Would you be able to add the tag people in groups option?
Would you be able to add the tag people in groups option?
Adding tags will be easy; displaying them isn't... Add it as a requested feature to https://github.com/waylaidwanderer/Mist/issues?page=1&state=open if you'd like. I'm currently working on that list right now.
Here's the changelog for Mist v2.0.0 coming in the next 12 hours:

Afaik, the program still requires a login

Mist behaves like a standalone Steam client. It doesn't communicate with the actual Steam client, so you will still need to enter a username/password to use.
And I'm not sure what you mean by trade errors, but I tried to make trading using Mist be as similar to trading using Steam as possible.
Mist v2.0.0 has been released. I'm pretty proud of what I've done between the initial release and this one. Here's the changelog.

Chat works, but I can't seem to get trading work between one account in mist and one account in regular steam. I tried sending trade requests both ways, but havent seen anyway to accept them in either client.
When I invite the mist to trade it says
"You cannot trade with G4Vi's Premium TF2 B0T/Alt because they are not logged in."
or
"G4Vi's Premium TF2 B0T/Alt is not available to trade. More information will be shown to G4Vi's Premium TF2 B0T/Alt if they invite you to trade."
When I invite my steam to trade it says
"[3/23/2013 11:58:47 AM] You have sent G4Vi (Gavin) a trade request." in Mist"
and nothing in steam until I cancel the trade and it says
"G4Vi's Premium TF2 B0T/Alt had asked to trade with you, but has cancelled their request." in steam.
Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

Restart Mist. I had that happen to me once - it was because Mist lost connection go the Steam servers and failed to connect properly again.
Using Mist for the first time now. I must say it's great so far.
For me it'd have most use for trading items from my alt to my main or vice versa.

"any computer"
"Windows XP or higher"
"not Linux"
Hope you're sharing this on sites other than Facepunch as well
There's definitely a niche for this kind of thing, and I'm part of it- this is excellent for my old netbook
I've shared it to Reddit (/r/tf2 and /r/tf2trade), but can't really think of any other places that would be receptive to this.

Unfortunately Linux isn't supported.

I wish the design was less windows 8-ish.
Everything else however is looking good.
Also, I have a general API key for facepunch.com: DB6775CA5DE7662DF422E4ABFADBFA9E

I talked to a couple people before continuing on with the redesign. The general consensus was pretty positive so I went ahead with it
I love Open-Source... In a few days you've accomplished what would take one person a good week or two.

Actually, it's been all me so far, and it took a week or two :P
It keeps on saying authentication error: retrying in 2s
I restarted, cancelled, and everything

Please make sure you have .NET 4.0 installed. (http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=17851)
If this doesn't fix it, paste the contents of Mist.log to pastebin.org
Is the OP updated? Just wanted to know if group chat works.
Do you plan on optimizing it, Jhang? It takes up more resources than steam itself.
Is the OP updated? Just wanted to know if group chat works.
OP usually is kept up to date. No, group chat isn't implemented yet. Would it be useful if I did implement it? I'm mainly concentrating on trade features at the moment.
Do you plan on optimizing it, Jhang? It takes up more resources than steam itself.
Does it really? It's never done that for me. It always stays well under.
As for optimizing, yeah, kind of. The main reason why it takes up as much CPU as it does it because it's always logging Steam messages to Mist.log. I'm considering having an option to turn it on (or launch Mist with a debug parameter) only when you want to. Read/write operations usually do take a fair amount of resources.
Groupchat is really useful.
Do you have plans to expand this to support Steam trading cards?
Will this ever get updated again? Would anybody be willing to get it working with the new API changes? Is there anything like it out there? I loved mist when it worked, and I have neither the time nor the know how to fix it.
