• Half-life 2 Cut Content - Is it me or dose the cut content look better than what we got?

With them nothing to do with the actual content of the disc, of course! I actually had bought some number of discs like that with mods ranging from Minerva (which I am not as hyped about as many but alright, we'll say it's one of the great mods) to Legacy, and even including single maps. One time there was a mod called Re-Evolution with the RtB Depot concept on the cover, called a 'licensed product' with 'Publisher: Valve" saying on the cover also. Wow.

There's also fanoff.mdl in cs:s/csgo, in props/de_prodigy.

What I'd do is show the hard edges, the bolts on the doors and windows and maybe the corrugated stuff on the normal map, have everything else flat, and then stick the scratches and little bits where the metal is worn on the spec map in white/grey in the alpha channel. That way you'll get nice highlights when the light hits the detail.

I'm pretty sure either Milkyway M16 or someone else modelled it based off the brush version. I don't think it's actually from the leak.

I think I tracked it down to some russian dude who made it based on some really horrible screenshots that we have of the original model and its texture. Basically the texture existed in the leak(which you seem to be aware of) but the model was overwritten by an untextured retail apc in the leak(apc.mdl). This is why no model exists to match the texture. The texture was supposed to go with apc.mdl but the prototype retail one in the leak ruined that. I found this model remake in some russian leak patch or something. I plan on actually releasing this here with the updated normalmap and phong just for fun.

Looks pretty much like his, anyway.
I thought it was made from some brush APC on one of the oldest maps.

How about the older leak skin, brown, with less of bright and selfillum textures? P.S. The bluish guard reminds me of the Airex pistons somewhat lol.

Here's something interesting - Overwiki says that the midget sub doesn't appear in any Borealis maps, but in the map d3_borealis_01 (last edited march 2002, randy folder) is a way more detailed sub then the one that appears in proto_deep maps. It also is supposed to have props used in it (W_SubRearCone.mdl, W_SubThrusters.mdl, etc). After dicking around with the optimisational nightmare that is 04, I decided to just make it from total scratch instead of trying to re-engineer it. Going pretty well so far, gonna try it with GYFTVs in a little bit.
Anyone got a clue as to what the Combine Assassin Tank is supposed to be? But assuming that the Borealis was attacked during Gordon's ride with it, it doesn't look like the Combine had enough time to chain it up in the air. It also appears to be somewhat techno-organic, as opposed to most common Combine tech (only the earliest version of the Citadel comes to mind). So from what I can gather, this is very likely captured by the Rebel and was intended to be transported to Kraken Base for studies or whatever, which might explain the Assassin's frozen nature. It actually kind of reminds me of the secret Statue of Liberty heart in GTA IV.
