It gave me one card that isn't actually even physically showing in my inventory and wasn't even clickable.
Wow. I was planning on getting the starter pack deal Rainbow Six Siege has.
But the game has increased in price from 15€ to 24€ for no apparent reason, i guess they're pulling a GTA 5

I don't get how companies think people wouldn't notice that. Most people that are gonna get it on sale already know the price, that's why they are waiting for the sale in the first place.
i just want to buy one game, can the servers stop being garbage ;_;

Is anyone able to get through the queue without the darn heavy load?
Not a real response but this reminds me of something.
One thing a hate and love in flash sales is the panic when a sale is about to end and you are about to purchase something while the servers are heavily loaded.
There are a few times when I made it a few seconds before the sale ends.

Uh, isn't increasing the price of something just before a sale illegal? Like, you're jacking up the price and telling people they're getting a bigger discount than they would have gotten before the sale.

If it isn't illegal, then it should be.
I'm trying to save for a trip to Seattle so hopefully not every game on my wishlist (That I actually want to play at some point) will be discounted. I usually wait until the last day to make sure I get the best price. I might pick up at most one game, and it'll be from last generation so I'd have to research fixes for Windows 10. I got burned with Bioshock 2 and Fallout 3 as they still crash even after I've followed the guides on how not to make them crash.
This is like the only time of year that I actually buy anything from Steam. This and the winter sale for Christmas.

If you looked at the Starter Edition FAQ that Ubisoft put up, you would have realized that the Starter Edition was only buyable from June 2nd to June 19, not a day more. So no, they didn't increase the price, they just aren't selling the Starter Edition anymore.
Here's some more info on what the Starter Edition was: https://support.ubi.com/en-GB/faqs/000025116/Starter-Edition-FAQ

scumbagging prices is fucked up
I am paranoid about buying games. I'll buy something I've been waiting to go on sale, and then it'll be in the next Humble Bundle and I'll feel like a fool. So I'll probably hold off on buying things unless I decide it's something I'll play immediately. I have a monstrous backlog to get through. At least 800 unplayed games.

please
I can't even buy shit, the servers are so broken and slow.
Oh wow. Everyone thought the Skyrim DLC would get huge reductions for when it came high time for the summer sale.
Instead the base game is cheap as hell and yet the DLC only got 25% off.
:snip:
It works now !
Don't bother with steam sales until like 3-6 days in when the servers get stable and less people are panic buying
atm that's all that people are doing
If it isn't illegal, then it should be.
it is illegal but most games which do jack up their prices done so reasonably. For example, exiting out of Early Access will mean the price would increase followed by a sale.
But in one case, GTA V packaged their digital currency (worthless and a waste of real money imo) to jack up the price then discount it a -40% with the price remaining the same as it originally was.
They refunded the game and I think they were sued for misleading adverts.
Was going to get Valve Complete pack as a gift for a friend.
(Once they put CS:S & CS:CZ on sale since they still full price)
But no You cannot buy it as a gift if your own account owns all the games, so it disables the Add to cart button.
Seriously Valve?

There aren't really many good sales anyway
i'm just trying to get through the queue :pcrepair:
I wish the Dagonronpa games would get an actual price cut.

This is honestly a really good deal
uh, depends on your specs dude.
with GTAIV ? not really
the optimization for this game was probably done by a drunk intern, it's like a gamble to get good frame rate, even with military grade GPUs
by the way, with the way the sales are going over the years, the percentages are getting so low I'm expecting them to go in the bloody positives over the next few years
I figured sales would be shitty this time around.
Now that I've sold my Redline AK, I'm contemplating either buying hotline miami 2, or waiting for the price of the Redline to drop even more as people rush to sell theirs for the summer sale.

Wouldn't buy it anyways, since they're making a sequel so no new content for the original anyways.
I played Sunless Sea like twice in the last couple weeks and now every single game in my queue is a horror/adventure game. It's not even a genre I play very much!
Also I'm honestly glad they did away with flash sales and daily sales and all that. In previous sales I had to just watch the flash sales like a hawk, hoping games on my wishlist would be there, and I would usually end up doing all of my buying on the very last day. It was kinda stressful trying to wait and wait for the very best deal.
