples months ago.
It'll probably be pricey, but I'm just excited to get a Doom figure of some sort.
Redid this with better lighting, and revamped the positioning of the barrel a little.

Eh, I don't know if I'd count that as a true speedrun. It looks like he mostly just glitched through a lot of areas.

So you haven't watched speedruns often then.

Sure. Just let me know which format you want me to send it in, and of course credit me in the readme file.

I love 'doom for doom' and all the effort that's gone into it but the originality of your project has gotten me even more intrigued.

Glitchless speedruns are their own category. Normally you can do anything the game allows you to.
Can you play through Doom 4 start to finish with all the upgrades, or does it kick you to level select when you beat a mission?
Just wondering of a New Game+ run of Doom 4 would be any faster then a fresh run.
Side note, there is going to be a Plutonia Experiment Ultra-Violence speed run Wednesday on Summer Games Done quick, at 8:30PM eastern.

I wonder who the main villain of the next Wolfenstein game will be. Frau Engel perhaps?
outlaws is a fun game
Bound to be Frau Engel. Lady has a vendetta against Blazko after he ripped Bubi a new one.
Speaking of Wolf, here is a speedrun of TNO by the same guy as that Doom run, less glitching in this, though there are still some skips

If you want to see a really glitchy Doom 4 run, here is a NG+ with all the upgrades, Double Jump is broken (you can also use the Gauss Rifle to jump?)

There's different kinds. I've seen ones where people glitch mechanics in the game, but that's different from going under the levels. I view it more as different kinds of glitches; glitching the recoil from a game to move faster or sliding along walls in a certain way to get more speed is different from just breaking the level geometry. It's not *bad*, I just personally don't really think of it as a clean speedrun.
The ones where you break the physics like in HL2 are the best, surfing the train at the beginning is always amazing

"Gordon, the Vortigaunts said you were here. I can't believe you made it so quickly on the foot!"
*flashbacks of Gordon flying over the entire Route Canal and Water Hazard on a single pallet*
Foot, yeah.
I prefer glitchless speed runs, it feels more legitimate to me.

Get ready to pay over $200 for him then. 3A has amazing quality, but the prices are crazy high.
Just a PNG will do. Thanks!
No prob. Check your PMs.

Yeah, that was pretty much my only point.

The Opposing Force one is fun to watch, where he just flies past people before they can finish talking. He does some crazy aiming on his jumps too.

$200 is nothing compared to a lot of other figures.

I wanna see Mecha Hitler Heil-of-doom someone's head off for insubordination.
i finally finished doom 4 and the most surprising thing about it was that the final boss was a lot easier than the cyberdemon
also how good it was at making me really motionsick
I wanna see Mecha Hitler Heil-of-doom someone's head off for insubordination.
Go and watch Danger 5 on Netflix or whatever. He kills several of his henchmen. Not just lackeys, full on, historical, high-ranking SS officers.
Hitler is like the best part of the show.
No prob. Check your PMs.
Awesome, thank you very much!
When I decided to install and play Quake 3 Arena after getting for the sale, I found out that you could soft-crash the game by selecting a bunch of character thumbnails for the player options. The character preview would eventually turn into a text that said "low memory" before you got to the point were it crashed.
As someone who didn't have this issue with UT99's player setup, this was so fucking bizarre to me. Was this common with other late-90s computer games or what?
Also, does anyone know a good place to get Quake mods and maps?
