is there no inflation?
hope not because after learning of bullion i created a machine shop with 8 queues of it. gonna leave it ovenight, i'm up too late already
Ah what the hell, i'll give this a go. Is there anything about the game not included in any of the guides or manuals I need to keep note of, other than the recommendation to skin the tutorial guy? Things like current galactic situation, recent notable changes and the like.

Like I said before, Syndicate has the galaxy by the balls. Decent playerbase in france and russia apparently.
Ah, city detection on galaxy maps works a tad differently, local ship's power output now adds to detectability.
Double check ship designs for needed doors, ladders, and systems, just because its "Valid" doesn't mean its correct or usable.
Do NOT hit shift+page up on any space craft when in the atmosphere unless you want to instantly die.
If you make a new empire, don't set it to open immigration unless you want your name to start showing up on the diplo board asking why you attacked them.

Shores of Hazeron isn't a fleshed out economy simulator, the only real inflation that occurs is in the player-player trades. Also, there's no difference between the different bullions besides rate of output. They all make Cronodollars.
Do you still get the insanely useful vulcium (or whatnot) knife at start?
Not played this for ages, I left in the shitstorm after the planet management update.
Hell, he actually made ground vehicles useful at all yet?

It is delicious bullion.
Do not question it.

No, regular metal now. He decided it was too powerful, apparently.
How long does the game normally take to start up after having created an empire and race? Been staring at my overweight horned punk rocker for the better part of 10 minutes now.

Alas, Targoss must now fall without any dignity.
At least he used to be ritually slaughtered.

Depends on quite a lot of things, but it can take a couple hours sometimes. I'm starting a new empire to see what's different and relearn the game, then I might see if I can join anyone, as I made a moonbase or two, and my first ship, but never got past that.
Rockets only need mechanical parts, metal, a Large Rocket Motor, textile and air-fuel. Along with the required tools. There's no step in their production that requires petrochemicals.
Food, time, and jobs.
Make sure you're checking your city's reports in the Mail too, don't want them all leaving because you didn't know they wanted a church.
You still need the space suit which does require plastic unless you don't plan on getting off the rocket.
I remember when the creator of the game was flying around randomly, and ended up flying around on my planet.
I happened to be kind of stuck there too, the monsters were overpowered and would gang up on me without me having time to react
He killed the monsters for me
Definitely going to check this out again
Oh jesus, I hate this new building technique, I much preferred roads being simple square tiles I could drop down.

Or you pack a lot of medkits and hop in and out really fast, doing just a little each time until you have progress that'll let you stand outside the rocket without death.
Speaking of rockets, I built a few (accidentally, meant to build one) and flew for the first time earlier. It was incredible. Also I somehow launched myself into space and completely lost my first rocket. The second rocket went better, but instead of landing on my moon I mistook a different planet for my planet and flew like a full 5 minutes going some absurd speed and landed on its moon. I built my first moon base there, which was entirely just a town center, a road and a slab. I then landed on what I thought was my planet, and turned out to be an inferno planet. And then I went back home and had to explain to my people how I am that fucking terrible at navigating.
I STILL don't have any fucking oil.

Hey, at least you have multiple moons to mistake for your own. Sometimes systems don't get moons or outer/freezing planets. So that means zero access to precious luminite and eludium.
Back before rocket drives were possible on starships, you had to then build a rocket, and attempt to fly to another solar system on the hopes that it has eludium/luminite, and then build your moonbase over there. Granted this was a process that took roughly 5 minutes of acceleration to lightspeed, 5 minutes of Deceleration, spare fuel, a hope, a prayer, and a shitton of luck.
Goddamn rocket drives are easy mode for starships.

This is for scouting out your own planet for resources quickly.
Welp, damn thing still hasn't loaded. Guessing it got stuck or something. Gonna try again.

You could be in Limbo

Limbo is when something basically the server tripping and fails to load you in.
Usually the only fixes are either pure luck, or a full server restart.

Not often enough, you might just want to try and make another race, and hope you don't end up on a bugged server cluster.
Finnaly got my PC working again and joined the Empire Tark made and now i have absolutley no idea what to do.
Okay, there are these carnivorous flying things above my city. They won't leave, and they constantly track me from their position.
What do.

Nevermind, I think they left.
Well it's working now. Spawned on a planet that seems mostly covered by godforsaken jungle.
Some odd bug with flower textures; they seem to be stretched out so a single flower has a e.g. 1 metre x 1 metre diameter flower head.

I'm Bob the Clod ingame, a hideous amalgamation of Lucifer w/ a punk rock haircut :v:
Empire opened up, theocracy. Named Crotia, password is ass - you can build cities anywhere you want. any shenanigans and i'll lock er up. (also, were moving soon)
What's the best way to earn money planetside? I've been hobo'ing up Tark's capital and subsisting on people's vegetable gardens :v:.
Haxus fucked up that part of the game a while ago. Ask your emperor to confiscate a little bit of money from the citizens and share it out so that you can get started.

Yeah I never see you guys online on my Empire, I'd be more than willing to give you some funds to get started.
Anyone recruiting? I offer saddle services and Free TL32 Uni and Mine tech.
Oh no, Rapist (whose empire I joined) is having BSOD issues with his computer. As far as gameplay goes it doesn't matter as it seems I have the same rights as him, but I don't want to build my first spacecraft as that is something not to be missed.
