A guy named [URL="http://www.facepunch.com/members/112075-Jookia"]Jookia[/URL] actually remade DarkRP for Blockland, naming it CityRP. Originally he hosted it by himself on his own server, and never left the server up without proper admins, therefore making it a good gamemode. One of the key features that differed it from DarkRP, was that players built their own houses since it is indeed a building game, instead of buying doors.

Then he released the mod to the public and he was berated and excluded from the community because the mod was "bad".

That's like not playing Garry's Mod because DarkRP exists. That's stupid logic. It's not impossible to, you know, [i]not[/i] play on shitty servers? Hosting for yourself on Blockland is extremely easy, or hook up with friends.

I know it's easy, I used to host a lot which got around this problem easily, but it's just discouraging to play when there are a lot of shitty servers, and people for that matter. It's like, I can't host some fun mini-game without it being filled with idiots. Also, I'd love to play some Blockland right now if you're hosting.

at it's core it's really something like Lego Creator on steroids. and multiplayer. with guns.

You act above and beyond everyone around you, as if you don't have time for anyone or anything but your own shit despite hosting a public server for everyone to play on.

You whip up a couple of blocky models, hand them over to someone who actually has the alleged IQ points that you lose while playing this game, and boom. You have now dominated the Weapons section and made playing Deathmatches little to no fun. The reload animations are bland, the weapons are unbalanced, and the models are too large for the player.

All the original TBM devs are long gone, now the mod is run by some other guy (Dshiznit, I think. Seemed like an idiot when I still played TBM in like 2006. He made sex poses for the minifigs). He renamed it "The Better Game" (or The Orange Block, forgot). It's still around and vaguely populated.

Pretty much, I think. It still runs on the old Blocklandv0002 code, which was the last free version before Blockland went retail.
