About the headcrab killing in one hit, I don't remember if it was intended because they were inspired by the FaceHugers of Alien.
Have anyone tried replacing the skybox of Quarry into night/dark ones? Because the concept art shows it during the day, even though in that period it should have been under Air Exchange's influence too. I'm interested to see what would happen if every level of HL2 is dark and murky, but with enough lighting too.

Is it true that the monster_alien_assault entity in the 0.52 alpha is really the Vortigaunt? Even the model folder names it islave.
So, uh... [t]http://i.imgur.com/grdsfvM.png[/t] This is the oldest crowbar from SDK files. Asking for textures from "QuiverArt" folder. It has several animation files, pretty generic ones... but they have no bones. They are vertex animations, which means this crowbar was made for pure Quake engine.

the texture is called crusty4.bmp, even though the .max file itself looks for Crusty4.tga the texture is identical to a texture used in game, generic012 [editline]28th July 2015[/editline] also, it looks like the 0.52 alpha crowbar but with a shitty texture and no bones for anybody interested, the 2 files that i know its in are "crowbarpry1" and "crowbarpry2". there's probably more though. on an related note, that's most likely the oldest model we have from half-life

Has anybody ported a fully working bullsquid? It was apparently fully ported it trough there was one guy who recently included it in a prop pack as a joke but it wasn't actually able to move (i know why i just forgot the term for it). Ironically enough the beta sound effects where used in practically every mod in existence that contains a bullsquid. Also i would like to see the zombie assassin rigged to the alien assassin's animations. Would have wanted to do that myself if i got crowbar to actually compile something.

He did have a Bullsquid ragdoll and he gave it to me, but my computer had been cleaned later in the year, so I'll ask him for it again maybe.

What are some of the exemplar American City 17 maps from the leak? I want to study them so my city maps won't end up like Doom 2's "city" levels.

Also, final monster_generic code still has a comment referencing this demo.

How does one compile the wc mappack maps in such a way that will retain their lighting and not turn them fullbright?
