But the link is dead, and I can't find a working link anywhere. Edit: nvm, found it.

I love Missing Information, but is there a mod that has tried/is trying to recreating all of the HL2 beta and Raising the Bar and make it one single connected story?
Insolence is kinda doing that and there's Raising the bar.....
HL2 leak/beta/rtb mods always fail, don't count on it ever happening. It is the curse
I feel like it could be done, but people would need to stop claiming stuff as their own and/or be willing to share models/coding fixes/tools in order to make it happen. There's just a ton of fucking content that has mixed been mixed together so much that it's hard to tell where one phase of development starts and another ended. A lot of time is wasted sorting out which version of that Skyscraper you want to work with, whether or not you want Eli or Captain Vance (or some mix), the different styles of City 17 (European or American), the varying amount of Combine influence on architecture and the environment, which leak npcs you want to include (and the fixes for the more broken ones [or all new code in the case of the Cremator]), guesswork about the Kraken Base levels/story, the fight at Weather Control/Complex/Whateverit'scalledIdon'tremember, how, if at all, to include the Manhack Arcade without being a complete bore/distraction to the player, and tons more. Honestly, the only way I can see the old story be told through gameplay is either one very fucking long mod, or two shorter ones. A lot of teamwork would be needed and people would have to be willing to share. I care about the leak/beta story/stories a lot and I wish that they could be enjoyed outside of wiki articles and barely functional maps; I don't know what it is, I just enjoy it very much and I want to see something worthwhile happen with the old concepts. Frankly, it's depressing.

I spent some time thinking and why not hear me out. If the combine manufactured the gasmask/handed out shitfood why would the resistance take the combine down and obliterate all chances of survival. Even when Gordon took down Airex the facility still make the atmosphere dangerous for breathing. So then I thought that the chips for weather control that Vance mentioned were to be sent to the citadel and used to override weather control for it to do a complete atmospheric change. Sure there would still be damage everywhere but the air would of been breathable and plants could regrow. Thus explaining what the chips were for and how the world was saved. I prefer to imagine that they were actually planning to fight the Combine with bags of potato chips, instead. Like a new addition to the Brickbat, before it was cut.
Im working on Insolence, and I can say that we are nowhere close to fail or die out. Everythings going full swing. The entire storyline is planned and laid out. Of course, I take my time to say that if someone here wants to help us, go ahead... they will be extremely welcome.

So, I'm working on recreating the original lab sequence. Here's a video of what I've finished so far. Note, it's a WIP. I've also fixed subt (the map that comes before this) and the arcade (the map that comes before subt), but i didn't record them because they're pretty boring right now.
