Does GTA:SA still hold up in 2016?
Pretty much, with SAMP / MTA you can still have lots of fun online and the single player has always been strong.
In case it does irritate you, there are a few graphic mods that just make the game look more modern and update the textures without fucking up

The port sure as fuck doesn't. Certain things just straight up don't work at all if your FPS gets too high. And the game only comes with the ability to cap the framerate to 26.
I wanted an Xbox360 controller but wired to avoid problems and it was really hard to find a new one. The only thing I may not like (since I haven't tried it) is the lack of a right stick for the camera, not sure how comfortable the touch pad is.
The touch pads are pretty doppe. It's even better than a stick, if you ask me. With some fine tuning, it can even be as good as a mouse.

I just found a deal with someone selling their Steam Link + Controller for 40 euros so i'm getting that :toot:
I could never figure out how to use the steam controller right touch pad as the right analogue stick for the camera is just never feels good no matter what settings I use
For anyone who has a Xbox 360 controller and the Steam Controller, which one do you prefer? 38 for the Steam Controller is tempting but i already find the 360 controller very comfortable
If it wasn't on sale I'd say it depends on what you want. If you primarily play at a keyboard anyway, and just want it for gamepad games, the Steam Controller is probably not worth it for twenty dollars more.
For the same price though I'd say Steam Controller. Even if you don't want the fancy features it's very comfortable and improves your standard gamepad game experience in my opinion. For example, I started playing Dark Souls, and I put the sprint button on the rear grip paddle and made the camera mouse joystick. Now I can sprint around and dodge and use the camera at the same time. Mouse joystick mode makes looking around way easier because I could never get the hang of actual joysticks anyway.

Yeah i went for it because it also came with Steam Link so that would mean i can play all my games on my couch with that joystick which seems like a radical idea.
Hopefully he won't break the deal
Steam in-home streaming is really nice when it works, but sometimes it's really unstable. Then again I use an Xubuntu laptop to stream, so Steam Link might be better.
So any hidden gems lurking aboot?

Want some stealth games? Styx and Shadwen.

Steam controller has a long learning curve, especially for FPS/TPS games. But the extreme amount of configurations in the control is astounding, and you can make it fit entirely to your profile. I even use it for my desktop when watching streams in the bed. Had it for 8 weeks now and I prefere it more, but remember that it resembles the PS3/4 controller more, and personaly I don't like the upper triggers.
I'd strongly recommend you buy a Steam controller, even just purely for experimentation. I regret nothing.
edit:
opppps too late
I do have to stress it has a huge learning curve too. The D-Pad in particular took me a while to adapt to. Though now that I'm used to it I'm convinced it's better than a standard D-Pad.
4 games for only 8 cents?

SteamWorld Heist! And Shadowrun Returns games, too, if you're into turn based combat.
Any good strategy games out on sale? TBS or RTS?
I'd consider a Steam Controller but I already have a PS4 Controller I use, and I don't think i'd like the big picture exclusivity since that means any non-Steam games would have to be added and played through steam
Is civ 5 complete pack worth it?
Is civ 5 complete pack worth it?
Spent a few minutes learning and and before you know it you have sunk a few hours in it. This game gets the worst out of you though, the temptation to start a war because someone is placing cities a little too close to you
So after completing the sale's level one badge, I've been receiving duplicate cards more often than usual from the queues.
I'm unsure if this is an odd coincidence or if Steam is trying to tell me something.
Okay, I don't know how but my mind's fucked. I could've sworn I had Skyrim's Dawnguard when I bought Dragonborn and Hearthfire, and I did have Dawnguard when I was playing the game a month ago, but now it's telling me I never had it.
Trade me some cards, anyone? I need #8, and I can trade any other card. Steam has given me duplicates of every single card, but 0 of the 8th card.
I have 9 fucking copies of #10 :v:

You can have mine for free, I'll add you.
hold on the fucking steam trading shit, I have to confirm on phone first
iuoiodfigfhjighjf I am so mad! steam!!! Y U wont work?:godzing:
None of this is working, sorry you'll have to get it from someone else.
I am so mad
Yeah I tried to just sell cards on the market and buy the ones i needed, but it gives me like a 14 day waiting period since I haven't done the phone authentication thing.
Is that gonna stop me from trading too?

It told me the same thing, it put my listing on hold because I didn't use the Steam Mobile Authenticator in 7 days.
I made the listing on my Android app.
I used the Authenticator to log in just yesterday.

Don't feel too insane. I swear to god a couple games have up and disappeared from my library before.

Well I was able to get it for $9.14 rather than $14.99, so I completed my DLC set legitimately anyway, even if I did somehow pirate Dawnguard (why only that?) and didn't remember it before. Sets me for Skyrim Special Edition in October too.
Is there anything good I can get at the last second for 3 dollars?
