Please lets not start this!, the beta has been the biggest source of HL2 argument ive ever seen lol.
Hahaha! Are you serious?
Hey man, I'm not saying you're a lesser man for it. I'm just saying you should at least own up to what you did. A guy found a thing and you jumped in and was like "Well yeah but we found it first!" That's kinda lame man. Speaking on topic now: I always thought that Vertigo is an underrated section. Not sure how many of you guys know about these image archives we've build during development so I guess I'll just drop a few links. All images are ordered chronologically meaning the oldest ones are at the bottom and the newest at the top. Questions about any of the images, feel free to link to them and ask. I'll answer everything :)
Ah, those are very cool! How much of that stuff was ever released?
why everyone in this thread use the half-life wikia instead of combineoverwiki ? :(
[img_thumb]http://slkandy.com/filez/hl2mp_test4/c17_archetype0022.png[/img_thumb] Heh, v_Rocket_Launcher, you kinda need to fix the origin.
Ah, those are very cool! How much of that stuff was ever released?
Very little actually. A lot of it was merely just to test certain things.
why everyone in this thread use the half-life wikia instead of combineoverwiki ? :(
I guess too few know about the new domain. Old bookmarks perhaps? For everyone else The Combine OverWiki is now located at http://combineoverwiki.net/wiki/Main_Page :)
[img_thumb]http://slkandy.com/filez/hl2mp_test4/c17_archetype0022.png[/img_thumb] Heh, v_Rocket_Launcher, you kinda need to fix the origin.
We just converted it to a v37 model, that's it :P Not even sure why because the model is so ugly.
Valve said it's OK to make public things out of cut content as long as it doesn't use code from Source 2003 (That is a mess anyway), but the MI team didn't gave permission to reuse their content however, simple as that, it's not about being selfish
THANK YOU! People don't realize how many hours that were put into converting all those models. These were converted before we had a decompiler for old models. Is a little recognition really too much to ask for?
Valve said it's OK to make public things out of cut content as long as it doesn't use code from Source 2003 (That is a mess anyway), but the MI team didn't gave permission to reuse their content however, simple as that, it's not about being selfish
I was referring to the gasmask model thing that one guy discovered and ScarT there looked like he was trying to steal the fame. I was not talking about MI's content.
We just converted it to a v37 model, that's it :P Not even sure why because the model is so ugly.
I could see that because mine has the same origin, or very similar [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/38SVr.png[/img_thumb]
I could see that because mine has the same origin, or very similar [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/38SVr.png[/img_thumb]
Where did you get that model? I have one but it has some weird errors.
Where did you get that model? I have one but it has some weird errors.
I got it from biodude, and he got it from someone else. I've asked him if I can publicly release it along with another patched weapon. [editline]5th June 2013[/editline] Also, does anyone realize that the missing male_06 from the beta is in the retail SDK? I always thought this was obvious and does anyone know that the beta SLAM is in the anon-hl2/temp folder?

I don't have that folder in any of my leaks. Is that the full path?
Whats special about the missing model? does he have different clothes or something??
He's unwrapped to the old citizen clothes instead of the retail ones. That's it. There's nothing special about compared to the leaked models except the different head.
Whats special about the missing model? does he have different clothes or something??
Nothing is special about it, it's just male_06(Sandro) on the beta citizen body. Only thing special about it is that it isn't found in the beta. GIVE ME A CLOCK, SCART BEAT ME TO IT.
He's unwrapped to the old citizen clothes instead of the retail ones. That's it. There's nothing special about compared to the leaked models except the different head.
That is interesting actually.
http://www.moddb.com/mods/missing-informationspecial-edition What is this malarkey?
anon-hl2/temp? I don't have that folder in any of my leaks. Is that the full path?
A lot of it's dated from 2006 and 2008 but the slam is dated 2003
Use prop_dynamic_override. Even though the static box is checked, a physics prop can never be static. valvelogic.avi. Use this type of prop that allows physics props to be used as static.
Better use prop_physics, check the Motion Disable flag, and on the minimum damage to hurt, put it an elevated amount like 9999. Behaves nearly a prop_static, but it costs less on the entdata than a prop_dynamic. Also remember, use only the prop_*_override only if is truly necessary, since it raises a lot the entdata, and reduces the performance. Also: http://slkandy.com/filez/HL2/mdledit.png Your team finally were able to open and see the zombie version of the Alien Assassin model, ScarT? Excelent. It has animations?

Why doesnt yours have textures??

Oh my! The only thing that made sense to me was the AR-1 fixed by J-Man.
Oh my! The only thing that made sense to me was the AR-1 fixed by J-Man.
No matter what I do, I just get that.
Sinbce everybody here is talking about models, Im in need of a model which is missing from everything I got. c17_citizen_minimal Basically, its the Stenographers Chasm citizen model. Anyone has it?
No. It doesn't exist anywhere outside Valve. I think its the Factory Worker model if I'm not mistaken.
No, this was just a test model slkandy used. We've opened the files ages before this (around 2006/2007?). I think this still being written somewhere at Combine Overwiki. Also, I´m reading on the beta console that it says Source 2009? Wow, you guys were really too far working, even if the beta is now completely unrelated with the actual engine of MI. P.D: You got working and fixed the env_terrainmorph? The Axel Proyect did, but sadly it isn´t public.
The child worker fits way too many citizen clothes. At one point I put the earlier 2002 clothes on it.
it's an error with my HLMV, doesn't load any textures, not even the ones for HLMV
Better than mine: [t]http://i809.photobucket.com/albums/zz14/fireguy717/Fatasszombie.png[/t]
