Will JC3 run properly on a GTX 1080? Or should I wait for the price to drop more?

It should, after all it's a fucking GTX 1080
I've heard it has terrible optimization and problems running on some cards like the 980ti for no reason, so please save your zingers for someone else

you need at least a 1680ti or higher dude, save your money on an inter-temporal dimensional jump drive and then maybe we'll talk

It ran fine maxed out on my 970 and a 1080 has nearly double the power, so

JC3 is also very CPU demanding game. As far as I know optimization and display problems were only on AMD cards during the release.

It's a bit of an odd one. I have a GTX 780 and lags a lot on my system, while two of my friends have like the 760 or whatever and they have no problems. Mine was built to be a slight bit better than their systems so we can't figure out what's wrong.

Do you have Linux? If so, no need to upgrade
Why get JC3, it's pretty much just a marginal improvement gameplay wise over JC2.
Just get JC2, or if you already have JC2, just play JC2.
This is what I got so far:

I still have 20€ left in my steam wallet.
snip double toast
You said a 1480ti last time so make up your mind dammit
actually sources tell me you need a 1880ti superclocked with nitrogel cooling

this entire post makes my brain hurt
do you realize how dumb this sounds?

Yeah I refunded it already after I got constant ctds and 30fps at 1080p :v:

I can get 60 fps on a 970 at 1440p ish
probably fucked up settings or it doesn't agree with other hardware
I know the game has a REALLY BAD memory leak issue so anyone who doesn't have extra ram (over 8gb) has issues after a short bit of playing
honestly probably for the best :v:
Picked up BL2, Dust, and Momodora: Reverie with $4.02 left
Any suggestions for shit under $4?
So i recently got grow home and played though that. Possibly one of the best games i got for a sale in awhile.
You guys should check it out. If you want a quick and fun game to play though.

I can suggest The Swapper if you like puzzle games.

Jesus christ I was about to get a stroke reading your post, I thought you had misspelled "gone home" until I realized that grow home is an actual game.
Downwell is $1.49, it's an arcadey roguelike platformer that's really fun.

Wow Jesus, really? I don't think I had many/any ctd issues at all. I know alright in missions it would lag real bad depending on what went wrong, but I don't recall ctds. That is terribly optimised.
steam sale and i end up playing clicker heroes for 6 hours....

it's not bad at all, probably a personal hardware issue.
Theirs a lot of steam reviews with people with enthusiast cards/rigs that get gut wrenching performance and some are just fine. I don't know what hardware setup I have that could effect it that badly.
I'll keep my 30 bucks until they patch the game and make it work the way it should instead of releasing DLC

Yo it's okay, I don't plan on touching that game. Also you should probably go get a doctor to check on that stroke of yours.

You were about to have a stroke because someone liked a game you don't like??
Daily reminder that if you like SRPGs/RTSes and don't mind a bit of Weeb and World War-undertones; grab Valkyria Chronicles.
5$ for a game like that is amazing.
The only things I bought were Dying Light: The Following cause I've been planning on buying it for a while I was just waiting for the opportunity and The Darkness 2 which I regret buying but it was only $6 so whatever.
Anything that's on sale that's worth looking at as someone who is a fan of single player FPS/TPS or adventure games? If it's a multiplayer title it better be really good because Overwatch already has me occupied with that.

help i cant stop buying video games

Seconding The Swapper, one of my favorite puzzle games ever. Not necessarily for the puzzles (although they're generally pretty great and the mechanic gets used in a lot of interesting ways), but for the atmosphere. It's gorgeous with an awesome ambient soundtrack and a cool "classic sci-fi" feeling story (sort of a Stanisław Lem vibe).
i really liked life is strange. don't let some of the cringe-worthy dialogue and 'how do you do fellow kids' shit get to you and its a solid story and experience for 10 bucks.
Is Mad Max worth?
Been looking at it for about a day, and I figure since I really haven't bought too many games maybe I should finish up my triple a collection for the year
