Do you guys think Dark Souls 3 will be discounted much? My friend is waiting on a Steam deal to buy it
And I just got paid, hell yeah. Now to find games that I actually want and don't already own.
I'm still somewhat disappointed that I couldn't get the wormhole badge, I only got to like level 37,000,000 before the minigame ended
I wonder what do they have in stock this time around, last year was thoroughly enjoyable but 2 years ago it was bleh

Probably not, but there's no harm in waiting.
Most of the games I want are relatively new and probably won't go on a sufficient enough sale.
Why does the internet have a collective aneurysm when there's a Steam summer sale? Most of the games that get heavily slashed are either ancient, or crap. The games that everyone wants only get 10-20% off, it's not a huge saving.
Games that sell well and are popular don't get massive price slashes, it's only the ones who are doing poorly or have already peaked in popularity that get nice discounts.
Maybe I finally grab some of those indie games I was missing.

Doubt it since it recently came out.
My backlog of unplayed games goes as far back as the 2011 summer sale, I wonder if I should cool it this year.
Thing is, it makes more sense to buy them when they are on sale and stockpile them than it does to buy them full price when you're out of games.

once upon a time we had flash sales that discounted a lot of cool indie games that would ordinarily never be picked up. it was a good way of expanding your boundaries to something you might never have bought otherwise
and then valve nixed it and it was shit
but i remember they said something about only trying out the non flash sale sales for 4-6 times. i'm hoping this year will see a return to flash sales

I've had a lot if cases where games I got from some bundle have been picked up by my family share even though I don't play them / know I have them
So least someone else is enjoying it

We lost flash sales in favour of refunds
Daganronpa
Fantastic game, I'd buy both tbh. Still one of my favorite games/series I've ever played hands down. The second game's minigames were kinda ehh but the story itself was fantastic and like a sequel should be I would say even better than the first's.
As for me, I haven't really decided on a game to get yet. Thinking about getting Oxenfree if it happens to pop up on sale.

There are a lot of people who don't have massive steam libraries and the sale lets them buy lots of games they haven't played for cheap. The sale is also great for budget gamers, since older games are both easier to run and discounted heavily. 20% off a 60 dollar game is 12 dollars to spend on other things, or even a couple 5 dollar games.
Speaking of price slashes I hate to have to bring this up but please be wary of fake discounts. Publishers/developers can raise the base price of a game right before a sale and then "discount" it to have it remain at the original price or even higher while still appearing to be on sale.
Use Steam Prices with your correct region and find the game's price history. Should be towards the bottom on a row of tabs clearly labeled.

there was a lot of cases like that but had legitimate reasons last year
A game got out of EA, thus the long term discount on the game ended, then place back again because seasonal sale
GTA though, evil shit
I really hope gtav goes for $30 this sale.
Also, hopefully skyrim legendary edition still goes for $10.
Why did I buy Operation Raccoon city.

Why indeed
i'm hoping to buy as much as i can on my wishlist and buy the new doom if it's on a sale
Primarily looking to get Phantom Pain, Witcher 3, and Mad Max this summer sale.
top several games of my wishlist are what i'm primarily looking at.
xcom 2, turok dinosaur hunter, armello, stardew valley, dragon's dogma, resident evil remaster, resident evil 0 remaster, wasted, evoland 1 & 2, doom... decent list?
i'm also looking at smaller, less expensive co-op games for me and a friend of mine.
I'm hoping to see some VR stuff on sale.

you ought to just buy stardew at full price, it's worth it and since the dev is just one dude it feels like a nice gesture tbh
It's nice to support small scale stuff, especially when the product is as good as stardew
Also if you're looking for coop (splitscreen) magicka is great, been playing it with my gf
It can end friendships though, beware

i'd like to buy stardew at full price but i really don't have that much and i'd like my funds to stretch as far as possible.
also nah i'm looking for online co-op. plus we've already gone through magicka but it's definitely a good choice for other people interested.
Oh hey, you know how there totally is an RE sale going on right now? Guess what, Capcom are selling fake keys.
None of the keys for ORC that you have to input ingame work. None of them. That's 2/2 Capcom GFWL games that don't work, I couldn't even connect with Lost Planet 2 (Which was super disappointing, as I really, really like that game, but didn't want to play it if not even Co-Op worked), and now here, keys aren't real.
How does that fucking happen, there are a couple -hundred- people on the forum who have keys that aren't real
too bad i have no cash
$1150 standing ready
I have a big dilemma regarding Dishonored. You get it free with the sequel, and that's a pretty good fuckin' deal, but I don't know if I'll even like it.

Don't know if they do sales for unreleased games.
dishonored was alright
then again i played it like a dumbass and killed everyone and everything so i don't really know how the stealth is
