Half-life 2 Cut Content - Is it me or dose the cut content look better than what we got?
I don't see any such screenshot in either the OICW article or the MI screenshots category. However, as I suspected, you appear to be referring to the obsolete Wikia page. The OverWiki is not responsible for Wikia's wiki and makes no guarantee as to the quality or accuracy of their content and wiki in general (much the opposite; their content is demonstrably poor and incorrect and the wiki is an obvious an ad farm).
I edited it so it said it was the Missing Information OICW, some idiot was determined that it was the beta's OICW though.
Also did it for the AR1, along side with editing back in the old photos.
So who runs the newer one, anyway?
I thought you simply did not care for the Wiki...
I thought you simply did not care for the Wiki...
just because he hates the wiki doesn't give him the right not to know who runs the wiki
I thought you simply did not care for the Wiki...
Well that's more of a people question than a wiki question.
I also could've said that I was referring to the wiki I though is the actual current wiki and thus it doesn't apply to the CO wiki... but that is true for them both anyways!
Still, would like to know the answer.

Could you ever make a more tangled phrasing?
Not caring isn't exactly hating.
Could you ever make a more tangled phrasing?
yes
I'll be the one to answer, then: Overwiki is run mainly by Klow, a few of his buddies likely help too.
:words:
are you ever going to rewrite the weapon articles on the wiki to use their proper game names instead of the spergy realistic ones written currently? its awkward right now given that everything else is getting cleaned up.

What about SiPlus?
are you ever going to rewrite the weapon articles on the wiki to use their proper game names instead of the spergy realistic ones written currently?
Yes, I've already begun this process. For example, HL2's pistol article which has long gone under the conjectural title "USP Match" is now located at "9mm Pistol", its proper name according to the HUD, the official guides, and so forth. You can see the information I originally collected on the correct weapon names here:
http://combineoverwiki.net/wiki/User:Marphy/Sandbox#AKA
Of the main weapons, only the SPAS-12 and MP5/MP7 names are left to be converted. The problem here is that, as it has been with all of the weapons, these names are mentioned hundreds, if not thousands, of times over the entire wiki. Most of these edits are done through an automated bot, but manual intervention is often needed in order to avoid introducing dozens of grammar errors.
The next step will be to convert the leak weapon names, but those are far less defined and require additional checking.

I'm trying to edit the Spas-12 page to make the Gallery conform to the format of most other weapon pages, as it had both pre-release and retail images mixed up without any dividers.
Unfortunately, it's not letting me submit my changes even though I'm answering the CAPTCHA correctly.
*shrugs*
Apparently, Gearbox Software didn't create Opposing Force and Blue Shift.
EDIT: Apparently it doesn't like spaces or something. I typed in "Gearbox" and it worked. :v:
EDIT: Hooray, the Gallery looks better now. :downs:
EDIT: I find it annoying to edit pages without an account on Overwiki. The amount of CAPTCHAs I have to deal with... :suicide:
EDIT: Why am I late? :smile:
Ok.
Fun game for all: try to come up with a resonable explanation why the Under chapter finds Gordon suddenly below the goddamn Citadel.
Who compiled the beta maps shown on the half life wiki?
Mostly Klow best I can tell

Because he's under the citadel?
Early Alyx was pretty hot. I made a fanart, hehe

I've been waiting for someone to restore that old concept character. I loved her design and how outworldly it was, even if it didn't fit the story.
Hell, I even liked E3 alyx with her red hair and green clothes (complementary colors yaaay)
I have to say once again that I love E3 Alyx because that bodysuit really captures her [del]figure[/del] character.
Hell, I even liked E3 alyx with her red hair and green clothes (complementary colors yaaay)
The 18th century called, they want their color wheel back.
The 18th century called, they want their color wheel back.
vs. brown, white, and blue? i'd take stand-out colors over that.
vs. brown, white, and blue? i'd take stand-out colors over that.
Sounds like modern first person shooters. Guess HL2 was way ahead of it's time even in palette, huh?
vs. brown, white, and blue? i'd take stand-out colors over that.
Red and green aren't complimentary. Red's complimented by cyan, green's complimented by magenta.
Red and green aren't complimentary. Red's complimented by cyan, green's complimented by magenta.
you're sorta right. when defined by the RGB color model, red and cyan are complementary. however, I'm more talking color theory and the classic color wheel, where red and green are complementary. i guess you're right in this case cause monitors and tvs use the rgb color model, and well, alyx is real, i just think of the color wheel model first cause that's how most people look at it. plus, it really shouldn't matter cause both rules are applicable to any art form, cause green/red look good with each other as does red/cyan, but most people say red/cyan looks better cause it looks much nicer on an rgb display in comparison to red and green, which has to emulate colors on an rgb screen to look like it would in real life.
however, I'm more talking color theory and the classic color wheel, where red and green are complementary.
And the RGB color wheel was invented in the 19th century, hence my comment.
In the Half-Life SDK, there is a qc for a so-called "German Human Heavy Weapons"
qc:
/*
==============================================================================
german human heavy weapons
==============================================================================
*/
$modelname valve/models/g_heavy.mdl
$cd valve/models/hvyweapons
$cdtexture valve/models/german_models/german_heavy
$scale 1.0
// whole body
$body studio "../german_models/german_heavy/g_heavy"
//$body studio "gunreference"
$include "valve/models/hvyweapons/heavy_shared.qc"
g_heavy.smd (nor .max) isn't in the SDK anywhere, and neither are any relevant textures (presumably).
Any backstory on this?

In retrospect, I remember that Half-Life was really censored in Germany, with Human Grunts being turned into robots, among other things.
This is probably that.

im gonna magenta my foot up your ass if you use one of those smart guy words again

You might say that the foot up his ass was... complimentary.
*prepares for a wave of dumbs*

Grab DepotDownloader from VoiDeD's GitHub, compile it and use depot ID 74 (Half Life German). Download the german depot and check for the model. That's how I got my hands on the clean Axtinguisher and Ubersaw textures for TF2 (German version) and the Australian cricket bat texture for L4D (or L4D2, I forget which).
It could be the German censored model....or it could be something else.
After downloading the German Half-Life 1, I found that there's no HAssault model in it, nor any related sounds.
The German version of HAssault is probably not around except in Valve's HQ, I guess.

Or maybe the German version was set up after HAssault was cut from the main game and thus they didn't bother creating a robot version of that model.
