I asked my friend earlier this year if I could buy his SNES with about 7 + (4 spare copies) games for £30, he said sure, I finally get round to buying it and apparently his dad's far too attached to the console to let it go. So he gave me a couple of his spare SNES copies.
He gave me a Spare copy of Link's Awakening, Mario All-Stars, Lemmings and Mortal Kombat 2, all boxed and ready for display next to my figures

You lucky lucky man, what's the Vectrex like?
It's a really nice console, the graphics are impressive for it's age and the sound chip is excelent.

Can't wait for my multicart. Although it's one of those things I probably won't play on, it's more for decoration.
Found my Sega Megadrive plus games hidden away the other day. It was a good day. Thinking of setting up an old portable TV somewhere so I can get it working. Just thinking of playing Streets of Rage and Sonic is monumental. Also on a not so retro but still not so current note I found my PS1 lying about with it so I intend and get some childhood favourites as well as possibly a few rarities (LSD - Dream Simulator to name one)

Wow even the new C&C's. That's dedication. I haven't bought any prior to 3. RA2 best of the series IMO.
tbh I loved C&C 3 but the very last c&c tiberium twilight Is terrible :(
Ill get it one day but I wont pay more than 10$ for it....
Only to complete my collection
I have my working copy of Earthbound here :3
Yeah, I have all three G-cons for all three Playstation Systems respectively, I had a lightgun which had a small plastic pedal just like the actual mechanics of the arcade version of Time Crisis.
I actually fell for the nostalgiapressure and bought both a gun and Time Crisis, its gonna be sweet
Bumping with some birthday gifts I received...

The TG-16 works perfectly in PAL land and the seller claimed it was brand new, and I honestly think it was which is pretty awesome. Came with Blazing Lasers, Legendary Axe and China Warrior.
The Jaguar was supposed to come with a game but the guy is sending it seperately apparently, it's either gonna be Cybermorph or AVP and I'm going to get another one later this week hopefully. Also what on earth were Atari thinking with the inserts for that console? Jesus it's like egg cartons but worse.
Just won an Amiga CD32 with around 13-15 games too.
Well the Jaguar games finally arrived, Tempest 2000 was sealed also

Bumping to keep this thread alive.
Also a tip for anyone who's looking to get into old games: the novelty might wear off pretty fast. It did for me. I lost interest in my SNES and the games I got for it after two weeks.
I got a NES sitting in my room, I dunno if I have any cabling. The last game I had was Zelda 2 but I gave that to a friend.
I don't know about the rest of you, but all of the 8 and 16 bit consoles were really generic.
Microcomputers had a lot more character, and the games were SO much better.

Retroactive PC elitism?
Yay the thread is alive again
Got a Wonderswan and a game called Buffers Evolution for it, and also decided to start collecting for my Jaguar.

Sweet jesus
Retroactive PC elitism?
Kinda, there really were no massive and hugely interactive games like the old microcomputers had.
All you saw were silly platformers on consoles really. And the odd racing/sport game.

Phantasy Star, Dragon Quest, Warriors of the Eternal Sun, Landstalker, Secret of Mana
First two were Master System and NES. Last three were MegaDrive and SNES.
All of them are massive. Bigger than most games today.
I must get around to getting my entire collection out and getting some nice photos. Here's what I remember:
1 x ZX Spectrum 48k + fuckload of tapes
1 x ZX Spectrum MicroDrive
Loads of other ZX spectrum shit like BASIC manuals and joysticks, only just fits into a large storage box
2 x Game Boy
1 x Game Boy Advance
1 x Game Boy Advance SP
1 x GBA e-reader (+ assorted dotcode cards)
1 x Sega MegaDrive (AKA Genesis)
~20 x MD games plus manuals
1 x Nintendo 64 (sadly not working last time I tried, think it might be a busted PSU)
~50 x N64 games, all original purchases (including a gold Majora's Mask) some with boxes and manuals (especially Mario 64)
3 x Nintendo Gamecubes
~75 x Nintendo Gamecube games (including a rare-at-the-time import copy of Animal Crossing)
2 x Nintendo DS Phat
1 x Nintendo DS Lite
1 x Nintendo DSi (missing)
1 x Nintendo 3DS
~30 x games for all above
1 x Xbox (crystal, softmodded to run xbmc)
1 x Steel Battalion (fairly rare, inc. Controller & both games)
~10 x DOS Floppy games, all in box with manual (including MOTHERFUCKING COUNTDOWN)
~100 x Assorted PC Games, most Win95/98 era
fuck everybody else gamecube is where its at
Gamecube?
Too mainstream.
NES with Mario Bros 1, 2, and 3 all beaten, Duck Hunt / Clay Pigeon Shooting (still have the zappers!) Castlevania, A BOY AND HIS BLOB: TROUBLE ON BLOBONIA, and a few other odd sports games.
That's about it for "retro" for me. It all used to be my moms but she gave it to because I loved 'em when I was young
Fuck yeah my Dreamcast shirt arrived :v:

There's a really cool Zeldaish game that has randomly generated dungeons for the WS called Dicing Knight. I've always wanted a Wonder Swan, they're interesting and lovely looking machines.

Were you even 5 when Dreamcast was released (and died)?
I think I was 19, because I spent my first paycheck out of highschool purchasing one, and Sega Rally.
